I wonder whether a "suspect" is a "POI" who has been cautioned. Apparently if someone has been interviewed without being cautioned when it would have been unreasonable not to suspect him, the record of interview is inadmissible as evidence.

thanks for the explanation, I didn't understand the language, a suspect who is also a POI, makes sense to me now.

High profile, high priority, POI, suspect. Think the media take a bit of poetic licence with how they print using all these words

Them's the rules. But there are other sites where it's open slather for anything and everything and all sorts of slander, I believe.

A Police interview is a broad term used for whenever the Police question you about a crime.
Sometimes this is informally - they may just ask questions and write the answers in a notebook, which they then may ask you to sign. More formal Police interviews are electronically recorded and conducted in a special interview room at the Police station.

Police interviews - Legal Aid NSW

Following William’s disappearance, Mr Spedding gave a 10-page statement to police, as well as a DNA swab, to assist with the investigation.
We’re for Sydney | Daily Telegraph

It is understood Mr Spedding has been previously interviewed by police on two occasions. The second time he voluntarily returned to give officers a statement.

Second interview - 10 page statement and dna. I wonder if his solicitor accompanied him to that 2nd interview?
Would that have been before or after the raids of his home and office?

Can we all agree on to put to bed that William may be in a drain or a tank or something within the house hold. Our professional police and searchers deserve a little more credit. just clogs up the thread. Does anyone here seriously believe every nook and cranny wouldn’t have been searched of the house. It’s the photo verification all over again, give our professionals that know so much more than us a little credit - Please

A photo on the NSW SES mid north coast Facebook page - SES were awarded a plaque from the NSW police force in recognition of their assistance in the latest searches - William’s surname is spelt incorrectly on the plaque

Yes the photo has been verified that WT was there that very day. But why does MSM say that dogs couldn't pick up a scent in the yard. Wasn't he running around the yard playing chasey's?? So there would've and should've been a scent in the yard.

The photo vs the scent contradicts itself
Hey CC, I don't recall the reports as indicating anything IN the yard, the comments as far as I recall, we're NOT outside Of the Boundary - I'm sure many others can correct me here if needs :)

Was re reading about the boundary scents. Came across this old article. The part about a man asking for directions at Bartar Creek stood out for me. Not sure if it’s been discussed before. Please ignore if it has

This story also reports that:

EVERY one of the 21 houses in the exclusive estate around his grandmother’s house have been searched from top to bottom twice, including roof cavities and septic tanks.
