It's becoming clearer and clearer why the police have been claiming little William could be in the hands of a paedophile ring. I can't imagine how frustrating this must be for Jubelin and his team, what a pack of animals these people are!

Agree....I always felt there was some sort of link with Pawn shops and I couldn't quite pinpoint what it was...then someone on here...maybe Bohemian?? (where is she by the way??) said that it is common for old mobile phones to be used as ways to trade child pornography. I think she may have linked an article at the time??? It makes perfect sense that this could happen. Second hand mobile phones are lying around everywhere. I think I could put my hand on about 10 just at my house alone. They could easily be sold as seemingly innocent spare phones but the reality could be that they are chock full of photos and videos.

If William is in a paedophile ring, do you think he's still in Australia, or abroad? Could he be locked up in a basement somewhere? How long could be hidden or exchanged in a caravan network? Especially with such a high profile. I can't even wrap my head around the evil of this situation. I'm sure if you're capable of abducting a child for sexual purposes, you are capable of murder too.

I just want to take a minute to say, the judges who let these sex offenders walk free with a slap on the wrist are just as guilty as the people who commit these crimes. The law protects the criminals first and foremost. I've been reading about some historic child sex abuse scandals in Tasmania, and the fact the child abusers and rapists sometimes do not even get a jail term is disturbing.

The fact that PB and AJ were members of GAPA and BS was a member of a similar family support group nearby makes my blood run cold. Do I think the Pawn shop is one of the most important parts of this investigation? Yes. Did they distribute images and videos of children via old pawn shop cell phones and cameras? I think all signs point to yes.

I agree with whoever said its becoming obvious why the paedophile ring angle has been mentioned so much. Poor William. Hopefully no government corruption will sabotage the justice needed in this case and others.

My phone couldn't open the maps but the bottle shop below the old pawn shop is a Cellarbrations.

According to Google Maps it's a 15 minute walk or a 3 minute drive (and Google Maps normally allows more time than it actually takes.) It all could've happened incredibly quickly.

Now that I have a clearer idea of what police are thinking, I don't feel like there will be a positive outcome

According to Google maps, it would have taken 16 minutes via car to arrive at "Speddo's Pawn Shop & Brokers" (1/65 Bold St, Laurieton) from where William was abducted (Benaroon Dr, Kendall) - 12.5km.

From the Pawn Shop to The Haven caravan park (Arnott St, Laurieton) is only 3 minutes via car - 1.2km.

I have always thought the simplest theories are the strongest in this case, with BS being the key.

I agree in part but bill Spedding has never been convicted of crime yet and no charges at the time he was involved in a support group, PB I don't think ether and AJ no child related crimes so although it's frustrating it's nothing to do with the judges.

This link claims that bickford and jones were both members of GAPA. It also claims that BS was not a member. I hope this helps Frogwell.

Thank Chloe. I don't think I've read that article until now, at least not in full.

Unbelievable that so many pedos belonged to that group, and must have had grandkids in their care.

The other group was called the Grandparent and Kinship Care Association.

Jones also lived in Wellington at some point and Spedding ran a pawn shop there too.

I've commented on Spedding's brazen behaviour before, showing up at the crime scene while police were still around, driving past the bush search, but - if he is responsible - this takes the cake:

This article is similar to what has been published about a 4th POI, however they have removed his name from the article and police state that they won't confirm any POI's in this investigation as it is still ongoing. I have wondered how they have been able to get away with publishing all these people's names during this case and the damage they are doing if they are wrong. In this article they are calling the 4th man suspect. Taylor Auerbach of the Daily Telegraph (aka scoop) is not getting the lead story or breaking stories for this case out of the ether. He gets the scoop for acting as the police pr machine. IMO

Didn't one of the other articles say that Spedding belonged to a different grandparent organization? No coffee yet this morning but I swear I recall that. I need to go back and read that particular thread.

I do remember us discussing how Spedding and Jones were neighbors and soon after Jones moved and GAPA was set up in Port Macquarie, Spedding moved that way.

The best they could do is if they hit or were picked up by the same cell towers. They can't tell where unless they do a GPS search and they can't do that in the past. Some one can only do that at the present time.
