His phone pings - and the strength of the pings - should certainly have been able to verify if he was sitting in Laurieton in a cafe, school, and his office, that morning. I would think the pings would be quite localised during that time period, if that was the case.

This map of the local phone towers also highlights why William's father needed to go elsewhere for wifi/mobile reception for his work meeting/calls, at that time. (NBN would only have fairly recently been rolled out in Kendall, I think.)

A team of 30 specialist detectives and analysts has been searching for clues, doorknocking and scouring phone records. They’ve been interviewing known sex offenders in the area, in nearby towns and in caravan parks. They’ve hit a brick wall, too, Fehon says

You would think so SA.
Scouring those phone records.
I guess that started with who had rung nana or who she had rung.
All the confusion about the 8th and 9th of September. On the surface seems rather insignificant. Col just mixed it up.
I wonder where BS, AJ, PB and DN - in fact any poi we have yet to hear about phones pinged on those days?

because of the persons comment below regarding bs, thought it may be against ws rules to post someones social media comments?

What you did is fine, bearbear. It's okay to post the link and say interesting comments ... members just can't discuss the content of those comments as they are considered rumor.

Thanks SA. I've used it once before but wanted to know location. Also, did you check any specific boxes in the initial query? Just want to pull up the same map as yours.

No, I played with the first four filter boxes, but the info and maps appear exactly the same for all of those filter categories.

So I just made sure all four provider boxes were ticked, because I wanted all of the providers' towers - seeing that we do not know who Spedding's phone service provider is.
Optus has great coverage, Telstra has good coverage, Vodafone is dicey (don't think many locals in that specific area would use that), and NBN is being/has been rolled out.

Thanks babe. It will be interesting to look at black spot data again too. I think crabby posted it ages ago IIRC.

What I get from the map is that if all those towers were active at the time, Spedding couldn't have taken a phone from Laurieton to Kendall that morning without leaving a trace.

You would think that something would have pinged somewhere. To either clear or implicate.

Sat, 6.45pm: Police have said that, while it is possible William Tyrell was abducted, they are treating the investigation as a search for a lost little boy.

21 September 2014.
Every movement is noticed in the quiet dead-end street. There is little, if any, through traffic, making the probability of a random, opportunistic attack "next to nil," Superintendent Fehon said.
Neighbours said they didn't hear or see any cars or strangers on Friday. The whereabouts of relatives have been verified and there is no family conflict that could provide a motive............

Every home has been searched. The Sex Crimes Squad has verified the whereabouts of known offenders in the street or town.

RSBM

I also wonder if his service dropped out somewhere, and that is why he missed the call from grandma that morning. If his service did drop out (as opposed to him not hearing the call, or ignoring it), he wouldn't have been in the Laurieton area. imo
I'd love to know what time that morning call was made.

I've read that pings only happen when the nearest tower changes. So if Spedding was in Laurieton all morning, and didn't make or receive calls, there would be no ping to clear him. He would have stayed connected to the same tower. But if he travelled to Kendall, there would have been pings at West Haven and Lakewood if he used Optus, at Rossglen if he used Telstra, and at Middle Brother if Vodafone. At some point they would all have been closer to him than the towers to which he was connected when at Laurieton.

Neighbours not hearing cars I think is rubbish information. We know there were several neighbours coming and going. If they didn't hear one another why would they hear a stranger? Or are we supposed to assume they would have heard the difference between locals' cars and a stranger's, when they'd no reason to be listening?

bs and wife close to breakdown after being questioned by police
has an interesting comment
but not sure its ok to post?

Yes, I could understand they are Bear. Guilty or otherwise, everyone has an opinion, and some quite scathing as we see, so it would be a very challenging time, guilty or otherwise as I said. MOO

So FGP is in the Kendall cemetery next door. There is a swinging rope by the track. There is a NSWRFS bunting around a compensation pit. mmm

Thanks Makara. I remember looking at the oztowers site in relation to another recent WS case. In fact, I think you posted it.

From memory, crabby (or someone else) posted photographs of a map using black spot data using another program/website. Just interested to see if they were still the same.

What was that pit, Crabstick? I saw the picture, but what was it for?

Yes and the clarification video. That was even a little out with the crimestoppers number.
His gun barrel knockabout mate said he was there on Monday the 8 September he says he was there on Tuesday 9 September, no way he says before of after that date, until he returned 18 Sept to finish the repair.
What about the phone calls BS, the Buzz cafe, the receipt you have in your hot little hand, the school assembly and Dunbogan?
Why so determined to clarify the lead up dates but not the day in question.
Inconsistencies in alibi.
imo

O/T

My imagination:

FGM to BS: When would the part be available to you?

BS to FGM: At the latest, what date do you need the repair ready??

FGM to BS: Well, my daughter with husband and the 2 children will arrive on 12.9. before lunch time. I would like to have the machine ready then.

BS to FGM: Understand, well, I will do my very best, dear Mrs. FGM!! I will call you when I got the part and when I'm ready to come for repair, okay, dear Mrs. FGM?

BS to himself: Yesss! That's a precise indication for my appointment book, thanks. I will have to talk to AJ/PB and ........... ;) :(
