If this article was a case of the FF wanting their side of the story aired, they are at the very least sharing confidentia/ privatel information about WT and his sister, or they are being untruthful in their account of the circumstances for their own benefit. If it is from a case worker's notes, they are leaking to the detriment of WT and LT. If the accounts are from a "friend" of the FF's, who want to defend them, (which is understandable) they only have an account from their friends, so it's hearsay. This is a grubby article, by a grubby journalist/ food writer with no validity. MOO

That may be so froggy. Complaints wrt Australian MSM articles can be lodged with the media company who publish them. BS went further and lodged a complaint with the APC irt an SMH article a few years ago:

BBM, I agree frogwell. It is definitely media spinning a narrative to give the public a certain perception IMO. MSM do it all the time.

Bit late once the info. has been splashed all over msm.

Corrections or an apology for inaccurate reporting in Australian MSM are published in the same publication that carried the original article, upon receipt and consideration of a complaint by the media company concerned. If people are dissatisfied with the handling of the complaint by the media company, it can be lodged with the APC for adjudication.

If this link works, it shows the police searching around one of the derelict houses. This is not the same house that is along Batar creek Rd & near to Stoney creek road. Also, batar creek road is *****umen, whereas this road is a dirt Rd. Perhaps this is the one behind Williams street, the one within 1/2km, with access perhaps from one of the 2 dirt roads leading off of Benaroon?

Personally, I wouldn't be bothered to expend the time and energy in complaining about this reporter's poorly referenced and subjective material. She doesn't seem to have much of a reputation anyway. It's just unfortunate to think that many may consider the 'news' they read in newspapers to be factual, when it may instead be based on hearsay and opinion. It's great to have Websleuths to hash out the strengths and weaknesses of MSM reports and their reporters, and everything else, in disturbing cases such as this one.

This property is 256 Batar Creek Road. The dirt road in front is a driveway. When you look at it on google streetview the trees are green in front of the house because of the season the photo was taken. MOO

I personally think if a perp/s. had of grabbed WT in the very short space of time he wasn't seen by FM or FGM, then that person or person's would of got out of dodge real quick and not hung around the area of Kendall at all.

The option is there if a reader feels strongly enough about an MSM journalist’s inaccuracies or bias in their approach to an article which is of public interest. Whether they take it or not, is entirely their choice.

I don’t know Amy Harris’ competency or reputation as a journalist but as for references and sources they seem to be few and far between in most MSM publications — much as they are more commonly lacking in users’ posts and comments on SM — which many consider to be factual and/or an accurate representation of a human being irl.

It is wonderful to have a forum such as WS to discuss William’s case, free from victim-blaming, rumour or gossip.

Possible, except if they lived in the area and their absence would be flagged as suspicious at the time William disappeared, were on foot rather than driving a motor vehicle, if they weren’t familiar with the bush surrounding William’s foster grandmother’s home and/orbhad no place to conceal William within the local area without being disturbed or discovered by others — just to name a few.

Hey...this is a first for me so please don't laugh! :please: Jumped in my google car the other day and went for a spin---up and down Stoney Creek Road and Batar Road I went! I was surprised how isolated it is up that way--got lost a couple of times too, quite scary--there's no way I would drive in and around that area at night let alone live there. :scared: Was really interesting though as I could see the places/houses you guys were all talking about in your posts! :D

Hi UT! Great to see you here. I’ve driven and flown over that area a few times in my Google vehicles. Wait until you see it from overhead on Sixmaps.
Searching for William in the bush surrounding Kendall would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

So any clarity on which house is which from your POV? Fresh (and experienced) eyes are always welcome.

so this address? https://www.google.com.au/maps/plac...74582be5eb718!8m2!3d-31.6549623!4d152.6949955

It's weird cause this looks like another street, since it's actually off Batar Creek rd - proper. So it's a driveway? I can't actually enter this drive way via Google maps :( Is there another way?
