Well yes, she could have been on her way to court and had a car accident and unable to phone because unconscious. Or attempted suicide the night before and was intensely occupied having her stomach pumped. Or a range of improbable but possible things.

Yes, again we don't know?

Sentence hearings

A sentence hearing is held if a person pleads guilty to an indictable offence. Sentence hearings are heard by a judge alone, with the accused and the prosecution making submissions about the sentence. Juries do not determine sentence cases.

At a sentence hearing, the court will be presented with the facts of the case. The court may also order that a pre-sentence report be provided. Both the prosecution and defence may present other reports and evidence if they are considered appropriate, including the accused's previous criminal record and victim impact statements.

You just shot me down for mentioning sentencing , four posts later on that exact subject from yourself

Come to think of it, she was probably having a panic attack.

I wonder how many chances she gets before she's sentenced in her absence.

Have no clue what is going on with her and who really cares? She spat at a police person and got done with a few gms. of pot. Whatever will be will be. Now where's William?

I care. For the sake of her other 2 children.

I'm sure that's well taken care of IMO. It doesn't impact on anyone else's life here unless you are family. My concern is if there is a paedophile on the loose stealing other people's children, and again Where's William?

I care as well P&G. I am one poster that has questioned the choices and actions of Karlie, well the ones we are aware of anyways. But, geez I would like nothing more than to see her seek help for herself.
What a wonderful gift that would be to her children.
imo

Is 6.2 grams a lot? I'm not a metric person :/

A bit less than 1/4 oz, in old-speak.

Personally I think she was likely dobbed in by someone who may have known she was under a zero-drug guideline with FACS (if she was under such a guideline, considering alleged past behaviours. Similar to the guideline that Chloe Valentine's mother was meant to abide by, and actually made no effort to adhere to).

Me three .... I also care very much, for the sake of those two little boys.

You asked 'who cares?' about her. I care, because those 2 boys need a stable life with a good, fully functioning mother. That shouldn't be dismissed lightly. Children are precious and need nurturing.

How do you think it been 'taken care of'? And I don't have to be family to care. I care about all of the little children. Pity the family that you speak of didn't help out more with William and his sister, then we mightn't have the tragedy that is William's story.

Normal procedure would be a bench warrant issued for her arrest.

As i said i'm sure her issues are being addressed. Don't you think FACS will be on it?
Although in the caselaw doc. the Judge did state as far as he was concerned that there was no issue with the two other children in her care. But she has since been charged with the spitting and a little bit of pot possession which isn't even an arrestable offence. A fine more like it these days. You can usually carry up to about an ounce of MJ these days, and lots of the young people smoke it.

FACS have been on it, and are probably the reason she was caught with dope IMO

I think the Judge's statement in the Case Law is in the past, and the issues are being looked after elsewhere. :shame:

I believe a fine for the dope and a custodial sentence for the spitting should be the outcome.

Sounds to me like that family cared very much about WT and LT but it seems in their ways of supporting were not found to satisfy FaCs. They can save the day again if KT doesn't get her act together. They can assess the situation and give them to another family to look after. Simples. IMO

About a month ago I stopped for quite a long time and watched a kid playing sport, trying to decide if he resembled William. I eventually thought his eyes weren't dark enough, and the bone structure of the brows somewhat different, but I couldn't get close enough to really see. He didn't have William's swagger, but very infantile unconscious mannerisms. Very good at his sport though.
