In any case, AFAIK the Bickfords were real grandparents as parents again themselves and if SB's husband was the president, then she certainly was involved too.Did the spouses split at all or did they only spatially separate because of his status/FACS?

Okay, I am just going to slow us down here a bit.

The grant that GAPA received was back in 2009. Not 2015 when Taylor Auerbach published the info.

I recall that we previously found info that the grant was given to establish a camp for the GAPA people and children. (Just not finding the link at the moment ... but I will ).


Mr Bickford was recently named the Mid-North Coast’s senior volunteer of the year in the NSW 2009 Volunteer of the Year awards.
President for two-and-a-half years of local group GAPA – Grandparents as Parents Again – his passion and commitment to helping other grandparents and families has been well acknowledged.
His vision for a respite camp for grandparents and children at Bonny Hills will come to fruition in December.
