The close friend said Spedding had driven to William's grandmother's house on Monday, September 8, walked down the side of her home, saw the washing machine and said he would need to order a part and would come back.

The friend said the washing machine part arrived on the Thursday afternoon but the following day when Mr Spedding got in touch with the family, he was told he would have to carry out the repair another time.

This is an earlier article - 22 Jan.

I cannot help and revisit everything BS close friend (presumably Colin) has said to the media.
I have said it before but everything that has been said by his mate ...... just seems to have some significance attached at a later date.

He drove to grandmothers on Sept 8 which BS has now corrected as the 9th Sept.
BS walked down the side of the house and saw the washing machine.
Why would he have felt the need to tell the media which way BS walked to view the washing machine days before William vanished?
I am more interested in where he parked the van when he quoted the machine.
imo

So information about BS and the dates he visited, or planned to visit grandma's were also stated by Colin early in the peace. This and the fact that BS himself also confirmed that the media had reported the dates correctly (when he was being questioned as he walked down the street with MS) both contradict his claims in his recent home-made video statement.

I think it is very unlikely that the perp is NOT BS. The facts are quite clear:-
- Who had recently attended the home -BS
- Who was called on the morning of the abduction - BS
- Who has been charged with prior child sex offenses -BS
- Who has paedophile friends - BS
- Who (apparently) had a Spiderman toy in his car/van -BS
- Who has made a statement to the media protesting his innocence- BS
- Who has an alibi that has never proven true (according to MSM) - BS

I think there are too many coincidences for it NOT to be him. Its either him or he's statistically the unluckiest person on Earth.

Have we heard what time Williams mum opened the curtains and saw the cars?
Were they still there when she was running around with William, did father see them?
I find it incredible that she was able to remember the windows were down
Not being in Aus I'm curious to know under what circumstances a person would leave window open,.

I think putting out pics of these cars is just another tactic to scare a POI who probably owns a similar car. I just don't see any potential kidnappers parking outside their target in full view.
If tbe cars did exist I think it was more likely an illicit meeting, or someone visiting the odd house.

All of these theories about drug-dealers and / or burglars that accidentally came across a child and stole him.. I'm sorry, but they are ridiculous and far-fetched. I think you're grasping at straws.

So...the sort of person who would burgle your house is completely different to the sort of person that would sell a child to paedophiles?? Or are they opportunists willing (or needing) to make money the easiest way they can? People that would sell their own mothers to make money? Even criminals have more than one criminal career.
Lets not forget that if you wanted to burgle a house you would probably pick a house that you have some sort of prior knowledge about (how would that occur I wonder?)
And where would you intend to sell the items that you steal from the house?

Apparently there are other persons of interest but we have not been privy to that information. On that basis I suspect BS is the least likely to be the perp.
We don't know who else visited the home.
BS would need to be a very clever man to commit a child sex offence of such depravity and not reoffend for 30 years wouldn't he?
He had children in his care who were spiderman fans,
most people would be aquainted with a pedophile but never know it, given the stats,
we don't know if his alibi is proven or not as the police have never said either way,
they still call him a POI and not a suspect,
lastly, he only made a statement re the dates, I don't consider that to be protesting his innocence.
If police were sure he was the suspect, they would arrest him, I am sure.

I think it is very unlikely that the perp is NOT BS. The facts are quite clear:-
- Who had recently attended the home -BS
- Who was called on the morning of the abduction - BS
- Who has been charged with prior child sex offenses -BS
- Who has paedophile friends - BS

I think that Hilly knows a lot more than he is letting on. These cars are very likely to be the two cars in the pictures shown on 60 minutes, even the hubcaps/mags are the same. LE have always said that BS is just one of their lines of inquiry. I suspect that the owners of these cars are known and being watched also. The public is now required to add in any missing pieces of the jigsaw. The drivers quite possibly are only required to give evidence to anything they have seen or perhaps they are the perpetrators. Surely if they are local people that hang around together then the two cars would be a familiar sight to some people, but I imagine they have other secrets to hide. Obviously our job now is to focus on these cars and draw out what information we can. All the while, we need to be mindful of the fact that IF William is still alive, LE would not want to endanger his life by spooking people who have something to hide. I feel that we must be getting close to some answers and we need to fully respect the way LE are handling this case.

