Your Qustion is right there in our face and answered I don’t get what you’re saying
I'm saying that *you* said only police would know, and report it, but yet it clearly states that it was NOT police who said it, nor are they obviously the only ones who knew it, if it is even true. I do not understand your confusion, but that is as clear as I can be.

Maybe the phone log wasn't deleted at all. He may purchased have a new handset.
Anyways, the telco records would indicate who called who?
Absolutely. And for all *we* know (and MSM), Mr. CY may be chock full of misinformation. This information did not come from police.

i actually know Col. Can't say much about him personally, for obvious reasons. Maybe i will catch up with him. Haven;t seen him for years. I'd prefer to catch up TJ, who i don't know, and then pretend to know nothing! Just be pure blonde (i am). I won't tho- not that silly. Would likely end up -- not here. don't trust him at all.
Interesting. Can you see him being involved?

I keep my mouth shut most of the time, as I have learned it is fruitless to even try to suggest different possibilities for consideration on this thread. It seems that as long as the conversation is going ONE way (against BS), it is fine to go on indefinitely, but when trying to open up other perspectives, conversation is attempted to be shut down, which of course, doesn't seem fair, does it? Just saying.

Here is what the newspaper said in January after the raids:
"Police said the raid was just 'one line of inquiry' and part of 'normal police procedure'.

This comes as a friend of Mr Spedding has laid out the detailed alibi he told police when questioned about his whereabouts around 10.30am September 12, when William went missing.

A friend told Daily Mail Australia that Mr Spedding went to his Laurieton office on Bold St on the morning of September 12.

He had received a part needed to fix William's grandmother's washing machine, after attending the Kendall home three days earlier for a quote, and attempted to ring her to make an appointment.

The friend said Mr Spedding then went to go meet his wife for coffee at Buzz Cafe, 140m away from his office on the opposite side of the street.
Cafe manager Lisa, who did not wish to give her last name, said she recognised Mr Spedding and his wife but said they hadn't come into the cafe 'in a while'.
She told Daily Mail Australia that police had come into the cafe to ask if she recalled seeing Mr Spedding on September 12. 'I've seen him before but I can't remember that specific day,' she told Daily Mail Australia."

From the above writing, the news is saying that once again, CY told them BS was getting coffee at the time... so the news went over to the cafe to ask for themselves, spoke to 'Lisa', who, at that time, said she recognized BS and his wife but hadn't seen them in awhile (she is saying this in January after BS's property had been raided) , and couldn't remember that specific day. Then reportedly, Lisa told the news that police had come to ask if she recalled seeing BS on September 12th. It isn't clear when exactly police had come to ask her this, but in any event, on whichever date it was, at that time, she could not remember the date of September 12th.

While I'm sure it was not an ordinary day for anyone, that does not mean that a cafe manager would remember every person who had come into her cafe on that date, and especially since we don't know on which date police had asked her.

Thanks very much for finding that. Obviously it's different from the way I remembered.

Someone posted a link to laurieton school newsletter dated 10 sept 2014. In that it detailed stage assemblies. In another newsleter it was detailed start time was 10.30am. What is a stage assembly? Did whs attend any others beside the one on 12 sept? If not why did he attend this particular one. Nothing special detailed in newsletter for 12 sept. I read somewhere it was his grandson birthday on that day too. Cant find the link now.

Thank you. Your version isn't *that* different, it just seems to be missing a bit. But sometimes those little bits that are missing can seem to make a big difference. Not pointing at you. Peace.

I like to hear different possibilities.

Is it possible that BS decided last minute to attend this event with his wife, since he had apparently been unable to get in contact with FGM to make arrangements to fix the washer, and therefore, suddenly, he had an open slot of time?

I can’t argue this as it’s plainly there .

Do we know which time slot he attended? There was two scheduled assemblies that day.

10:30am for years 3-6
11:30am for years k - 2

That 10:30 time is interesting because all our previous discussions were on the basis that the assembly was around midday. Which would mean BS and MS were supposedly sitting a long time over their coffees.

It seems in my opinion that police did not raid BS home, office and property at Wellington based on only the detailed alibi Colin voiced to the media.
With or without the downloaded bank statement.
So what on earth would have been compelling enough to see warrants granted for those searches?

Do you have any idea how easy it is to get cell/landline records from the service provider? That someone might delete their logs is meaningless imho and in any case, would surely not impede investigation of phone calls.

'He' may not have deleted the call log!

From memory the 1st assembly at 10.30 was for the younger kids and 2nd one at 11.30 for junior age so it depends on age of whs grandchild.

The Daily Telegraph understands a plumber called to Mr Spedding’s house for a repair found a child’s shirt causing a blockage in a pipe, which further raised suspicions.

One if the media links said whs was pleased he couldnt get hold of fgm due to him not wanting to go to her place on weekend due to sport events he wanted to go to with grandkids.
