When Gary Tweddle was found and they were talking about an inquest, to see if his death was an accident or foul play, I emailed the Coroners Court in NSW to inquire when we could expect an inquest.

They replied and said that when the Coroner decides an inquest will happen, it would take a year or more before it would happen. It would have to be put on the schedule, all the case material would have to be gathered, the witnesses would have to be subpeoned, etc etc. And this was for someone who had been missing for 6 weeks and then was found.

Then the inquest actually happened about 1½ years later.

I cannot even begin to imagine the amount of material, witnesses, witness statements, POIs, etc, that would need to be collated and put together for an inquest into William's disappearance.

good point..

I don't put much weight in a paedophile ring abduction, I'm still thinking unplanned and spontaneous.
Considered a neighbour but gone off that theory, a neighbour must realize he'd be high on suspect list.
My Occams Razor is still BS, I just can't eliminate him.

thanks for the info. i appreciate it. I guess what i got from this is that BS and TJ were not together at 2pm. Bs could have mentioned to TJ that children were coming. TJ and BS could have acted together. TJ or BS could have acted alone - but TJ seems the most evil. Getting TJ convicted quickly and off the streets could be a clue as to where the investigation may have headed --besides looking closely at BS?

I don't know that I would classify Jones as seeming more evil than Spedding. These sickos are all extremely evil and perverted imo.

Let's not forget or minimise the horrific crimes ..... (warning: please don't read this post any further if you don't want to read horrific content)

ACCUSED child rapist Bill Spedding repeatedly raped a three-year-old girl in a caravan in Campbelltown and farmed children out to fellow paedophiles, police allege.
.... the 63-year-old repairman and dole recipient is also accused of raping a six-year-old girl and sharing a bed with his two victims.
“In the course of obtaining victim statements police were made aware of further disturbing allegations of children being involved in witnessing or performing sex acts on each other, with another male adult present, or the giving of the victim by (Spedding) to another male adult associate for sexual purposes,” the police facts read.

There are no words, iailwa. Just anger, disgust, and a desire to let these poor victims have their say and day in court, finally.

yes lets hope so... i feel so sick!

I am sorry to have you feel that way. But when people insinuate that this despicable man is some kind of angel, I think of these young children and the agony they endured.

I also completely see why Spedding is a POI in William's case. As well as the cummulative actions that raise huge suspicion, there is the potential that this man is very capable of carrying out a crime(s) against a 3-year old child and walking away claiming his innocence and appealing for sympathy.

While the poor grieving foster parents, who have never been looked at twice for any horrific crimes such as these, are subjected to some people's criticisms.

What was omitted were those children's horrific physical injuries, the emotional injuries will also remain a lifetime.

Thanks for the wake-up call SA.

It has never really occurred to me *with trying to be sensible* that either the BPs or the FPs had anything to do with it... esp since they are not considered POIs. It's either as you say, one or both of them, or a random thing?... hard to say. But yes BS & TJ are some sickos certainly capable of such

I have been looking at missing persons on the north coast & have have found plenty but i didn't come across this one till now

Deputy State Coroner Malcolm MacPherson said in his inquest finding this month there was little doubt Ms Bryant, originally from Kyogle, met with foul play.

is that sarcasm lol? i just don't know everyone's personality yet . fine if it is :D

But yes possibly? I think 3 years is earlier than the norm though. It might take anther year or more to get to inquest, & in that time it could be solved?....

No, not sarcasm at all. I don't believe there will be an inquest *until* it is demanded, as GJ has said the 'trigger point' will not be until all 'lines of enquiry' have been exhausted, and I'm quite certain that with all of the tips and POIs and lines of enquiry in this case, there will *always* be some lines of enquiry which have not yet been exhausted, and the investigation will remain an ever active one, and therefore, an inquest would never happen.... unless ordered. It may take a long time for that to happen, but would be great to start the process now. If once the time arrives, it is no longer needed, then simple enough to cancel, I would think?

There is way more to those allegations to consider iailwa, believe it or not, and I suggest you start reading from June 2015 in these threads, just prior to BS being granted bail on appeal, and the many threads there after. Many arguments have ensued. As GJ said in the article or maybe it was the other guy, the truth is stranger than fiction.

These articles may also interest you iailwa if you were previously unaware but a warning, they are not easy reading (quite horrific in some cases):

I've started where you suggest. I think i'll be reading for the next year or so!

Thanks & yes i am unaware! This is horrific :(

It really is horrific. And his lawyer's wangling to try to get him out of the charges is frustrating. But that is his job, I guess. To try to point the finger everywhere else, but at his client.

I hope the girls, and other victims, day in court is successful for them. That they get some small feeling of justice from the result. That they finally get to unburden a little by telling their story, and being heard. That they can heal a little.
