News about William's disappearance hit the news pretty fast. I very much doubt there would be a single person from that area who doesn't remember where they were that tragic day.

Police interviewed known sex offenders within days. Surely PB was one of them and it would have been in his best interest to confirm with his wife, friends, whatever EXACTLY where he was that day (if he really didn't remember.)

Next time the reporters get in his face they should come up with some smarter questions.

When PB was interviewed by reporter Dan Nolan outside Port Macquarie Local Courthouse on 20 January 2016 (he appeared in court that day over 'breach of reporting conditions' re the previous child aggravated indecent assault conviction) - the story airing on ACA on 9 February 2016 (http://aca.ninemsn.com.au/article/9083338/tyrrell-men), he claimed on the day of poor little William’s disappearance (12/9/14), he “was right here in Port Macquarie with friends having lunch…I was at my wife’s house”. Seems to suggest that maybe they were not together by then? (and that was prior to his arrest). See about the 10:20 minute to 10:30 minute mark in the ACA video.

Now he says he and his wife entertained friends for lunch but he struggled to recall the location. “We went out to somewhere. I can’t remember exactly. Surely they (the friends) would have verified that (to police),” he said yesterday. “I’m pretty sure we went to a club, I think it was Westport (Club), I think.”

So, his story has changed. Also, William disappeared just after 10.30am that morning. What club serves lunch at 10.30am? Also, the FM alleges a green or grey sedan drove past the Benaroon Drive house about 9am while William and his sister were riding bikes in the driveway. Who knows if that was him and if he’s involved, but was he at his wife’s house or at the club in Port Macquarie for lunch at 9am that day too?

Add to that..... Jones's family said Bickford was living in a pub at the time William went missing

On Wednesday Bickford said the last time he spoke with Jones was at Wauchope's Hastings Hotel, though the two had not been in contact on the day of William Tyrrell's disappearance or since.
The 2009 Mid-North Coast senior volunteer of the year said while police had questioned him twice, they had "never searched" his Port Macquarie home.
He also appeared to cast doubt on the investigation of the disappearance.

"There's something very strange about the whole business," he said.

And there's a white car parked there. didn't mean anything to us when we were having that discussion so long ago, but could be of interest now. Anyone wanting a quick getaway wouldn't want to negotiate that long driveway, one wouldn't think. Much quicker if you're parked on the side of the road. IMO.

According to some older news reports, the checklist would have also had to include things like.. watch for that woman who drops off her kid at school each day and then goes for a run through the neighbourhood, (except for on this day) watch for the woman and her daughter who normally each day have coffee out on their porch, (except for on this day), watch out for the next door neighbour who is leaving her driveway ONE minute prior, because she might see something, beware of the neighbours who are INside their homes, potentially looking out their windows, and/or listening, and hearing things, like a vehicle, and a car door, etc. And watch for the cameras over at the wherever-it-was, be sure to bypass that part. The 'luck' of that perp is just way too much, imho.

ETA: Oh and also, don't forget about the guy mowing his expansive lawn, he might see something too.

I'm happy to be ignorant in the ways of pedophiles... but for the life of me, I cannot imagine why they would get together in real life, or know the true identities of one another, or meet in person to review photos, or whatever they do when they are together. I can see how there can be massive pedo groups doing online stuff... acting independently, then posting to a specific audience.. I can see how a name would get announced in a newspaper, or some pedophiles might come to know of one another's crimes while doing time together..

I think it is similar to a group of even well educated, wealthy business men who meet at golf course/sports club/bowling alley (40y ago)/at restaurant for example and during/after their meeting they spread in all the winds to be unfaithful to their partners. After that no one betrays another group member, all preserve the secret, repeating this again and again. If a partner gets distrustful, they all stand together against the partner and are "helping" with explanations and excuses and lies.
Who does fit into the group may by chance become another member and does the same as all the others.

