The fact that AJ said to his family that he was meeting with PB that day, doesn't mean PB was involved, although he may be. There are so many inconsistencies in their "stories" of their friendship. Apparently they went fishing together regularly & knew each other well. At that time PB was living un a a pub, did AJ met him regularly for several drinks....did he meet him that afternoon?

Do we think Jones is smart enough to get away with this for so long, if he had any guilt in William's abduction?

Jones - who has a whopping 90 convictions against his name including aggravated indecent assault of a minor ....

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ing-William-Tyrrell-met-day-went-missing.html

And if he was meeting with Bickford, surely there would be more witnesses in the pub, if that is where they met. Although, Bickford claims he was at his wife's house having lunch, with other witnesses there apparently.

'Paul Bickford was living in the pub at the time of the Tyrrell disappearance. He (Jones) knew Paul Bickford was in the pub as well as we do,' a statement from the Jones family said.

.... while Bickford said he was having lunch at his wife's home with friends in Port Macquarie.

Do we know if the Spedding's are still in Bonny Hills???

No, I don't think anybody knows where they are. Other than Spedding needs to report to police on Mon, Wed & Fri, as part of his bail conditions.
Big house for the two of them to rattle around in, if they are still in Bonny Hills.

It does mention he had to do a 60km round trip every day to Port Macquarie police station to check in, which is why they relaxed his bail conditions.

Google says that Bonny Hills to Port Macquarie is a 52km round trip - close enough to 60km , I guess, if a person wants to make it sound a little more arduous.

....successfully argued that the 60km round trip he took to report to Port Macquarie police every day was excessive, so he will now only need to check in with officers on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

I wish this was in a forum that allowed multithreads. I think that BS went to court recently for a variation of bail conditions, before the directions hearing. :gaah: I need a secretary (with accurate typing skills!) soso, are you free?

There was talk about varying his bail conditions, when he goes to court in Ballarat.

Spedding's NSW bail includes reporting and residency conditions which will need to be varied for him to attend Ballarat, the court was told.

Don't know if that is the one you mean.

Appearing at court flanked by several supporters, Mr Spedding sat quietly at the back as his lawyer applied for his bail conditions to be relaxed, hoping to change his current requirement to report to police three times a week to once a week.

The magistrate denied the appeal, given Mr Spedding was still facing “serious” charges:

Alleged child abuser’s request for bail variation rejected

William Tyrrell’s biological father has been sentenced to seven months in prison over a series of drug and theft charges.

Brendan Clifford - who also goes by the name Brendan Collins - appeared via video link in Bankstown local court yesterday where the magistrate weighed up a lengthy criminal record with the devastating impact his son’s disappearance has had on the 35-year-old.

Ultimately, jail was the only option and Clifford was sent back to his cell at Silverwater prison.

With a non-parole period set to expire on March 14, he could be out in six weeks.

Nothing we can do,” his mother Natalie Collins told A Current Affair.

“He will get better. When I cleaned his room I was horrified. It was full of s--- he had taken from the streets.

“He’s been wearing old man’s clothes.”

Clifford faced eight charges relating to the theft of three bank cards, toys and clothing.

He is the father of a boy whose tragic disappearance three years ago has been the subject of a major police investigation,” the magistrate noted during sentencing yesterday.

She also considered submissions from Clifford’s defence team that “he has suffered emotional trauma ... over the events of the last few years”.

The court was told his emotional and mental state routinely deteriorate in the back half of every year around the anniversary of William’s heartbreaking disappearance.

Wasn’t this photo taken after William disappeared?

Good point. Whatever was on the verandah in that photo could not be in Speddings van. Also, I think that white thing is the tag on the Spiderman figure. It appears to be the one the FM was holding during the interview. My son had an identical one when he was younger and it had a white tag on it.

OK, so it seems to me that there are some very valid reasons/evidence/circumstances as ito why police initially flagged BS as a POI and he hasn’t subsequently been publically ruled out of the investigation by DCI Jubelin. Would the WSer(s) for whom this is their most likely abduction scenario, create a WS blog (similar to the one I did for DCI Jubelin’s latest presser) outlining the evidence for this abduction scenario (in point form) please?

A tragic, real-life, human-interest story, ACA must be thrilled with the scoop. I’ll bet they can’t wait to see the ratings.

(Yes, I know, sarcasm and cynicism all in one post. Forgive me, this is the mass media I’m posting about. My attitude toward them, like my theories irt William’s disappearance, is subject to change without notice, based on currently available information. Ahh Saint Helen Wellings, where are you when we need you?)

I know why this piqued my interest. It’s an even longer return journey from Port to Downing Street. BS must have digs in Sydney. No doubt the child activists on SM already know where that is.

To add to this, if WSers prefer to put forward their abduction scenarios anonymously, PM them to me and I’ll do the blog admin.
