Police dont say things? they release parts of calls. They talk to suspects i believe they talked to nc and i bet kim loweke wanted to know what questions police asked nc, what information police fed nc as well.

I guess you missed the part where I said "unless it benefits the police".

They would have questioned Natalie, for sure. But tell her anything relevant about the case? I doubt it.

The information flow goes primarily one way with the police. To them, not from them. Unless they have a motivation for telling some detail.

They must keep a future court case in mind. At all times.

Why would a new judge be allocated on just the second day of a trial?

I wonder if that was always the intention, well from just recently, due to Judge Symes heavy workload. So yesterday Judge Symes spent the court time reassuring the players that all transcripts and info had gone over to Judge Sweeney. Heard any concerns, and dealt with them. Things like that.

I see the case is still JMT.

When I do a search on the other trials on today's calendar, none of the rest of them are JMT. It definitely means something in Spedding's trial.

Looks like it is primarily for Civil Court matters, but maybe it takes overflow when all the criminal courts are being used.

I don’t think NC plays a very important part in the case, can’t see what anyone would gain by befriending her. I can’t see the police telling her anything

I can't either but you have to admit it is an amazing coincidence that her new very best friend happens to know two POI's (or is it 3) in the case of her missing grandson.

There is no avoiding the media , there is only one way in & one way out.

This is where the Sydney Siege Inquest was held ( level 8 ) & everyone went in & out the same way, including legal counsel, witnesses ( even the police commissioner ), hostages & families, court staff etc. The only person I never saw enter or exit was Mr Barnes himself!!!

NC would never be told anything by police but she would relay to her 'besty' what questions she was asked about who why when etc etc.

In all honesty SA, do you think William’s misper case will go to the Coroner, the finding will be as per the NSW Supreme Court of Appeals Decision (FaCS v APS), become an Unsolved Homicide (cold case) and only go to trial post-DCI Jubelin’s retirement from NSWPOL?

you would think though, after living with a person, youd pick up little clues or moments of unease that make you wonder, and subtle clues from the children etc, hard to believe any spouse wouldnt have a small inkling at some stage?

From where we’re sitting we would, wouldn’t we? Unfortunately, the same manipulative techniques RCSO’s and alleged CSO’s use on their victims (ie, grooming, ensuring their silence, etc) they also use on the people around them (eg; their spouses, family members, work colleagues, etc,) from what I remember from the article. I’ll try to find it and repost. I’m not excusing complicity but ignorance, although some do not see that as an ‘excuse’.

I come here just about every day, hoping that our continued strong energy will help bring some resolution to this case.

I think this case may go to the Coroner, in time, and persons can be compelled to speak. But they can’t be compelled to tell the truth, unfortunately.

My biggest hope is that Spedding goes to prison for quite a few years for his alleged historical child sex crimes, and that Margaret then stops being so willingly influenced by Spedding, and shows some mercy toward the foster and bio families. Tells the truth about those seemingly unconfirmable alibis.

My other biggest hope is that little William is stumbled upon out there in the forest, and that the parents can start to get a little peace. Not the most perfect resolution. But something to help them a little.

Yes, I would personally think so. But there are people who brush away their gut feelings, or are too busy and distracted to tune into them.

There are also people who, apparently, visit a clairvoyant to reassure themselves that their husband is not involved in little William's disappearance. Likely because their gut feeling is telling them something else. Which I find very odd, if her husband was with her at the time that William went missing, and/or she was not picking up on other subtle signs of involvement.



A few months ago, Youngberry reveals, Margaret Spedding went to a clairvoyant. He says he’s heard the tape recording of the conversation. Margaret asked the clairvoyant if her husband had been involved in any way in William’s disappearance. The clairvoyant reassured her he hadn’t. “That made her feel good,” Youngberry says. “Anyway,” he advises, “you blokes should go and talk to Bill.” And so we do.

Spedding’s house is on a big bush block outside the coastal village of Bonny Hills. Spedding is polite but wary. “I treat the media with the respect of a snake,” he says. He won’t comment on the “vexatious complaints” or Margaret’s visit to the clairvoyant.
