When spiritual dreaming told me about it, very early in the piece, she said that it was 'straight through the forest, about 1/4km away' from memory.
I think there is also a longer back way to the property, up the cemetery road then branching off in that direction, on a fire trail or track. That is why I was super-interested in the missing car part the police were looking for along a dirt track (somewhere in this relevant part of the forest, I believe).

I don't know if it is a crime scene, but some believed that it was a possibility that William was taken first to this location. I am sure the police are onto it. It was being reported a long time ago.

I was interested in that back way too, north up the cemetery road then west to Kendall Forest border, south and then east past the house you're talking about to Batar Creek Road. Continuing along Batar Creek Road from there takes you to or past the "abandoned" house on the corner of Stoney Creek Road. The advantage would be that you wouldn't have to drive past the residential parts of Benaroon Drive. If the person didn't have a nearby base in mind, he could have stopped in the forest to assault William (but took William away with him afterwards dead or alive because of DNA).

Jennifer, yes, in this scenario I'm assuming a local person took William.

<article quote>
AS part of this Missing Persons Week, Mid North Coast police have again appealed for members of the public to come forward with information regarding the disappearance of Kylee Ann Schaffer.
Miss Schaffer was 19 when she went missing from a property near Willawarrin on September 11, 2004, after attending a party.

She was last seen by guests walking alone into dense bushland surrounding the property.

A huge land and air search involving police, emergency services and volunteers failed to find any trace of her.

Described as being of solid build, with dyed hair, brown eyes and about 165cm tall, Kylee Ann is what police refer to as a long term missing person - that is someone missing for six months or longer - usually an adult.

In the past year 140 people have gone missing from the Mid North Coast region.

All but two of those have since been located.

Thirteen people have been reported missing more than once.

A 13-year-old boy and a 14 and 15-year-old girl were reported missing three times in the 12 months since July 2007.

Girls between the ages of 10 and 19 are the demographic most likely to go missing.

Of the 140 people who have gone missing in the past year, 98 were teenagers between the ages of 10 and 19 including 63 girls and 35 boys.

Anxiety, depression, alcohol, drug use and family disunity are the main reasons why people go missing from their homes.

This year Missing Persons Week is focusing on communication between young people and their families.

Police encourage teenagers who do go missing to communicate with family, friends or the authorities and let them know they are safe.

If you know of a person who has gone missing, attend your local police station to file a missing persons report or phone the Police Assistance Line on 131 444 and the operator will arrange for an officer to come to see you.

When filing a report it will help police if you can provide a recent photograph of the missing person, a list of names, addresses and phones numbers of friends and associates, likely destinations, medical requirements, a full description of the person and bank account details.

If you have any information on Kylee Ann Schaffer or any other missing person please call the Missing Persons Unit on 1800 025 091.

I am sure it is somewhere in this long thread, but how long was FGM living in the house in that close? Did she live there for a short time?

ariel view link to the abandoned house on the crn of batar creek road & stoney creek rd if anyone is interested. Looking at the photo, the spooky house is the little one on the right as far as i know

Thanks, iailwa. Definitely not the house the local was speaking with me about. The empty house she was speaking of had a red roof (and no letterbox, as she couldn't determine an address) - just could provide me with the same type of pic that I provided in my post.

No. And was quite prominent in the community.

That report about the car part. From what I remember it was said a car may be missing a part. Did they find something that had fallen off or was it a car they were interested in that had something missing ???? And I'm not talking about the S missing from speddo's van !!

So she lived there for a long time, but WT at three years old was on his first visit? Is that normal grandma stuff?

BBM: Is that relevant?

[QUOTEHbayne;13639439]Was it his first visit ?[/QUOTE]

Yes. I think that that has been quoted as being his first visit there and why the sister would have to be shown the way to the bathroom.

Or was it the first visit after the death of her husband? Either way, not really in the foster grandmother's control.

I think there may be a lot of reading material in this case that you have not seen. We have been over this many, many times - about it potentially having not been his first visit. In fact, we went over it again just a little while ago, if you want to read back a bit.

v
I think that that is relevant to the family dynamics. A three year old grandson who had never visited his grandmothers home until the day that he disappeared?

Potentially is the operative word here.

M: Yeah we&#8217;d actually planned to go on the Friday, but we ended up the Thursday, leaving earlier, and it was a surprise for Mum and it was a surprise for the kids to go before, because they love going to Nanna&#8217;s, yeah it was a complete surprise.

. . .

M: I took the photo, I took three photos, I do photo books, of what we do as a family every year. So every time we go somewhere I have my camera and I just take pictures of what they&#8217;re doing, and I thought Mum&#8217;s getting old, be really good for William and his sister to have memories of being at Mum&#8217;s. And my Dad passed away in February that year so that was really the first time we&#8217;d been back since Dad passed away, and we were going to go visit Dad&#8217;s grave, they were drawing some pictures to put on his grave, they were sending messages to Opa and things like that. I just thought, I want to just take some pictures of that.
