Wrt that "screenshot" photo, I always thought that the reasoning behind it, was to give the investigation team an example of what little Willam may look like via webcam, which can often distort someone's appearance slightly, especially poor quality ones. If the team happened to stumble across photos or a video of him online, this could be their frame of reference in identifying that it was in fact William.

IMO I don't believe that every piece of information/ photos in the task force room were strategically placed for that 60 minutes segment, based on the fact that in one of those pieces of information, the name of a family member who could not be identified for legal reasons, is visible.

Acting Superintendent Commander Tony Joice, who is heading the taskforce investigating the three-year-old’s disappearance from the north coast village, said officers need to rule out any potential leads in the “astonishing” case.
“If you were in the Kendall area, we need to know what you were doing, who you were visiting, what car you were driving, what you were doing there,” he said.
“It’s about putting the pieces together.”.............

But the complete absence of evidence — tracks, scent trails, pieces of clothing, blood or hair — has heightened fears he may have been abducted.

Commander Joice said the dog squad was brought in last week to search an area police believed could hold some clues but failed to find anything significant.

He said police did not believe William was still in the area and were now investigating the possibility he was abducted.
“Considering how exhaustive that ground search was, we were there 24-7 for over a week, the chances of him being in that vicinity are very small,” he said.
“We’re comfortable that search has been completed and are pursuing other lines of inquiry.”

However, he said William’s four-year-old sister, who was with him when he went missing, had not been able to shed any light on what happened.

My take on the photo on the whiteboard, it was the best photo available of him wearing the same outfit he was wearing when taken but without him making the roar. Therefore gives a more accurate likeness. But was not of good enough quality to release to the public.

The FM said in an interview that she had taken several photos that day as she made a "photo book" of what they had done as a family every year, & had actually taken a few photos during the time she captured the "roar" photo.

Yes, it looks like he could be talking on FaceTime or similar. Or perhaps playing a game on a computer and the computer camera was on.

Also looks as if it is printed on paper, not an actual photograph developed at a photo shop or printed on photograph paper.
If you blow the picture up, the top edge is rough and one of the bottom edges is curling under.

I wonder would William have been able to have Skype or such contact with his BioF or BGM etc ? Are children allowed this contact if a parent is incarcerated ?

Thanks for the detailed explanation Soso, my brain has been addled for so long by so many confusing situations & questions, and this just adds to it for me.

Am wondering again things like - when was it Dad went to jail, were K & B together at time of his sentencing? when was L removed, what brought that about? Was it a report to CPH ? interesting to me that 1 child would be removed, but another (baby) be left; or was he not yet born? Was there another report to CPH? I wonder who was making the calls ..

Here's a close up google map of william's FM street & it's exit points to Batar creek rd. Does everything look in the correct place (WT house, #35, cemetery)? The black arrows indicate a section that might or might not exist. A local might know? If it's too small I can email myself a larger one

I have looked at possible routes through this area. Google street view takes Cobb and Co rd.only to a certain point before it stops, at that point, take a satellite view of the point and it lines up with the back of either 35 BEnaroon Dr, or the property next to it belonging to PB. Also earlier on in the threads, I looked at the fencelines at the back of the houses opposite 48 Benaroon dr. 35 doesn't seem to have a back fence. All the properties on that side of the street share a bounday with the property behind it on 144 Batar Creek rd. I had wondered if there was a track through that property onto Batar creek road that couldn't be seen by satellite that is available to us. MOO

To travel cobb and co. from google streetview, manipulate the figure on the line drawing map of the area and then you can travel down that road.
