I can see how it might have been seen as light - esp the faded bits - but I can't see a t-shirt here...
Did you enlarge the pic?? I see the T-Shirt as on the left side at the front of pic … and the suit on the R side back of photo in a crumpled mess.... and that does look like a lorikeet.... ;-) I do find photos difficult for perception though....

#Jubelin's barrister Margaret Cunneen SC asks if Homicide Commander Scott Cook said of the #WilliamTyrrell investigation "it's a waste of time, you'll never get anyone for this." Det Sgt Beacroft replies "that's possibly something that was said."

Detective Sergeant Laura Beacroft, who was a member of the strike force investigating William's disappearance for more than two years, said she suggested in March 2017 that the investigation should make further inquiries into Mr Savage.

Was she involved in the forensic search in mid 2018?

Tyrrell search zone uncovers new information

I think she was , I'll check my notes when I get a moment ;)

The court heard Savage was also overheard talking to his late wife Heather, who was dead at the time, inside his house while he was alone saying “don’t tell anyone love...they’re right after me.. sorry”.

Cunneen asks Beacroft if Homicide Commander Scott Cook ever said to her that “it’s a waste of time, you’ll never get anyone for this” in regards to the Tyrrell investigation. She responded “that’s possibly something that was said”.

RBBM -1) that sounds like pure grief to me, but also an element of remorse, and perhaps, fear. I'm not a psychologist so it's IMO.

2) that is a rather defeatist way of looking at things :(

The court heard he was also overheard saying “I’m gonna run into your property too in Gordon. This is my place.” The court heard Gordon is the suburb where William’s foster grandmother would get off the train when she came to Sydney to visit her foster grandchildren.
Omg.. overheard saying to whom or was he talking to himself?t
If this was recorded shortly after Jubelin paid him a visit I could see him muttering to himself out of anger and frustration. I think it is something I would do if I were in the same situation. If he is referring to Jubelin the comment about "you're just a little boy, you're nobody' gives me the impression he is rattled and trying to save face.
thats the impression I get too

its interesting they keep talking about placing the Spiderman Suit in the bush but no mention of the T-Shirt as well??
Does it look like a T-Shirt as well to you in this pic???

To me ... it doesn't look like the same T-Shirt either (as the one shown on the police evidence board) ?? But from a distance of 8 - 15 meters away, that part on right of the T-Shirt could possibly look White???? If the sun caught it???
Seeing that in the bush would really mess with your head if you were involved in William's disappearance.

Is the logic that if you're not involved, you report it straight away thinking you've stumbled on something vitally important (Or weird) and if you did have something to do with it wonder who put it there and who knows you would see it and delay the reporting?

Didn't Scott Cook say something quite negative to the FF as well. Something like your case is not the only case??? Think it was in one of the podcasts

yeah I did & just had a second look - I see what you mean about a possible t-shirt bottom left - but to me it just looks like one suit - it's hard to see without a scale but I think that plant is a small plant & looks extra big here... ?

Not related to this thread exactly, but I have noticed that I have my one and only follower on WS as of today. Interestingly it is a member who, according to their profile, joined in 2018 but has no profile picture, no posts of their own at all from what I can see. Has anyone else gained any followers with the name of a popular Australian busy-body old tv character? If you are my follower and you have something to add to the thread, please join us. If you are someone with inside knowledge of the case please have yourself verified and help us out.

Cook & Jubes are polar opposites , Jubes is absolutely all for victims & families, so glad Gary has been able to have open court & tell the public his reasons / views .

That’s big... why else other than the obvious would he be saying such a thing.. and to his wife who had already passed on.. which kinda confirms heather knew something or was a part of something and it seems like we are getting more information about ps from Gary’s court case as apposed to the actual inquest..

There was mention that a psychologist was consulted about the placement of the suit; I would love to know what their thoughts on that were and what it was meant to achieve, and did it receive the desired outcome?

So it appears that the then head of the Homicide Squad, Scott Cook, was no where near as determined and dogged as one of his most senior investigators. What a great shame.

The commander of the NSW Homicide Squad, Detective Superintendent Scott Cook, is one of the rising stars in the state police force, with a long history of getting results.

In just 10 months as head of the squad, he has restructured the way his investigators work, imposing a six-month cut-off to solve cases before deciding whether they should be sent to the coroner.

It is all part of Superintendent Cook’s push to free up homicide detectives to focus on investigations and cut through the 600 unsolved cases on their books — most of them cold cases like the Lyn Dawson disappearance.

By fast-tracking investigations to the coroner’s court, detectives can tap into the court’s powers, such as compelling witnesses to give evidence, while providing victims’ families with answers sooner.

Let’s say for example that was someone else anyone else but savage who just so happen to stumble across the Spider-Man suit, in the scrub, not far from where William was last seen, I think the overall reaction to such a find would be that of OMG it’s him.. it’s William.. you would be out of there and on your phone to the police in a split second.. you wouldn’t be standing there scratching your head and looking at it for a while.. I know I certainly wouldn’t be as that would scare the pants off me

Agreed.. especially if you were someone who had invested so much earlier energy in searching for William.. IMO

Savage walked the track every day. IMO the planted spiderman suit gives the appearance it has been there for longer than a day. If Savage saw it and thought to himself 'hmm that wasn't there yesterday' it may have raised his suspicions and caused him to take a day to think about how he should respond.
