It is SA and I’m not getting involved.

William is too important for this thread to be closed.

A trail of poop (paper) should be stepped over
Ahhh I get it

Just to highlight how important I think Savage's testimony is, he did three days on the inquest stand. John Chardon did three days on the trial stand last week for the murder/manslaughter of his wife, Novy.

CHARDON VERDICT

During the inquest into the toddler's disappearance, Gary Jubelin sat quietly in court as Paul Savage's lawyer Chris McGorey criticised the former detective over an interview with his client in August 2017.
"Let's have faith in the coronial process and hopefully some answers will come, and at some stage I'll get a chance to explain my actions," he (Jubes) said.
Detective in William Tyrrell case made 'troubling' assertions to neighbour, inquest hears

Is the postie now a POI or suspect too? Haven't heard that one before.

Do you have any more evidence to support this theory that we haven’t heard or seen??? Or inside info??

AFAIK .... we only have heard of the possible Postie on Benaroon Drive and Laurel Street??
Did they ask Mr Chapman if his plants were eventually delivered that day and what time???

And the Postie submitting the times for rounds that day to the coroner at first inquest ....

Totally NOT discounting your theory... just wondering if you have more information to support the theory as would love to hear more on this .....

I don't think TGY was meaning the postie is a POI or suspect more we are sleuthing the postie to try and tell what type car they were driving at the time in order to try and compare to say any current or past POI such as BS, TJ, FA etc to see if the postie car and a possible POI are the same models so it may not be the postie but the actual POI in street and not the postie that was heard. I may be wrong but that is what I am looking at.

The postie isn’t a suspect but a possible witness to something, anything.
It’s the time the postie was doing the rounds that is of interest, he/she might have seen where William was, a car, a child crying, something.

The postie or the local newspaper being delivered can be a highlight to retirees.

When I was a noisy small parcel postie with fast tight turns on gravel with no regard of wearing out tyres, beeping the horn to alert people I was outside and knew everyone by first name.
Because it’s a friendly job people would look and there was always friendly waves all round.
I have no inside information just a your fellow sleuther.

I saw your post before you deleted, hope you don't mind me mentioning that yes ... I think we are trying to establish what kind of vehicle postie has/had, to see if it matches up with any (other person's ) vehicle that might have been sighted in the area that morning.

My above post is just looking at it from another kind of angle. All angles being brainstormed. :)

Thanks SA. Your post explained it very well. I wrote my message as soon as I woke up, reread it after I posted and realised it didn’t explain things very well at all so I deleted. I was hoping someone else would come in and explain it better :)

Could this be the post van outside the Kendall Post office?

Is that the AustPost sign on the back?

Just wanted to go back to this. Looks like an AusPost logo IMO. Good spotting, TGY! Does anyone have any idea what make/model this car is and what engine it might have?

That's exactly why I asked the question... trying to work out what cars were reportedly seen and heard and whether there are any relevant links.

Could it be periodic stopping and starting that made a vehicle sound like a postie?

A fast hard turn in the gravel, Breaking or a door slamming, sliding

So, if the vehicle that 'sounded like postie' did a u-turn before it 'took off'.
How fast did it 'take off'? Does a vehicle take off slowly, or does it drive away at normal speed?

And where would this u-turn have happened? In front of Savage's house where the road is wide enough to u-turn in one move without doing a 3-point turn? At the corner of Ellendale and Benaroon Drive, another wider part of the road? Is Benaroon Drive wide enough to u-turn in a straight part of the road if the vehicle is a larger vehicle or a clunkier one?

I would be interested to know the times the postie submitted. Not because I think they are a suspect but because it seems to me that the postal run occurred in Kendall around the same time as WT went missing and that RC witnessed other vehicles driving erratically in nearby Laurel St. There's a chance that they saw something.

I’m thinking it’s an old Mitsubishi Pajero ute with a cabbie on the back.

I’d keep my run sheets for weeks to prove I had/didn’t have the item onboard for proof in case an item went missing. If that happened it would’ve been important to show where THE LAST delivery was made in Beneroon....& that’s where the postie would’ve done the last u-turn. The scanner would show the deliveries/signatures/non deliveries as well.
The postie might not have been in Beneroon that morning but the route to and from might have been significant.
IMO.

Although some posties work fast and hard they would not drive so erratically like the vehicle Chapman witnessed.

Just throwing this out here. What if the postie had someone fill in for her/him that morning.
Would they be in trouble with Aus Post for doing that?
I still think maybe PS saw something, rather than him being guilty of something.
Maybe he was reluctant to be dragged into it, hence Jubelins phone calls.

IIRC I was authorised and had to pass safety checks and & if I had some huge articles (I had a van) and a massive run sometimes the contractor would get in some help.
PS certainly might have seen something, neighborhood busybodies can be an asset at times.

Mail delivery in NSW is usually a postie on a small motorbike. AusPost have their own vans for AusPost parcel delivery.
I guess if any of you are local or near Kendall why don't you call the Kendall PO and ask how mail is delivered there and then you will know for sure. Just a suggestion.
