I'm in total agreeance with every point and scenario in your post Frogwell. I mentioned last week that I thought the cars were a fabrication by LE to flush out some info on POI's

While I do tend to agree with Frogwell, as well, I also had another thought about this.

Perhaps the police are showing that they are actively looking at other POIs, and so the POI(s) are getting high MSM coverage.

We learned in another case that it is important for police to not appear zeroed in on one person and one person only, if they do not have all the evidence the prosecutor wants (at the moment).

This is because a defence lawyer can use, as part of their defence, that the police did not even look at other people "I say to the jury ... look at this. Poor innocent Bill Spedding was the only name given to the media, so he was hounded, simply hounded, when he didn't do anything. Police just needed a scapegoat."

Can someone remind who actually released the info about the car sightings initially. I don't recall it being released directly by Strike Force Rosann but thought it was actually done in conjunction with the 12 month 60 minutes interview with Foster parents. I May be totally mistaken however.

Oooops... Just found it. I'd forgotten about this update from GJ

Also, by putting other POI's out to the public they are appeasing the local community "look here's some more bad guys we found and you should look out for, we haven't caught the guy yet but we are cleaning up the joint"

I think it important to remember that BS "wouldn't go into any specifics about where he was that day or any of the timeline surrounding where he was at the exact time William disappeared.
http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/william-sp...23-12wpef.html

But his mate, son, daughter in law niece ............... did tell the media what BS had presumably told them he had done that day.

Not unlike AJ's family giving their version of events with little clarification and many questions remaining really ... who would refer to PB as a gentleman anyways? (I only hurt one child)
AJ left sober and came home pissed. Well he bought his grog somewhere or he was drinking someone else's.

PB was at the club with wife and friends having lunch - did that check out?

The difference thus far AJ's neighbour has phoned aca - not the police years later and said he was not going to use her deceased husband as an alibi. No he did not fix the hot water system that day, it was months before.
Who is BS relying on for his alibi at Dunbogan? When did he fix the fridge? and those school snaps and Laurieton pings??
The people he named - did not recall seeing him ..... ouch!!
I guess they told the police that very early in the investigation as well.
imo

Good point.

Regardless of where BS was or wasn't on the day of WT being missing, he has as far as we know been the most investigated POI in this case to date. And because of that i'm sure LE have got a very good idea of where he was according to his phone pings etc., and he would of been questioned about what he doing and if those stories checked out or not. That's what LE do, they join all the dots to see what adds up or not.

And yes the police will do everything necessary in an investigation, & also clearing people could also be a strategy used in a missing child case, it's not like they haven't done it before to see what shakes out. All IMO.

Maybe Spedding asked for the case to be dismissed due to burden of proof not being met?
The next thing he’ll probably do is sue the media. Maybe that’s why the reporters said nothing to him outside court ? Just a thought .....he seems the type to defend to the last breath not plead IMO

Perhaps. It may also be a matter of his lawyer advising him, upon the burden of proof, to accept a deal of pleading guilty to lesser charges or less charges (than the 7 he was up on).

The girls could have agreed to that, if they were not looking forward to the grilling and rekindled bad memories of a trial. I wouldn't blame them in the least for that.

Yep and that is why he is still a poi and not been cleared as obviously his actions ect don't stack up

On the ACA segment with Katrina Cherry, did she say that TJ said when he went out that morning, that he was going to go help look for WT but gave up and came home drunk? He must of left to go out in the morning pretty late. He can't have been the person who abducted WT from Benaroon Drive if someone witnessed him say that on the morning of the disappearance. Am I recalling correctly?

That would be a bit of a shame - was hoping the testimony of the girls might cause someone to have second thoughts about who they are protecting.

I don't think she actually clarified what day he said he was going to get fuel so as he could look for the little boy.
Actually she never said what time he left home sober that morning either.

Ole Mags was bubbling and chirpy today in the vid. Letting all the journos know that things were just peachy with her and Bill.

With her trying to influence one of the victims, I have never held high hopes of her believing in anything else than what Spedding wants her to believe.

i still have no idea who i think is guilty for williams disappearance and trying to keep an open mind to all scenarios, bs seems the most likely if bio and ff have been cleared, (if they have really and its not police strategy to make people feel safe and complacent?) also interesting police havent publicly taken bs or tj off the poi list, so many things on all sides dont add up for me, so many coincidences and a seemingly invisible abduction timed perfectly?
i noticed at the weekend how many cctv cameras there are on the central coast main roads and shops, hard to commit a crime nowadays when you are being watched and your mobile gives away your location
also still wondering who that man was asking for directions to benaroon drive at a local store?

http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/william-s...f-toddler-william-tyrell-20150123-12wpef.html

And then the very next line said ....

"He (Spedding) said he had to seek legal advice ... "

So he let Colin speak for him instead. Maybe then he could tell the police that Colin was confused, if Colin said something different to what Spedding told the police in his police statement(s).
