[h=1]Bill Spedding had lived with child abuser[/h]

A man identified as a “person of interest” to police investigating the disappearance of William *Tyrrell was living with a convicted child abuser shortly before he was himself accused of abusing two young girls.

Bill Spedding appeared yesterday in the NSW Supreme Court to apply for bail after being arrested in April over the alleged assault of the sisters in Sydney in 1987.
His lawyer, Peter O’Brien, said Mr Spedding was living with his then brother-in-law, Jeffrey John Hillsley, a few months before the alleged assaults took place.
Hillsley, who had previously been convicted for child abuse, was later jailed for beating another man to death before raping the man’s step-daughter on New Year’s Eve 2003.

I do wonder about MS. If Bill was actually where he said he was that morning ( having coffee with her and at the school event) I can understand her supporting him with regards to William's abduction. If he was not with her and now these historic offences have come up then what on earth is she thinking. What can he be telling her to make her support him.

Sometimes a woman can be so desperate to hold onto her partner, she may turn a blind eye to things that she knows (somewhere deep down).
Or even worse, they can be so obsessed with their partner (and have their own issues) that they will actually aid, and become complicit in crimes i.e. Rosemary West, Catherine Birnie.

Or, depending on background and previous environments, regards it as normal. Or can normalise it as an excuse if she knows that it's accepted as 'normal' by a very, very large circle.

I'd never heard the psychic thing either! I'm really not fussed if people have to stand on their heads to find him; whatever works I guess? Although, I'd be pretty pissy answering the phones at LE HQ; they must get some whacky theories!

Shel, what is the psychic thing you are referring to? I've gone back a couple of pages to try and find out but couldn't see anything ...

There has been two psychic mentions I can recall regarding William. One was the woman that drew the picture of a face and the other was Lizzie? A woman that said on a particular date she would reveal information regarding William but then never did.

Thank you Kyja; I have heard about those in the past ... yes, that's right - Lizzy Rose ... if I'm not mistaken (can't search for it now as I'm out and about) she said, after doing the reading, that she had passed information to the family but could not share it publicly (something like that - I'll look later and eat my words if I'm wrong!). There was also someone recently who said he's very much alive but goes by a different name now ... again, I'll hunt out that info later and post it (if I'm not breaking any rules, mods?).

Just an FYI and I'm not telling anyone not to post because I'm not a mod so can not do that, but psychic stuff is generally not allowable on WS.

MS going to a psychic about BS and his behaviour is one thing, because it has direct relevancy to the case, but just the stuff psychics say - not so much.

I couldn't find a more up-to-date post and the search function was making me tear my hair out, but I've seen posts get removed for talking about psychics and clairvoyants. Just an FYI.

In unsuccessfully applying for the Ballarat magistrate court hearing to be suppressed, Spedding's lawyer, Peter O'Brien, said his client had been questioned by police over the disappearance of three-year-old William in the Port Macquarie area of New South Wales.

Spedding has denied any involvement in the boy's disappearance.

Publications of details of charges could have 'bizarre' results

Could have bizzare results.....

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-07-...l-spedding-will-try-to-stop-nsw-trial/7669984

I don't get this argument..... bizzare results.

IMO Peter O'Brien was referring to the backlash in social media if the full extent of the Victorian charges are revealed. It was a lame request on O'Brien's part and obviously the magistrate felt the same way.

Mr O'Brien argued in the age of social media publication of the details of the Victorian charges against Spedding would lead to "perverse, unusual and bizarre results".

Magistrate Mark Stratmann refused the suppression order application, ruling properly directed jurors could be trusted to judge evidence on its own merit, regardless of media reports.

BS apparently emailed Channel 7 after the news broke of the Victorian charges against him.

"Sorry I can't give interview.

There is a lot that we want to say but
cannot do so until the case/s are finished
as they are before the court and we want
to keep our defense powder "dry".

All will be revealed."

BS should have also thought about not only keep his defense powder dry but also keeping his wick dry as well!

Am I imagining it or does there seem to be alot of smirking going on from BS in that video?

That made me cry :(
Horrific !
A warning to anyone thinking of reading, it really is shocking and graphic. Dreadful. Wish we had the death penalty here.

Yes Im sorry I should have put a warning in. It wont let me edit now. It is graphic. And that's what they COULD publish.
