Does anyone have a timeline that shows when the other POI's were named? Apart from Spedding?
As far as I can find, TJ was named around September 2015 (one year after WT disappeared) but PB and DN were not named until early 2016?

When I looked at the means test and other info about Legal Aid in NSW, it appears that for the first bail application Legal Aid is not means tested.

I wonder if the rest of Spedding's legal representation has been paid for by Legal Aid, with that cool $100,000 being available for his 2nd bail application.


The Means Test is not applied to the following:

Criminal

• criminal law advice and minor assistance services
• first appearance bail applications in Local Court criminal duty matters
• children in the Children's Court
• Drug Court matters

We learned about PB's 16 month suspended sentence and that he had a wife Sandra whom he had been with for 47 years. That AJ was awaiting sentence on 14 September 2015.
Also that detectives were probing GAPA, which was formed by Uniting Care Burnside and the Country Women’s Association and that the group received a $15,000 grant from the former Labor government under their ex-president’s tenure, and that PB stepped down as gapa president in 2014 for family reasons.

Police revealed in April they were examining the possibility a paedophile ring was behind William abduction.

I notice in your linked article that it calls the other grandparents group that police were investigating a "breakaway" group. Presumably because it broke away from GAPA and formed its own group.
(We later learned that this group is called Grandparent and Kinship Care Association William Tyrrell investigation turns to grandparent support groups )

So, if Bickford stepped down from the GAPA presidency in 2014, did he go on to form or 'work' within the breakaway group? Maybe the breakaway group had yet to institute working with children checks?

I also noticed in your link that Bickford was not yet called a POI. The police stated that they were unable to comment on persons of interest.
