I think the point was that just because we can get groceries and lots of other things on-line, it doesn't mean that we all use internet services. It wasn't about comparing shopping to pedophile activity, but rather pointing out that many of these scum prefer the real life experience.

depends which news article you read, some say he was living in walking distance to the grandmothers house and others say he was living in dunbogan this article suggests he was living in kendall at the time but away?

Derek Nichols was interviewed several times, according to reports. The elderly man lived in the same town from which William disappeared in 2014, however, he said he was out of town at the time.
“I was living in Kendall and the police came to see me because I was on the child protection register,” Mr Nichols told News Corp.

I believe that most people here and everywhere, including myself, are most interested in finding poor little WT, whether that be alive or deceased, finding the truth of what happened to him, and bringing the actual perp(s) to justice. I am open to *all* possibilities until the details are known.

Everyone's entitled to their opinions and ruling out or disagreeing with portrayals of a poi in the media is part of that. You might think that someone is guilty and that's your opinion but someone pointing out another view of the person is part of the purpose of this thread.

My opinion is that this thread is devoted to supporting William's family and not a man who has been charged with child sex offences. Some WSers on the thread seem to spend an inordinate amount of time defending that man in particular. I find that extremely interesting, as other men have been mentioned in the media and there has nary been a comment which is in defence of any of them.

I have no skin in the game regarding BS so I really couldn't care less about how he has been portrayed in the media. I think some people forget that, at the start of the drama surrounding him, BS, his wife, his son and his best friend were all over the media giving interviews. So in my opinion they all invited attention from that quarter and the negative commentary which has followed. Not only that, but on the first anniversary of William's disappearance, BS was tactless enough to release a video again bringing attention to himself, at the same time William's FP's were finally able to give a television interview appealing to the public to help find William and not to give up on him. So, under the circumstances, and due to the fact a now 4 year old boy is still missing nearly 18 months on, I hope people will excuse me if I don't continually cry me a river over the way BS is being portrayed in the media.

I'm unsure of how I feel about his involvement but many people seem to have him convicted 18 months ago. And if he is innocent as some believe then I will feel sorry for him of course. I'm not convince DN is involved but a feel less sorry for him as he has a long history of child sex crimes, bs however does not as yet.

Yeah, I was wondering about that.

So much focus lately has been on the region around Kendall but from what I remember there was a Victorian side to the task force working on William’s case. We haven't heard anything about that lately.

What annoys me is that we keep being told to "keep looking" and call Crimestoppers. It would help if we had more specifics. I mean, some people might have noticed something relevant but have no idea if it's relevant.

The example of the 2 cars being seen was an example of the sort of information we (the public) need in order to be able to help. Surely!

Oh well, just have to assume everything is being done in a certain way for a reason.

I remember the article too. It was early on and there was a line after it about police not having any solid leads. I used to get so frustrated by that sentence. You could never tell if the information was worth sleuthing or not.
