Slightly O/T but interesting. I hope William's sister hasn't to spend her entire life with searching for her little brother ....!!

New lead in Terry Floyd cold case murder investigation points to Raymond Jones

Is Raymond Kenneth Jones related to Tony Jones?
Wasnt Tony Jones convicted of assaulting a young boy in a toilet block or was that one of the other POI's ?

I don't know of any association between AJ, RKJ and Terry Floyd, or a young boy being sexually assaulted in a toilet block by the first person mentioned. Regarding other POIs and them being convicted of child sexual assault of a young boy in a toilet block, I really don't remember. The only person who springs to mind is Brett Peter Cowan who murdered Daniel Morcombe. I believe he was convicted of sexually assaulting a young boy in a caravan park toilet block in Darwin, after he murdered Daniel but before he was convicted of his murder years later.

Terry Floyd has a WS' thread here:

Thanks for finding that Bo.... what an amazing coincidence in terms of timing! IMO

No problem, stormy. I thought it was a very sad 'coincidence' too.

If TJ is facing 5 new charges and BS is as well, could the charges be related? MOO

An item in Leslie Williams MP's newsletter caught my eye when I reviewed it this morning:

http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&s...er.pdf&usg=AFQjCNE2N7lxIGw2wf3Ru76Sej4BjyZFzw

Lake Cathie-Bonny Hills Primary School was in the final stages of construction, including landscaping, etc, at the time William disappeared:

http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2015-03-12/lake-cathie-school-opens/6307632

Another coincidence, it's situated on Ocean Drive, near to its junction with Houston Mitchell Drive (known locally as 'Ghost Road'), Bonny Hills. Subsequently it's very close to where a very notable police search for a white van seen entering bushland just after William disappeared (there is an infamous photograph from one of The Daily Telegraph's(?) front pages, with the headline 'Crime Seen', showing BS' Speddo van driving past police about to search bushland in that general area).

http://www.news.com.au/national/cri...l/news-story/efb2b2a086b782aa65f07e6b1f7b9426

Anyway, it may be 'just a coincidence' but I felt it was worth mentioning. I hope the police searched the nearby school construction site and have a list of all the subbies, tradies and labourers, etc, who were working there at the time William disappeared, is all.

Not forgetting another boy was reported to have been approached by a man in a white Hilux-type ute, with numbers over the wheel arch and a palm tree-type leaf logo on the number plates, around the time William disappeared, also in the local area (although police were reported to state, at the time, that they believed the two incidents were unrelated):

Could be hire car Bohemian

A number over the wheel arch would suggest a vehicle fleet number. That could mean a government department or larger private company. Zigzag sticker could be ex department

Police would like to speak to a man who may be able to help. He is described as being aged in his early 40s, tall, and with a grey goatee.

The vehicle in the incident is described as a new white Toyota 4WD, possibly a Hilux model, with a canopy, and a blue zig-zag sticker with numbers over the front wheel arch.

It’s believed the vehicle may have Queensland registration plates decorated with palm trees.

Sorry, crabby, palm tree logo was on number plates, not doors. Please forgive my bad memory. Also, it was reported at the time police didn't believe that the two incidents were related, ie; William's disappearance and the approach to this child.

Boy approached by mystery man at Lake Cathie
The Sydney Morning Herald
Megan Levy
March 6, 2015

'Police do not believe there is any link between a report that a man tried to entice a young boy into his vehicle on the NSW Mid North Coast and the suspected abduction of toddler William Tyrrell in a nearby suburb.

The latest incident occurred on Thursday, when a nine-year-old boy told police he was walking along a street at Lake Cathie when a man pulled up beside him in a four-wheel-drive and asked him to get in.

Lake Cathie is about 25 kilometres from Kendall, where three-year-old William disappeared while playing in the yard of his grandmother's home in September last year.

The beachside town is also next to the Queens Lake Conservation Area, where Homicide Squad detectives investigating William's disappearance carried out a three-day search this week.

However, a NSW Police spokesman said there was no suggestion the two cases were linked.

The spokesman said detectives investigating William's disappearance were not involved in the investigation at Lake Cathie.

The nine-year-old boy told police he was walking along Ocean Drive, near the intersection with Ernest Street, about 3.15pm on Thursday when the car pulled up beside him.

The boy told police the male driver asked him to get in, but he refused and ran away.

The boy told his mother, who then called police.

The car was last seen driving south along Ocean Drive.

Police described the man as being aged in his early 40s, tall, and with a grey goatee, while the vehicle was thought to be a new white Toyota four-wheel-drive, possibly a Hilux model, with a canopy, and a blue zig-zag sticker with numbers over the front wheel arch.

The vehicle may have Queensland registration plates decorated with palm trees.'

Who knows what Col collects Crabby (say that three times fast, :floorlaugh:) but he has known BS for 30 something years and would probably know who he associated with all those years ago.

Am I correct in thinking that Col's friendship / introduction to BS is via the friendship between the respective wives, who both say they went to Uni in Adelaide ( tho there has been some disputing that fact of MS)

Colin Youngberry, a Vietnam veteran from Laurieton, says he has known Spedding for almost three decades and that Spedding is devastated to be linked to William’s disappearance. Margaret Spedding is Youngberry’s wife’s cousin.

