Thanks, I am not going to argue this point all over again. We spent the best part of one evening trying to get across that the police look at your inability of having done the crime through various methods, an alibi being one.
And the courts look at your capability of having done the crime, through guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

I think most people get the gist of exactly what we have been trying to say.
Yes we do, SA, in fact we 'got' it a long time ago, last night, in fact! Time it went to bed. You've been trying to put it to bed for way too long now. I admire your persistence and patience.

That is exactly right and we need to keep in mind a simple question, and that is 'on what premise did police initially look at Spedding?' Was it because someone made contact immediately after William's disappearance? What was the timing of that contact?

When was the first instance of Spedding's name being put out into the public arena by media? His name has never been put out there directly by police, so which media organization was the first, and did someone with vexatious intent make contact with that media organization?

Is that someone with (alleged) vexatious intent connected with Spedding's past perhaps around 1987 in Campbelltown and Ballarat region?
BBM
And how did they know he had been to the house? It implies someone close that knew he went to the house where William disappeared from and then tipped off LE and MSM about his history. There are obviously a couple of people who have a gripe with him and/or MS but I am not sure how those people joined the dots.

Or maybe just his history, too. Afterall police would've known about the known and suspected CSA perpertrators in the area. And police would have asked who had been to the house recently, who FG told about the impending visit, etc.

Jounalists covering the case would follow LE's every move. Wouldn't have taken them long to follow them to BS. IMO

I do wonder if call logs can be deleted by a phone hacker and not leave a trace?

In fact I believe the foster mother had attempted to make contact with Spedding on the day of William's disappearance to tell him the day was not convenient. She has mentioned this in one of her television interviews. She said he had phoned and left a message and she called back later in the day.

We don't know that Spedding personally deleted call logs. I know some phones can be set to auto delete after a period of time. We don't know when police 1st checked his call log system. The raid on his Laurieton business premises and the residence in Bonny Hills was not done until January 2015 4 months after William's disappearance. Lots of people manually clear logs, including me.

Another point, is who else had access to Spedding's telephone/s?

Didn’t BS call her later in the day and Fm said not to come ?
William Tyrrell investigation turns to grandparent support groups

Called from Dunbogan maybe?

A friend of Mr Spedding said that Mr Spedding had a missed call from William’s grandmother on Friday morning but could not get through when he tried to call back.

He said that Mr Spedding then met his wife Margaret for a coffee before they went to a presentation at the primary school of one of their grandchildren. He said that Mr Spedding went to do a job at nearby Dunbogan that afternoon and called William’s grandmother’s home.

He said Mr Spedding spoke to William’s mother who advised him not to worry about the repair job.

Repairman’s home searched in hunt for missing William Tyrell

It was Williams fm that left the message that morning for Bill, asking if the part had arrived. Not the grandmother, evidently. I guess that is how Bill was able to tell the friend he spoke to William's mother because it was her that left the message that morning for Bill.
The one he seems to have deleted from his log.

"Hey I think I have been to that house." Another relo claims he said a few hours later whilst watching the news.

Yeah soso, bit of a suss thing to say when he was originally supposed to be there that day. Why not, 'Oh my God, That's where I was supposed to be today!'

Why hide behind 'think'? Ulterior reasons, perhaps. IMO. Certainly dodgy.

The fact that BS was, shall we say "scheduled" to return on the Friday (that FF were to arrive) to fix the washing machine IS THE REASON he is a POI--well that's what I think anyway. MOO

A female relative of BS called police and made a statement and "within an hour, detectives were at Spedding's home".
Also mentioned, that FGM told BS, she was due to have family from Sydney staying (re washing machine repair).
-.-.-.-
Btw: I remember reading, that the spare part for the washing machine should have been delivered to BS on Thursday. Did Collin tell about?

Why would a hacker delete calls? on someone else's phone?

Especially, when the part required to fix the washer at that very house had arrived on Thursday 11 September according to your mate.

Colin said Mr Spedding had visited William's grandmother's house on Monday, September 8, but needed to order a part, which arrived on Thursday September 11.

BBM, wonder who relayed that information? Maybe FGM to police?
I'm sure the FF would of all been questioned by them considering they reported WT to be missing from their care.

I am sure they were.
I am also sure that many of BS's and other poi's relatives and friends were questioned.
It seems that in BS's case that his relo's and friends are as confused as we are.

Mr Spedding said his father had told him that he was supposed to repair a washing machine at the Kendall house where William disappeared from on September 12.
William Tyrrell's abductor remains free as police focus on Bill Spedding, says son

On the morning William disappeared, Mr Spedding was supposed to be at the house to carry out repairs, but he was unable to contact William’s grandmother by phone, Mr Youngberry says.

Instead, at that “crucial time” when William went missing, the Speddings were sitting at the Buzz Cafe in Laurieton, 10km from Kendall, according to Mr Youngberry.

“They have got proof that they were at the cafe because he paid for the coffees by card,” he said.

Man ‘at cafe’ when William disappeared

Mr Spedding, 63, told of a conversation he had with William’s grandmother at her home when he inspected the machine.
Mr Spedding has claimed to relatives and police he was never due to visit Kendall on the day three-year-old William vanished, September 12, 2014, and was simply calling to say the part needed to repair the washing machine had arrived.

Of course they would of. Any / all of us would of if anyone went missing from our house. That would of just been normal police procedure.

Seems to be a couple of contradictions there, eh soso?

Remember the old saying - 'If you're going to tell lies you have to have a good memory'. Same could apply to twisting the truth, IMO.

That wasn't the point of my post. I meant who relayed information that the family were going to be visiting at the time to Spedding? If FGM told BS that, it is not a fact IMO she would of mentioned the children. I think it would also depend on how well she knew BS in that community? IMO i doubt she would of mentioned foster children also, just that family were going to visit.

ONLY days before William Tyrrell was abducted, his grandmother told repairman Bill Spedding she was expecting a stay-over visit from her family.
New twist in missing William case

Might not be a fact that children were visiting, but IMO family usually means children are in a family.

ETA - If Gma had pic's of children around the house that would confirm to BS that children were visiting.

BBM, not necessarily. Family can mean anyone IMO.
And where was her washing machine situated? When i have had a repair done previously, the repair person doesn't get to see my family photos in the laundry room.

I suppose it depends on how friendly you are, she could have invited him in for a cuppa

Yes that's what i said earlier, we don't know how well acquainted they were? And what you say could be possible.
