This week, National Missing Persons Week 2018, let’s take some time to think of William’s loved ones and the pain and anguish they must feel not knowing what has happened to William.

THE MISSING: Meet the people who vanished

‘In Australia, more than 38,000 people are reported missing each year.

While most people are found within a short period of time, there remain approximately 1,600 long-term missing persons.

These people who vanished leaving behind loved ones and questions are the focus of Missing Persons Week, which kicked off on Sunday.’

‘“While nearly all people reported as missing are located, most often alive and well, there are always a number of cases each year that remain unsolved,” Minister for Police Troy Grant said.

“It is hard to fathom the pain and anguish that the families and friends of those missing a loved must endure.

“The emotional stress takes a toll and can affect everything from their health and wellbeing, to work responsibilities and even their other personal relationships.

“If you have information about a missing person, please do the right thing and contact NSW Police.”’

Personally, I am sending prayers of strength and comfort to William’s loved ones during this week and always. I pray that the ‘not-knowing’ will end soon.

Also, my sincere thanks goes out to DCI Jubelin and the members of Strike Force Rosann for working so hard and with such determination to find answers for William’s loved ones, and to all police officers who work to find missing persons around Australia and overseas.

And to the ‘someone [who] knows something’ about William’s suspicious disappearance, show some compassion for his loved ones and tell police what you know.

Beautiful sentiments Bo and well said. I think your post represents how a lot of us feel right now about William and this case

Yes, William’s case is heart wrenching for everyone who cares about him and his loved ones.

Spookily slow again.

All the likely suspects that keep popping up in here don't seem so likely given the amount of scrutiny the police would of given them.

Which is a pity, because a random person with no links would be light years away by now.

It seems so, butter. They might be light years away in distance but I think Jubes and SFR are well on their way to catching up with them; not to mention the ‘someone [in Kendall who] knows something’. I think we’ll be hearing all about them sooner rather than later.

Wonder if we will hear anything from Victoria today?

If nothing in The Age or the Herald-Sun, there may be something in the local Ballarat newspaper. I wouldn’t hold my breath though, soso. It’s been very quiet on that front.

Nothing new, but only now I stumbled upon the capital letters of the word "fifth". In 2016, did the media knew more and we are in 2018 still guessing, who maybe the 5. person?

We’re for Sydney | Daily Telegraph
2016
A FIFTH person has been questioned by detectives over the disappearance of toddler William Tyrrell after police discovered her application to the Department of Housing requesting a three-bedroom home that she could share with William’s grandmother.

Yeah, they’re talking about KL; NC’s (former?) BFF. At this point in time, I wouldn’t know whether to include her in the 5 POI’s mentioned in some MSM reports recently or not.

Aaaarrrrgggghhhh! As they say in the old detective movies, ‘Everyone’s a suspect!’ in my book (with the exceptions of the FP and BP, who have been cleared).

Yes, his celebrity connections. Good one, Inspector. I wonder who would have known them as his paternal grandfather and half-uncle haven’t exactly been shouting their relationships to William from the rooftops since he disappeared. If fact, they’ve seemed to want to distance themselves and the only ‘revelations’ we’ve heard are via MSM.

RSBM

Good thinking, Bo. You would think that despite their lack of connection (in that the half-uncle would not have had much to do with William and the rest of that side of the family), the half-uncle would be using his celebrity status to create awareness of the case at the very least. Perhaps the police have said no, or their managers, or the family have refused to associate themselves with the case, but it is quite bizarre that you would not be out there in some way.

If you are associated with SFR and are reading these threads, keep up the good work! I am sure not a single person here would want your job or criticise anything you are doing. If we are on the right track in some way with our sleuthing, it would be lovely if you could give us a sign or, perhaps, give us more to go on with the next news conference. If it's not too much to ask, news of an arrest would be perfect...

If you have knowledge of and are involved in any way with the person or people who took him, I hope you are shaking in your boots if you haven't gone to police by now. Nobody wishes you well.

Wouldn't that be interesting, given we were talking about 6 degrees of separation & motives. I know KL was interviewed by police, but was NC ? Surely she would be if KL was the 5th POI?

She has complained that she was not interviewed at all.

I think so too.

Yes, news of an arrest would be the perfect sign, Freddo.

There’s no love lost between me and the ‘someone [who] knows something’ either. The only thing they can do to even appear to redeem themselves is to go to police and tell them what they know and bring an end to the torture of William’s loved ones.

And, as you said, bravo to Jubes and SFR.

did she say this pretty early on?... find it hard to believe that she hasn't been interviewed. it would be a mistake by investigators, wouldn't it?

I know she said it around the time of the recent Kendall/Batar Creek searches. Not necessarily a ‘mistake’ by investigators. There are only two reasons she wouldn’t have been interviewed, in my opinion, and I’m not a detective. Either she was being ‘watched’ or detectives were of the mind that she had nothing to value-add to their investigation. Take your pick.

Also @Freddo Frog you would’ve thought that his half-uncle’s father, being William’s paternal grandfather, would have used any pull he had with the media to help find William. Instead, he seemed almost embarrassed; dismissive of the connection. But, as you said, the police or their manager could’ve said no, or the family didn’t want them involved. In any case, it beats me.

ETA: This is not a criticism of William’s paternal grandfather or his half-uncle. God knows what I would do, given the situation. Scratch that. I know what I would do. Use any and all of my resources at least to help to get the word out. But that’s me. Maybe they did that — anonymously — IDK. If not, I don’t know the reason(s) they didn’t but they must have been (a) good one(s).

Maybe, NC would have wanted to say, who she thinks is responsible. But she was forbidden to say so, like we are restricted in saying, what we would like to say perhaps.
If I would like to email GJ, which address would I need to know?
-.-
I noticed, that NC in 2018 said with certainty, William and his family changed their plan visiting Kendall and arrived earlier; W and his sister were taken from daycare for this "surprise visit". (wording similar by her)
I'm interested to learn, did she know the fact because of the news like we all on WS too or did she know from another privately source??? Whenever I read her mention, I wondered.