If someone is a suspect by a series of co-incidences:

- an ex boyfriend was convicted of child sex offences recently
- 5 teachers from my school have been convicted of sex offences that occurred at school
- a number of family members have been molested (by different offenders)
- I lived opposite a known, convicted sex offender for a few years when I was in my 20s
- I was Hanging out in a suburb once at the same time a child was taken from the street and murdered
- my friend's teacher has been convicted of the kidnapping and murder of a child and has just been charged with another historical kidnapping and murder

Would that make me guilty of a child sex crime if I couldn't provide a corroborated alibi for where I was at the time of the offence?

I really don't know anything but I have a lot of thoughts on the case. I was really lucky to come across those two cars on my Google Earth walk for William I could have easily missed it as the year changes as you go along on Street view of the iPhone Google earth app. The more I looked at those cars I really thought they looked so much like the 60 min pic and being stamped 2014 I thought just maybe.
oh yeh I'm a she not a he :) all my other thoughts and theories are from reading through the posts and 60 min.
I was thinking about how those cars were parked if they were involved maybe the windows were heavily tinted on both cars the perps were siting in the back seat up against the door. They wined down the front window to distract you from looking closely at the cars. You see the front window down and think car empty then look away. With all tinted windows up on car you look closer to see if anyone in there.

We stop the car down the street a bit from William’s grandmother’s house. “You are here,” he says as we look up through trees to the house, “and you see a three-year-old kid in a Spider-Man suit on the road and there’s no one else around. What do you do?” It’s pretty easy to establish a rapport with a little boy. G’day Spider-Man. How are you going? Where’s your mum?
The way Jubelin sees it, you open the door and you put him in the car. Perhaps your first thought is to return him to his parents. Certainly, if anyone saw you now, you could say you were driving him to the police station in Laurieton, 15 minutes away. Instead of knocking on doors, you head back out past the showground. No one *follows you. You cross the Camden Haven River and nobody notices young William with the seatbelt over him. You bypass the police station in Laurieton and you just keep driving. By the time William’s mother calls 000 you are 30km away. There are tens of thousands of hectares of dense bushland between you and Kendall. *William is strapped in beside you, dressed in his Spider-Man suit.

I sent pics to Crimestoppers on the weekend. Really wanted to see what you all thought on here. I have not put pic on any social media.

Most criminals absolutely loathe child sex offenders though.

I still think if the cars were relevant we would have been told earlier and at what times they were seen, and whether anyone else saw them, I thinks it's a psychological tactic, or else desperation on the polices part.
A lot of mind games being played now

The place was Kew.

photos from Google earth

Hi Hilly, I think those pics of the cars are from google streetview May 2008 aren't they?

Good on you for passing it on to crimestoppers anyway.

good on you Hilly. Don't be discouraged. Seems to be the day for people missing the point and criticising other people's theories. Personally I think unless you are spouting wild theories like he was taken by aliens or ISIL you have a right to be heard and treated respectfully.

Meth dealers sell to children and they take advantage of children. Meth dealers target school kids. Drug dealers even move into places where kids are plentiful to sell the drugs to. Please lets not contemplate drug dealers have any consideration.
Addicts with $1000 a day habits become very inventive when desperation sets in. When they are really off their face they do stupid things partly because the drug gives them the confidence to do things they normally wouldn't. An adrenalin rush taking a child off a driveway is right down their alley.
Many of these meth dealers are paedophiles selling to children. Go tell the cops druggies don't deal with children. You'll get some terse replies.

As Makara stated, there appears an increase in attempted abductions.

2 people in a car can pull a child off a driveway in under 5 seconds maybe 3 if the car was pulled up close enough. Sometimes they'll have a 3rd person spotter wider to see if someone is coming or to wave the go.

All of these theories about drug-dealers and / or burglars that accidentally came across a child and stole him.. I'm sorry, but they are ridiculous and far-fetched. I think you're grasping at straws.
That's exactly the kind of place a significant drug deal would, and does take place, every day. Especially if one of the parties has a mate living in the remote cul de sac. I don't see junkies kidnapping a child to sell, but its entirely possible that a child is hit by a car and the driver, off his/her face on meth, deals with it by throwing an injured child in the car and driving off.

It doesnt matter if the images are a 2008 dataset. There is nothing to say those two vehicles don't have a relationship today. What sort of car is it?

It looks like a eastern European vehicle. A SEAT as suggested? Some of those were sold for a while here, maybe under another badge. Its no mainstream car in Australia.