Aren't MS and Col's wife cousins? Or am I remembering incorrectly? And BS and Col college buddies? Col introduced BS to MS?

As I said, the police, at the time, said they didn't believe the two cases were linked but the proximity of the searches to the school leaves me wondering if they did search the construction zone thoroughly and get a list of all employees, etc, working on-site around the time William disappeared? I would think so. I wonder if anyone turned up later than usual for work that day who was also residing, or visiting with someone, in Kendall? Just remembering Sarah Yule's words, to the effect of; 'someone visiting, residing or working in Kendall.'

So they started out in Adelaide, and ended up in Laurieton after Wellington??? Did Col the non-collector live in Wellington too? Michelle and cousin sticking together. Wonder what they did at university?

It is an odd place for a construction worker to turn up at 10:30 for an abduction on Benaroon drive. Timing, communication, logistics.

I have no doubt about the feasibility of network that can use encrypted communications like Snapchat via sim-less devices (Mobile phones) WIFI networks with networking out of places like Cessnock max. As the previous post stated. They dont want $#!! in their own nest. The capacity to contact via darknet is greater than ever. Their reach wider. Logistics easier.

Residing in a pub means people come and go without suspicion, and not so easy to trace unless discovered. Some pubs have harboured organised crime. Police cannot enter these premises easily for a number of reasons especially fi the pub is owned by organised crime.

The hotel/pub public WIFI just like Buzz Cafe, coincidence more than likely.

Back at the Kendall Sports Ground, a local dad tells you a story about a chat he had with a local cop friend. The fear, said this cop, was that potential pedophiles in these towns on the mid-north coast acted as out-of-town scouts for other out-of-town scouts. A network develops where, the dad says, “they don’t **** in their own back yard”.
Just a story, but the look on his face says it means more to him than that. “What do you do about that as a parent?”

William Tyrrell: fear in Kendall where little boy disappeared

In this article CY says he does not believe the pedo ring rumors.
"Not one person has been hit with anything from a pedo ring, have they? he said......

He also suggests there will be fireworks when his friend BS is able to make an official statement.

BBM
so he does know something then. Why else would there be fireworks?

On the subject of POI's....I would say that there are quite a few. I have a few myself...I count about 10. I think for every one POI there could potentially be at least 1 or more 'spin-off' POI's.

It makes for an interesting thought, what else is inaccurate?

I've just given the Daily Mail a serve for their inaccurate reporting!!

It is an odd place for a construction worker to turn up at 10:30 for an abduction on Benaroon drive. Timing, communication, logistics.

I'm thinking more of a random opportunistic abduction, rather than the involvement of BS and co. Sarah Yule, the Forensic Psychologist advising Strike Force Rosann, stated that the perpetrator could be/have been residing, visiting, or working in Benaroon Drive:

Inside the mind of William Tyrrell's abductor

Because only family knew in advance of toddler's visit to Kendall, police believe his kidnapper was in the area beforehand.

Rachel Olding and Ava Benny-Morrison
September 13 2015

'Forensic psychologist Dr Yule said police were working on a reasonably narrow abduction scenario.

"There may be a misconception that there is a lot that we don't know about this case. I've visited the crime scene multiple times and there is a lot of information that that location tells us," Dr Yule said.

"Combining that with assessing all the leads that have come into the investigation so far, there really are a limited number of possibilities that can account for William's disappearance and from that there are actually a lot of inferences we can draw about what has likely happened and the likely personality of a person or persons who may be involved."

William vanished from a dead-end street on the edge of a small town. No one but his parents and grandmother knew in advance of his visit to Kendall.

his has made police confident that the person who kidnapped him was already in the area.

"You would have to have some other reason to be there and take that opportunity; either visiting, residing or working in the vicinity."

There was only a narrow window of opportunity to take William, who was snatched in broad daylight and with a significant risk of being seen by someone on the balcony of William's home as well as neighbouring properties.

This has made police certain that the kidnapper was impulsive and took tremendous risks.

And if they took tremendous risks, mistakes were almost certainly made.

"It does seem that this was an opportunistic crime and when somebody makes that kind of impulsive decision, mistakes are made and it's those kind of mistakes that the investigation is focusing on," Dr Yule said.'

http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/inside-the-mind-of-william-tyrrells-abductor-20150911-gjkqyz.html

Not discounting BS et al after what I've read in MSM and their charges and convictions. Just thinking out loud after reading the local MP's newsletter about the Lake Cathie Primary School construction and subsequent searches. They're close to BS' residence but, like the 'local Dad' said, CSOs 'don't **** in their own backyards' so there are other still other possibilities on the table.

The fact that police are being seconded from SCC squads to look at people who have been designated 'low-priority' targets, eg; 'people residing, working or visiting in the vicinity' at the time William disappeared, doesn't mean they won't become 'high-priority' targets, to be further investigated by Strike Force Rosann in the future. We've been 'surpised/shocked(?)' by the outcomes of investigations too many times before, crabby.
