every report involving locals says the same thing.
kendall has always been a lovely quiet safe place for families.

why isn't anyone coming forward to say yes yes that BS is a shonky kettle of fish.
not one.
being outed and named wouldn't you expect people to come out of the woodwork to put this filthy pedo behind bars???( I am talking about the locals not the ex wifes family involved in the historical charges.)
people love to dish dirt especially in small towns....
everybody knows everything.

would love to know what the locals truly think about the case.
reporters never seem to ask them what they think actually happened to William, having a natural defense about their community this would be good to know.
why is there so little information about this.

imo
Maybe they are fearful of being accused of slander K-Mac. I personally wouldn't go on national TV and share my opinion of some 'shonky kettle of fish' if i wasn't directly affected. But you would think the social media sites where anything goes would be full of rumours and accusations. You're right there seems to be a unnatural silence from locals and extended families.

i've been searching about this historical (?) "scout" site at Batar Creek, but am getting no-where. There's info about the sale but lots of paywalls. if anyone has access - can they post about it here? - TY. I think the timing for the BF's searching is 'timely', but he doesn't live in the area. I think they could be considering someone else - even if he did go out with his shovels - he doesn't live there does he? I thought they are looking at someone who lives close to kendall... I could be so wrong. He had to stay somewhere while searching? no idea!

of course nobody would want to go on 6pm news about it thats not really what I am suggesting just as you say the unnatural silence is peculiar c&l
I wonder sometimes who steers the primary focus to the media.
is this info not avail or simply not applied because it doesn't fit the narrative.
o_O
the fresh (being 2018 onward) no rehashed, info coming to the table is quite a shift.
imo

So it's the address of the Batar Boy Scouts but who would be the owner? Scouts Australia NSW?[/QUOTE

i looked up their website.... nothing. some archive stuff might be good. But still, who knows if this POI knows it was even a prior "scouts" venue? no idea

Am I the only one that remembers that a property was searched (the media were present I believe).. in the earlier days.. I'm not sure how soon after WT's disappearance, but it was say in the first year sometime.. probably first half year.. property was searched - it was announced in media, including the address.. there were pics of the property.. and LE said something like: the people who live there are not suspected of involvement at this time.
I can't find ANYTHING about that.. I thought the name of the road was something like 'gunslinger'.. but I'm obviously wrong about that.. (I am the worst EVER with names!!)
Just wondering if that place/people could have/may have resurfaced.. to make 5??

There wasn't many searches of properties done. You sure this wasn't at Dunboggan? Or at BS's house at Bonny Hills??

I saw your reply, thanks . . . it got trapped inside the quote. No of course we don't know that, but if the property or nearby had something to do with William's disappearance, it might have been used because someone was familiar with it through the scouts. People disposing of bodies like places they're familiar with or have a link to somehow.

I’m not sure what the OP was getting at with their posts. They left WS soon after posting them. I suppose if Scouts Australia divested themselves of property in Batar Creek, it would be owned by council who bought the Kendall site, or some other entity. Not sure who. It’s a bit of a mystery.

I'm mentioning this because, you know how they say how likely it is that the perp is actually one of the people looked at at the very beginning.. and I remember the wording of police in that I am quite certain they said 'at this time'. I believe it was a man, and not sure if said man had a family. Pretty sure we had pics posted on the thread too. I don't believe the name may have been mentioned, however it may have been 'sleuthed', because the address was mentioned. I was curious as to that particular address in relation to the current searching area(s).

well maybe you need to remember - it can be hard I know. Perhaps go back though what you saw?
Unfortunately the search function on WS sucks, for me anyway.. I can never find a thing by using it. I did have a look back, but basically, having to look at every page, so.. with this many threads, I just don't have time to do that.. but thought that someone else would surely also remember this.

I think I'm maybe remembering. A large property, open fields, and a dam or similar. And it was north of Benaroon Drive.

You know, maybe I'm losing it? I will accept that, if really nobody else can recall what I'm thinking about. I could potentially be mixing up cases. Don't mind me.. back to business! Apologies!! If I find it I will post!

In the 'old' WS forum.. if one could figure out how to get to the 'archived' thread pages.. that thing was amazing because all of the posts from an entire thread were all together as text, no frills, and easily searchable.. I always wondered why it was kept a secret. I did happen upon those pages at times. I wonder if there is some way to access those pages on this new forum too?

Do you think you're remembering the same one as me (#196)? I remember people talking about it and I tried to locate it just by scanning Google Maps of the local area for the street name. I couldn't find it, I had to search for the street name and it was further out than I'd expected.
