At the moment there are two named POI. There is a lot of assumption on this site that they must both be involved. If it turns out that one, or both, are not involved, then this case will be one of the greatest travesties of justice this country has ever seen.

I agree wholeheartedly about BS. His involvement may only be knowing people who did it, I'm getting the sense. In that case the media have a lot to answer for - and yet, apparently they don't, given a complaint against the SMH was dismissed. Still, ethically, I think too much focus on him only because his name was known when others weren't. AJ, less so. Even if he had nothing at all to do with WT, he's still a convicted pedophile. According to MSM his own family now want nothing to do with him because even they didn't know his full history and they're apparently disgusted. So... yeah. No love lost there.

I don't think they would normally call them mummy and daddy unless the arrangement was intended to be permanent - ie the family is fostering the child but intends to adopt them as soon as possible (getting an adoption legally finalised can take a long time).
Probably just his age of learning a language and associating his family with titles that everyone uses.

I must try a device wifi without a sim card in it.
But I can slmost guarentee there will be a MAC or NIC ID with any comms.
Not even sure a phone will transfer data without a SIM card partly for security purposes and comm operations.
Im sitting on the lounge right now using an iPhone with no SIM card typing this. And I have pants on.

well she did describe them the day she saw them! If I noticed a couple of cars this morning I thought were sus I'd be able to remember their colour, make and model as well and yep I'm a 'sheila' too! ;)

Most of the older models I could recognise but with these newer ones they all look the same side on.
Yay go all us Aussie sheilas.

Just jumping in after a BIG read.

From what ive seen most people arent upset so much as the parents not showing their faces but more so how little they seem to have put themselves out there. Im not saying they havnt done everything in their power to help William, in fact i think quite the opposite. Just because WE dont see it, doesnt mean it hasnt happened.

I also believe that by not publicly identifying themselves may be to protect the sister. In what form that may be, who knows?

Its been repeatedly stated that they came from a rough background. We dont know the details behind that background. Imagine if the daughter was also deemed to be in danger if her new location was identified? Theres so many reasons and i think the parents need to be given a break. Only THEY know the full details.

Phew long post. Sorry just had to blurt it all out :)

The people who would not want their names broadcast are the people whose lives are being destroyed by allegations that they are responsible. And it may well be the case that these people are not involved.

The judge imposes the suppression orders on application by a party. There is the. An argument about whether an order is appropriate. The judge doesnt impose a suppression order without real, valid grounds.

With both of there records I don't think it's any injustice, there pasts speak for themselves

Glad there names our out there as hopefully it will protect innocent kids in the future.

There is nothing innocent about TJ, whether he is involved in Williams abduction or not, read his rap sheet. It's a public service his name is now out there . He has no rights as a human being as far as I'm concerned.

Regarding Jones I agree. Spedding doesn't have a criminal record, as far as I recall.

While we kept our hopes up for Allison Baden-Clay her body was found only 10 days later and we were all united in our shock. We helped each other through, cried together and then became a formidable force. Some of us travelled to Brookfield to be together. We felt we knew her.

William has been missing over a year now and if he is found we will be united in our happiness and relief.

Unfortunately there could be a different outcome and I feel we should bracing ourselves because many will experience grief worse than others.

Please talk over your feelings with us if ever you are feeling overwhelmed.

I sometimes am awash with helplessness.

If only the clock could be turned back for this sweet little child.

Thank you for this beautiful post...I wish I could back out now from all of this because I am a sensitive type and I've even found myself pining over this little boy as if he were my own child. I honestly don't know how I'm going to be, but I'm thankful that I have found WS so I can talk with others that feel the same way as me...choking up as I type x

I'm not sure if he has either but he has spent the time in jail on pretty horrific charges.

BS doesnt have a record as far as we know. He is facing charges, which is a long way from being found guilty of those charges.

I came across this wreath while checking out images. Then I went to the toy shop with my son the same age as William. My son and I hit the Spiderman section.
All I could think about was Wil and I choked. Wiping back tears after hearing my son say Spiderman 10 times we checked out fast. All I could think was you poor little bugger.

We are feeling the same Acamelia.
The search, the find and then the court proceedings is a roundabout of sadness, disgust and anger.
In other cases some have had to logoff until later, it's how we all cope individually.
It's Ok.
I must admit I've hardened up a little due to the insensitivity of the forensic process and the disgraceful antics of the offender and their blind families.

Justice for William....may he be found safe and well.

How crazy (maybe the wrong word) to think the criminal record of AJ was "unbeknownst to me and his family" !!!!
Enough said about that!
Of more importance is the sentence "Jones is a friend of another person of interest in the tragic mystery, Bill Spedding."
More unreliable or imaginative reporting or is it reported information from Jones's family? Up till now we've only known that they lived opposite and AJ's daughter had bought a washing machine off BS if I'm correct.
:gaah:

Thank god my little boy isn't in to spiderman as it really would of killed me, but he has the same big brown eyes and very engaged little face like WT...I often spend longer sitting by my sons bed watching him sleep and wondering where William is. I mean, I'm at the point where I'd even consider adopting him or a child in a similar circumstance if need be...I'm sure others can relate x
