The court hears Det Sgt Beacroft and Jubelin ended up disagreeing on Savage’s involvement. Beacroft tells the court “there was nothing concrete that could put Savage in or out, which is why it was so difficult”. She concedes there is still “nothing that has excluded” him.

I thought she said PS was no longer an active suspect.

She did.... I think they have moved on to someone else …. I really don't think they would be allowed to let this info be public if they planned on trying to prosecute Savage... JMO

I suspect that PS is not believed to be the main offender, but that he witnessed what happened to William. Perhaps there is some strategy in releasing these recordings to let the actual perpetrator know that PS is under pressure to reveal what he knows? If PS has been threatened, perhaps the threat may be reinforced in some way, with surveillance in place to capture these threats? IMO

Yes I think she was on Rossan for 2 years …. and has now left … but I think she would know, as she has been involved a lot in the inquest... IMO

He's still a POI if he hasn't been excluded. IMO

So weird that so many things were going on in the street right at the time W was said to have disappeared:
-Lydene Hyslop arrived home and was unloading her groceries from her car to her house
-Lawnmower man was mowing his lawn on a ride-on lawn tractor at some point before when the neighborhood ladies started looking for W
-HS left for bingo reportedly at 10:38
-FD arrived home reportedly at 10:35 with FM reporting it had been just before that when she had seen W and sent him to look for daddy's car
-I can't remember what time it was that Chapman said he saw the vehicles racing on his street?
-it seems Jubelin has said the mail person was due to arrive around the same time, at least that is the impression I got from what has been written over the past couple of days - didn't he say to Savage that he was out there at that time because he was waiting for the AVO person to deliver mail?

You’re spot on... for a generally every day quiet cul de sac the timeframe in which the police speculate William went missing also seems to be on that day the busiest time as far as residents coming and going to and from their homes on Benaroon Drive.. and yet not one and I must repeat not one of those people saw or heard a thing.. I live in a fairly busy but smallish court and I hear absolutely everything that comes up and down my street and quite often stick my head out the window to sticky nose.. there were plenty of people up and about inside and outside their homes that morning around about that time surely someone saw or heard something..

Yes Stormy ….. I have often thought the same.... regarding him witnessing something.... Surely to goodness someone must have seen something that morning!! William cant have vanished in a split second into thin air! Are people too afraid to come forward perhaps???

Another things that has consistently been mentioned by locals throughout this case is the postie.. savage Chapman Crabbe all mention hearing a car that resembled the sound of the postie which to them made more sense as that was the usual the time mail was delivered.. Mmmmmm

They court heard the transcription of the listening devices in Savage’s house and car “was routinely many hours and days behind” and “if something relevant was uttered investigators may not have known about it for weeks”.

Court hears Mr Savage changed his story regarding when he first saw the planted Spiderman suit. Initially he insisted he saw nothing the first day he was recorded. In a phone tap on October 6, 2017, he admitted he saw it the first day but thought it was a white cloth.

And just to add to my last comment I must say that I always know when the mail man is in my court because the sound of his vehicle strange as it may seem, has a distinctive sound that differs from that of any other car

I don't know about anyone else ... but I think Savage has real anger issues.
