I firmly believe that happened.
The foster parents were concerned that nothing had been investigated since Jubes was put on the back-burner.
Freakin' disgusting.

The comment is disgusting for sure. Just hope they are doing something...!

Beyond disgusting. How horrid for the families to hear that spoken about their child. Shameful

I actually wrote 'could' in my initial message.

But hey the male carer/dad says William wouldn't go uphill due to his asthma condition, but then the male carer/dad goes uphill to search the Millers. This case is full of contradictions isn't it.

We have not heard a thing from Detective Lailow.

Was it GJ that pushed for the inquest?

Can I just push back at the idea that seems to be drifting around that if a person has a mental illness there's no knowing what he'll do and he's capable of anything. Many people have mental illnesses which they manage responsibly and are absolutely not a risk to others.

I don't think we will hear anymore about the investigation except via official statements.... There has been a lot of "fallout" with this case for the NSW Police...
I believe at least while the Coroners is ongoing they are working behind the scenes …. I hope so anyway....

NO I don't think so … initially he was against it...… but came around to the idea.... from what I remember...

Cops are a cut above and that's why they have body cameras to protect them against all who walk.
I completely agree with you. The cop body cams protect everyone, both themselves and the other person/people they're recording. Goes both ways and I'm happy to see them wearing them as well.

The thing is, IF Jubelin had illegally recorded a person who ended up admitting during said recording, to killing W or taking him or some horrible thing, the fact GJ recorded him outside the boundaries of the law could easily completely screw up the criminal case against said person, and thereby risk the entire case, allowing that person to go free.

An experienced defence lawyer would fight tooth and nail to have that removed from evidence and if that was the only time the person admitted it and there was not much else to hang him on, we likely wouldn't even be allowed to hear about it, let alone ever see a conviction. And GJ is certainly experienced enough to know very well how things work. Again, the laws and requirement to obtain warrants when police want to bug and record people are there to protect both sides, not just the suspect from having his privacy invaded. All GJ needed to do was to renew his warrant and include his cellphone as one of the included devices, stating the reason of bad reception otherwise. Seems simple enough.

It almost seems like PS is on trial here without his presence or ability to defend himself, rather than getting to the main point that a very experienced cop put the entire case at risk. imo.

Sorry to quote myself.

The Herald understands that Chief Inspector Laidlaw plans to accompany the 26 homicide investigators examining William's disappearance in a visit to Kendall before the inquest resumes in August.

He took over the case in February when high-profile homicide inspector Detective Chief Inspector Gary Jubelin was sensationally sidelined, following allegations of bullying and misconduct.

The missing four are?

I Know. I don't get why they would drive to a pool, considering the 3 yr old had no transportation. Don't toddlers usually end up in pools next door or across the street as opposed to a car ride away?

It was ONE street away, I would hate for us to have our every bloody move examined & scrutinised over & over in a very unexpected situation.

Not having a go at you Katy, I'm just over people in general questioning the response to that horrible morning , I'm sure everything the neighbours did was in the best interests of poor William.

This case is just heartbreaking & to hear the attitude of Cook today ( which I'm not surprised ) & to think that the best cop is no longer looking for William is so sad for the families & those who loved & love William.

Jubes said to me one day ( we had many conversations which will remain private ;) ) .............." these people don't care about William" ..............how bloody true :(

Yes of course. However if GJ suspected PS might have a mental illness and if he did, not knowing the extent of it, I think it is fair to assume that GJ could not know how PS could react and therefore had to ensure he covered all bases.
I do agree with you, however people do have mental illnesses and do not address or treat them.
Again, I am not saying PS has a mental illness, I was just looking at it from GJ's perspective being suspicious that PS may have a mental illness.
IMOO

Absolutely.. thank you for highlighting this.

Thanks Sleep. Yes it was not the Magistrate, hence why I said we don't know if PS has a mental illness for sure.
Then perhaps it should never have been mentioned by anyone in the first place unless it was a verified fact, IMO. Otherwise it's just more smoke & mirrors in this case. Like there isn't already enough as it stands.

I'd still like to know more about Paul's son. Is it true he lived with his parents at the time Wm went missing? Early rumours said so....

And he seems to be the person that was throwing shade at the neighbour who moved away.
Is the son a POI?