I really think this is it. An arrest will come. I'm doubting bs was involved. The cars the lies the way it's suddenly come out in the media. Imo and thus us not known fact but PB and AJ both knew of their convictions so had common ground. Decided they would together find another child for their evil behaviour. Both could not have access to children anymore due to the convictions. Scoped out places for children at home that day, realised the 2 children were at home, on a large property, came back, William was there out the front, grabbed him. Perhaps did not plan to murder him but did due to the intensity of the case. I'm sure there is some flaws in this but I just think it's along these lines. Paedophiles just like any other humans come with a diverse range of desires and taste...Hopefully to most of us there behaviour in totality is viewed with nothing but utter contempt and disgust. You ask if there is some code between paedophiles...again...totally subjective...depending on each individuals desires or particular attraction...

You say you can't imagine them getting together in real life...but it happens...they find each other....Take some more recently high profile cases.... they show how these sick individuals find each other....... one most recent case where the young 22 year old from Epping Victoria ran an international paedophile website that featured "torture" of young children and babies......he had thousands of followers domestically and internationally. Matthew David Graham ran this sick site ...he was in contact with another recently convicted paedophile - Shannon Grant McCoole​ (A childcare worker!!!!!!) who had access to hundreds of kids...and he also ran another site and had at least 1000 followers....Matthew Graham was also in contact with another disgusting waste of oxygen - Peter Gerard Scully (Paedophile, child murderer, human trafficker). Mathew secured the rights to air Skully's video called Daisy's Distruction....a video depicting the rape and torture of an innocent three year old baby girl.....so I guess the answer is there is no particular code or level of depravity that can be appointed towards an individual paedophile...some within their own groups may find some things "Too much" others maybe looking to the deeper depths of depravity...

But...what it does prove is these individuals can find each other...if they choose to meet up in person that would be their individual choice...and it does happen...

The boy with the Henna Tattoo is another stark wakeup to the fact that paedophiles do indeed meet up with each other in person....any google image search with the keyword search "Paedophile Ring" will bring up many group faces of individuals that have meet up in person, victimize children....

So I guess what I am saying ....in as much as it's hard to fathom...sadly they do meet up in person....to abuse a victim....to share in person images of their abuse on victims...to feel some twisted solidarity with likeminded people....hard to accept...

I keeping thinking back to the house for sale directly across the road from the grandmother's property. Some of us discussed this house way back in an earlier thread. 35 Benaroon Drive was advertised for sale not long after William disappeared. The vendor was advertised as a 'he' and was wanting a quick sale. The photos of the interior of that house creeped me out. Such weird photos to advertise the sale of the property. When William was first reported missing some of the volunteer searchers apparently heard noises coming from that house but when they checked around outside, the house appeared to be vacant. It's not known if the police have followed up on this info, although they were made aware of it.

Just checked and this property was sold just over a week ago.

My point is (as has been discussed previously) did someone living in that house see William playing and quickly grabbed him within a matter of minutes? Was there someone hiding in that house when the search for William was underway? Was someone squatting in that house? Someone who wasn't supposed to be there? I'm wondering if the police did discover that someone was living there but they have never bothered to come forward to identify themselves to police. I learned from the real estate agent that all of the properties in that particular estate are on septic.

All conjecture on my part but as I mentioned, this house gave me chills when I first saw it. In fact it still does.

I've been researching possibilities regarding the sparse furnishings in the 'creepy house'. IDK where I read it but it was said that a house in Benaroon Drive was owned by partners who were contesting a divorce IIRC. I wonder if the 'creepy house' was part of the financial settlement and this was the reason for the urgent sale? If so, it's possible one partner was living in the house alone after the other had left or that a friend or family member of one of them was housesitting. Of course, that doesn't preclude anyone being a casual visitor to the house, for any reason or time period.

Maybe divorce because of pedo inclination? Would be interesting to know.

I can't imagine that a person innocent of such an abhorrent crime as child sexual abuse would plead guilty. Like you say the evidence must have been there for him to think he would be taking a risk letting it go to court.

but it sounds a lot better to say I only pleaded guilty to get the lesser sentence.......doesnt it?? Afterwards of course.

The thing is Found.....it was through BS that the connection to TJ and AJ became known.....

BS's mutal Friends associated through the GAPA group and the subsequent grandparents kinship group.....groups that TJ was a member and AJ (Past President)......the fact that AJ Lived in the same previous town (wellington) as BS...and his daughter bought a washing machine from BS....is so not...the only connection between these two..IMO
