The court is now being played a conversation had in person between Jubelin and Savage at his home in Kendall, recorded on Jubelin’s mobile phone.

Jubelin tells Savage “from the time William disappeared, we don’t know where you were for two hours”. Savage tells him he was searching for William.

Didn't he say he had to go and pick someone up from the hospital or something like that, or wait for a phone call?

The underwear in the top photo is mostly white. I wonder if that is what they meant about the white and not on the Spiderman suit or a singlet/tshirt?

Yes he spoke to his actual brother on the phone - Brother was in Casino hospital....
It was his Brother-in-law that came to visit that day …. as per the inquest from what I remember....
definitely a discrepancy there somewhere too......

@drsleuth did you get see any of Williams clothes at the inquest? The ones purchased by Police??
I thought the underwear looked grey in colour but it might be because of a different computer screen ???

I too, have often wondered if William was accidentally run over????
But no one has stated that they heard anything like that?? No "thud" or brakes screeching or scream ….. and I don't know how a driver could hide their emotions...…. never mind a body and get away with it....

Then how could he have been out searching for two hours? How long after William went missing before a search party was conducted? If William's FGM disliked PS so much I can't see them running over before police arrived to ask him to go looking. Was the two hours before the official search party, after it started, before he went to collect his brother, after he received the phone call? Too many questions and discrepancies.

PS initially, from about 11:00, went searching by himself, and then from early afternoon joined in the line-searches etc. There's a considerable period where nobody saw him, and discrepancies in his account of what he was doing and for how long.

AMS alerted PS to William being missing, knocking on his door about 10:50 or 11:00.

He didn't collect his brother. Apparently he even forgot to let his brother know about the change of plans.

Mr Jubelin said Mr Savage was unaccounted for for two hours, which could have given him time to hide a body, and while others had been eliminated as persons of interest during the investigation "we can't eliminate you".

Mr Jubelin said Mr Savage's account of that morning, that he was searching bushland for 30 minutes on his own then returned home to have a cup of tea, is a lie.

"Why would I lie?" Mr Savage asked.

"You're covering up for Heather because there was an accident," Mr Jubelin said. "Heather might have run over William."

Mr Savage said if his wife had run over the three-year-old she would have "screamed the roof down".

"What if it wasn't Heather, what if it was you?" Mr Jubelin asked.

"There's no way in the world either one of us would hurt a child," Mr Savage said.
