I think the house the neighbours searched, when they heard the noises, was 35 Benaroon Drive ... though of course I cannot be positive about that.

But no-one currently lived there (hence, them wondering about the noises .. and what were the noises? ... a child's voice? someone shouting? what?), it was up for sale, and was right across the road from grandma's house. Behind the cars that were apparently parked there on the street that morning.

It was in MSM or his presser. Just a variation on a theme. I'll find the link.

'"What we really want is to hear from those who know what happened in that yard on 12 September 2014.

“We are interested in speaking to people who suspect someone they know may have information specifically related to his disappearance.'

Thank you Bohemian. This quote is a little different from the one you posted previously, but still interesting, and I'm glad they seem to be going back to square one?

I didn't quote. When I quote, I provide a link :)

As I said, the beginning is a fine place to start (with the caveat we disregard William's foster and biological parents and the 'paedophile ring' and, yes, even BS, if only not to muddy the waters). Circling out from FF, I would suggest starting somewhere in the middle say, those who self-reported they were in Benaroon Drive at the time? Purely speculative.

ETA.

And the cars, noting AJ's white station wagon has presumably been returned.

DCI Jubelin's reply to reporter's question (after his presser 'proper').

This is from Sept 16, IMO the Savages are referring to the person that lived in 35. I don't think it was abandoned at the time.

“A lot of them have moved,” he says. “One bloke left because he felt intimidated by the police. He had a few problems. He wasn’t a crook or a bad bloke, just a bit of a loner. He wanted out.”

“A recluse,” says Sean. “I think all of the attention sort of frightened him.”

“They were coming around checking everything and he got scared,” Paul says. “Just the fear of that.” He shrugs his shoulders. “You got to let them do their job and they’re still following up on everything. They’re doing a good job.”

Your post agrees with the information I have on file.

House#35 is the tiny house, right beside Savage, that gave the impression (through realty photos) that a single male resided there. I believe this is whom Savage was referring to. There is a realty listing (or at least there was at one time), which had it "drastically reduced for an immediate sale!!!". I don't believe this home was vacant at the time WT disappeared. I found another indication online that this house was initially listed for sale on November 4, 2014. It sold in June 2015. There was a feedback given, where the home owner praised the realtor, and signed with a ... not real name (or perhaps real name in condensed/abbreviated form). I remember years ago looking into that signature, but couldn't really find anything tangible. Unfortunately his review of the realtor has now slid off of the scale of reviews, replaced with newer ones. However, it can still be found if you can make your way to find the 'cached' version of that page. There are a lot of hits if you start with typing in 35 Benaroon. Find the realtor, then search for that realtor's reviews, then select the cached version, which still shows it. I'm sorry but I cannot remember now why I knew that that review came from that person.

As far as I understood at the time, the vacant house which was referred to, was the one up in behind FGM's house, on same side. (It would be house#52 on that drawing that I posted above recently)

ETA: ok I remembered how I knew that review belonged to the homeowner at 31Benaroon... on the review there was a photo of the home. The jpg is still noted, but the link is dead now.

House on Lot #52 ... the people were on vacation. Away for a bit. It was not the abandoned house we were speaking of.

Deugirtni, my recollection is that #52 (on your map) wasn't vacant as such. The owner was away for a few days.

How do we know #52 was vacationing? (Just trying to provide reference for all of this back stuff, at least as much as possible.)

  • #251
Does anyone know how to access the voter lists or property tax lists for the period in question, for Kendall? Specifically, I'd like to search for a particular name, if possible. tia!

Trying to find the link now .... it was in MSM, or perhaps Aussie Missing Persons site. Something like that. It was referenced way back in the threads.

You may have to go back and look further yourself for the MSM link.

The next door neighbor closest to the end of the street was on holidays. Mrs Wilson was the next door neighbor on the other side of the Fgm's house. It is understood Mrs Wilson may have left Benaroon dr. around 9a.m and she had been quoted as saying her husband was not home either. MOO

The owner of 35 that sold only has a 3 letter surname. :)

Yes they were away.

You can only access our Electrol Roll from 1980 to now, at an actual office in person. We don't have the same easy access that US has, which is a shame.

Judy Wilson, whose property adjoins William’s grandmother’s backyard, believes it may be more than just coincidence that the child disappeared only after she went to run errands in town.

She said someone could have been waiting for her to leave, potentially aware that the neighbour on the other side was also away.

“If someone was watching the house, they would’ve seen me leave and would’ve known the other neighbour was away,” she said

The owner of 35 that sold only has a 3 letter surname. :)

I figured that was a shortened form of either first or last name.... did you find this 3-letter surname on a voter list or something? I know the 3 letters you speak of, I just did not think it was a real (full) name.

Yes I've seen a copy of the sale contract :)

Thank you. Couldn't 'away' also mean.. 'away in a nursing home', as opposed to 'away on vacation temporarily'? ie Mrs. W may not have wished to broadcast that the neighbour was in a home?
