I certainly respect your and everyone else's opinion, Karo, but my gut says he's in it up to his eyeballs. If he wasn't the one who took him, then IMO he knows who did.

However, having said that it has also often been right.

Also, as I said I firmly believe in respecting everyone's opinion, including mine, but that's all it is, just my opinion.

I suspect they're strongly investigating both cases, and maybe even others we're as yet unaware of. IMO

I meant publicly to give him a "fair trial" regarding the historic charges.
Obviously if they had any solid evidence, they would have moved in, unless they thought it would jeprodise finding William's whereabouts.

Did he know GM. Both were active in the community apparently.

From what I have read around the traps he did know GM which makes me question why someone would deficate in their own nest and put themselves at increased risk of being caught out.

Surely a lone child that no one knows of and who he/she belongs to would be more of a prime target...unless this was a "payback" or of getting even. I know that most abusers are known to the abused but this is not "close" enough within the circle of trust??? William wouldn't know these people from a bar of soap I would of thought

Hi Violet, I think we all share your conundrums re 'I still don't understand why they are releasing this information now when he has obviously been a POI since early last year, when his house was searched.. etc'

I just wonder if Jubelin has played it a bit like a 'dingo drive' (yep, I'm an old bushie!) You start off with a wide, secure circle ( those days it was men on horseback) bordering the area. Then u gradually reduced the size of the circle, until you have them contained in a small secure 'pen' so to speak. Animals that hunt in packs will all come together and eventually you have the whole mob - then it was curtains for them. No more will they prey on that which was not for them.

The difference is, the poor dingo doesn't get another chance, and he was only looking to satisfy his natural right to food!

I totally agree with those who post here of the need for a new approach to our justice system & the penalties we hand out (for many crimes) but in particular to those who commit sexual violations of children.

IMO, castration should be mandatory. Then I will review next steps ... !

I also have puzzled over the supposed 'secrecy' of the children's visit, given the outcome seems to indicate someone was in the know.

Is BS the only washing repair person in the area? Just wondering what led to the initial communication between he and grandma. .. does he perhaps 'letter box drop' which gives him an opportunity to review the area; sodas to kore people; get a call back and a chat about circumstances ??

I wonder if his role was as a scout - I can't think anymore - feel sick. Just want resolution and justice.

Very similar to how I was seeing it in my mind also... like they have been running a giant lasoo around them all and they are slowly pulling it tight. Can't wait till they rip it shut.

This is another interesting twist and I'm not convinced that BS is innocent or guilty but now there has been AJ, PB, DN and BS in the area. BUT BS is the only one who has not been convicted of any crimes related to children in fact I think has no record at all. He of course has been charged but not convicted of other crimes but it is a weak case. A case the police no doubt pushed to pressure him. Maybe, just maybe he is not involved.....

Makes me think of Bill Cosby. Labeled as American television's "favorite dad", Got away with dozens of crimes for years (and this was with grown women) and now finally after years of sex crimes going back to the 60's getting charged.

When this is all said and done, I can't wait to see who and how many are involved, whether it be BS (I still think he is) or someone we have not even heard of yet. But I do think it will be multiple persons.

I still wonder if photos of William had surfaced somewhere and police are keeping it quiet.

Agree...it is most frustrating to me that they can be charged but given light sentences and their names are often suppressed. We are talking about our most precious commodity, our children, that are at risk from these people. Yet one could be living right next door and you are not allowed to know. Apart from how it concerns me with my own kids, I deal with this issue in kids sport and it makes no sense to me that there are prohibited people in my community who are not allowed in the vicinity of a sports facility....yet I am not allowed to know who they are. But I have a duty of care to protect these children.

They should all be on a public registry! I get so angry that these monsters get to walk around protected. They offend, get a light sentence then repeat.

We have phone apps here in the states that shows where they live. I used to live in a pretty bad area when the app first came out and oh my! Shocking. But here you can also be registered for things like public urination or if you are 18 and date a 17 year old and the girls parents report it. I know someone who served jail time for the dating a minor over 20 years ago....

He once lived not far from grandma. Wasn't there talk earlier about William having been at a street Christmas party there? (Back when we were discovering that it wasn't William's first trip to grandma's, even though it had been reported as such early on.)


Here is a reference to a few Christmas parties on that block, where everyone is invited. I'm not sure why we thought William could have been at one of them. Perhaps we were speculating? Or was it mentioned in another article?
