I wonder is it the same recording...a phone call, one person at Parramatta and the other at Kendall?

I believe that I read that it is four separate incidents. Can't find the exact link at the moment, but here is a similar one.

"Those inquiries disclosed a number of recordings allegedly made at locations in Parramatta and Kendall in New South Wales."
https://www.smh.com.au/national/nsw...leged-illegal-recordings-20190621-p51zws.html

And this article says that the recordings were 'phone recordings and face to face recordings'. The best I can do is offer you a screen shot of the Google preview, as it is subscriber only.

Funny you say that, tbl, the headline in the Daily Telegraph’s op-ed piece on the weekend was ‘Cops are chasing the wrong guy’.

View attachment 190286

Makes you wonder about the timing of the charges and how much they are detracting from William’s case.
Glad to have read that article in full, thanks for posting. The writer is really trying to pull a bunch of disparate points together and none of it makes sense to me except to say that there is a lot of political infighting in the NSW police force. Well duh! It was going on well before Scipione's retirement.

Would the coroner be able to use her discretion in regards to the recording ? Genuine question. Is there ever an exception to the rule ?
Well if there's not, there should be, IMO. Justice for this little boy is more important than anything.

And it may well NOT have been the case. There are many reasons for Junior officers, who respect and admire their Commanding Officer, to report when they would rather not. Pressure from above is one. Think about it.
Is there something to link to to make me consider that? The only thing I can think of that I could link to and I did link to in a previous post was Mark Leveson's guesses about why this might be happening to GJ, wondering if there might be an old conflict between GJ and his old homicide boss who is now head of anti terrorism section and who the internal standards investigation reports back to on GJ's matter. But that observation was shot down by a member posting and others agreeing that not everything is a conspiracy.

Yes of course the Coroner can use her discretion in anything in the Police brief. This is not a trial, it's an Inquest.

The difference being that the Coroner reads and even looks into anything in the Police brief, hence the call for video of the search. She's looking into all of it, although she will pick what she wants to hear under oath at the Inquest, we won't hear all of it just what she thinks she needs to be able to make a decision. IMO.

It would seem the NSW Ombudsman oversees the Surveillance Devices Act. If you Google...

Report under Section 49(1) of the
Surveillance Devices Act 2007
for the period ending 31 December 2016
March 2017

You will find some very interesting reports!

I've only done a quick search, it's not exactly the same but is one example:

Intensive investigations are underway into the actions of officers at the Monaro Local Command at Queanbeyan in NSW's south, after former police officer Lucie Litchfield claimed she was pressured to lie in court and ultimately forced to resign her position due to relentless bullying.

'Mates protecting mates': Claims of police aggression and cover-ups

IMO the Force is similar to other professions, it happens.

ETA - I don't think it has anything to do with his old homicide boss, exactly the opposite. I think the 'New Breed" so to speak, are trying to take over in a big way IYKWIM - IMO

I have a feeling the recordings are going to be conversations that were had 'just to clear up a few questions'.
Perhaps there are conflicting statements received from witnesses about what a key person of interest did on the day that William went missing. So Jubes contacted and/or visited that key person of interest.

It's difficult to tell from that short snippet, but do you think it means that the recording was done "Four months after" Jubes was sidelined?

I hate the DT  :p

A well known and documented alleged POI was living in Sydney for a time. Perhaps the recording occurred at this time.
Do you have a link for this, please pt? I need to refresh my poor old memory. TIA.

Ok, so after reading the article, you are saying, those who want to "clean up" police culture are pushing back in a unified way and may well be doing so on Strikeforce Rosann?

No, I'm saying that what happened to this poor officer (pressure, intimidation etc) could have happened to those 10 police staff (as reported by 1 MSM agency), by the powers above.
