I can't help but wonder if offering a reward would prompt those that know even just the tiniest little bit of information to come forward. Sad that people would have to be paid for their information but money does talk.

A few things that have stuck with me...

From the press conference April 2015 -

‘We are pursuing many, many lines of inquiry and the pedophile ring angle is just one’

Regarding the request for everyone that was in the vicinity on the day to come forward...

‘We have pursued that line of inquiry and we have a pretty good picture of what happened on that day’

June 2015

Detective Superintendent Gary Jubelin from the state crime command homicide squad said a reconstruction of the day's events around the Kendall property had revealed there were people in the vicinity that day who were yet to come forward.

There were approx. 200 people in the 1km radius according to police, there may have been others besides the car owners that did not come forward IMO

All I can say is I feel so terribly sorry for Spedding's alleged victims when this finally goes to trial. They were little girl's back in 1987 when these alleged crimes took place. They were aged six and three. Tiny little girls who should never have been exposed to any of this ****! Yet almost 30 years later they are prepared to bear witness to what allegedly took place at the hands of Spedding in 1987. The defense will tear this two girls to shreads! Spedding will walk. Be prepared for that great big "I've been acquitted" grin on Spedding's face when it is all done and dusted.

In the interim, does any this bring us any closer to what happened to William? Not one iota!

I wonder.....I have many theories but I do wonder if these cases are more closely related than we know.....I wonder if this court case will be the catalyst for the missing pieces of the puzzle to come to light.

I have thought long and hard on this and the only reason I can think of is.......money is not what is required to get the answers. Why else? Im asking if anyone does have ideas why else, not being facetious here.

maybe there is no reward offered because police already know who/what happened?
maybe the person who should come forward is involved in what happened, in planning etc
or they arent motivated by money, they are wealthy and dont want to lose social standing?
or in a happy scenario....
they truely love william and wont give him up for all the money in the world!

I truly hope your last comment is the case. But sadly i'm thinking if the person who "love him so much they wouldn't give him up for the world" REALLY loved him then they would have turned him in by now. Unless they think he is better of with them for some reason? I don't want to imagine what that scenario would be so I won't speculate.

IMO police dont offer a reward because they get a truck load of parasites making things up to suit the case.

I guess, the question is for those in the business of law. How reliable is a witness in a court of law that has come forward in light the reward of money?

Sadly, I think more and more in this world, love is a dying light. People are caught in the whirlwind of life and making money. Many people couldn't care less, more so criminals and the scope of people around them. Probably a spin off of the socio-path commonly known as the corporation that follows the fence line of law rather than compassion. People draw their morals from those laws. It waterfalls into the community. No one gives a rats.

The world has become a survival of the fittest at the bottom. And the top are driving it. People are kick screaming and scratching to make ends meet. Maybe money will be the solution?

If paedophile networks are killers, how safe are family witnesses?

Maybe someone is fearful, because they know how dangerous this loose large network is?

Yep, it's a very difficult road we tread when it is littered with the scum that get their pleasure by preying on others.

My experience tells me that victims of abuse do not forget, and certainly those at 6 years of age. And even though the decision was alledgedly taken all those years ago NoT to subject them as young children to the rigours of the Court system I feel it may be very different this time around.

If these Ladies have lived for 30 years with the skin crawling memories, along with all the asoects of their life that may have been impacted by the fallout from the atrocities committed upon them, and have Now taken the decision to push on with this, I would suggest that they will be very determined to see Justice be done, and I doubt they will be easily intimidated.

I understand and your frustration re William, we are all connected on that Makara, but we are looking for a couple of 'missing pieces' and as yet we don't know their shapes. Finding one, helps show the Final Shape . At this stage we need to find one.

Let the Truth Prevail in all aspects.

This is what bugs me, and what I referred to in an earlier post as I would be wanting to impart any information, even if I didn't know it would be relevant.

However, there is the very real situation of being Conspicuous by Absence or Silence.

I am am sure all in the area have been thoroughly looked at and into, and IMO there may be people unaware of their surveillance.

Given my own impatience for a resolution, I can't begin to imagine what the Family & the investigating Team members must be going through.

Sadly, I think the family are resigned to the situation, IMO now they want answers and they want justice!

And on that note, with an Election in the Air, I am on my high horse again in respect of punishment for these animals. Or present jail system is far too good for them.

Hi Wexford, sorry, I'm not sure I am understanding your question, however personally I believe they feel no need to offer a reward, because they are pretty sure They Know the situation and the perpetrators. It's just a matter of assembling the missing pieces and nailing the confession, so they have a 'no doubt' scenario to present to the courts. eg. Brett Cowan ...

Hey Crabby, powerful post & awesome thoughts :)

Police seem to take longer now. Many things come to light, and cases are sown up tighter. No good rushing it through for zero result.

One thing is for sure, people who committed crimes int he past, must be crapping biscuits as technology rapidly changes improving the chance of their capture

Actually, someone told me some technology the other day police have. Absolutely mind blowing. What could take a thousand men 20 years ago, now can take 3 people. I cant say what it is for obvious reasons.
