The court heard Savage got into his car immediately after the lengthy police interview with Jubelin and was captured on listening devices saying “make sure you don’t tell anyone love, they’re right after me”.

Suspicious to me , directly after interview

Wonder why he would say that? Did he know something the rest of us don't?
maybe he thought because he was a foster child he wasnt as important to spend any more time on? whatever his reason its a totally heartbreaking thing for his loved ones to hear!

Former homicide detective Gary Jubelin has told a Sydney court that he was advised by a new commander of homicide in NSW to drop the investigation into the disappearance of #WilliamTyrrell because “nobody cares about that kid.”

edit - still practising

That's one conversation Jubes should have taped.
I hope that new commander is pooping his pants wondering 'what if he did tape that?'

No, but the father seems to be the prime one. And I wondered if the father might be covering for someone.

there was a newly joined family member on here earlier this week, amazing the number of people who read this page

We
Then perhaps it should never have been mentioned by anyone in the first place unless it was a verified fact, IMO. Otherwise it's just more smoke & mirrors in this case. Like there isn't already enough as it stands.
We spoke about because it was mentioned in the hearing. I don't think anyone referred to it as fact.

  • #488
Yep, that's the bottom line and at what great cost, William's search has come to grinding halt, we haven't got cops to spare. :(

Yep... this is getting embarrassing....

sounds like a lot of playground stuff...

I thought the prosecution did? Maybe i misunderstood?

I thought it was recently stated that PS was no longer a POI? Beacroft didn't think he had anything to do with WT.

Sorry, but you are nitpicking. I meant no-one here referred to it as fact. We discussed it which is a feature of this forum, for us to discuss the case. Yes the prosecution stated it but we are discussing what was stated. We do not know if it is fact.

Yes, back to facts, PS stalked and harassed women and had to be told to stop by 2 that we know of, one applied for an AVO.

The recording might be inadmissible in court but if the suspect led police to where the child is, alive or dead, the mission is accomplished. We have to remember that was GJ first thought and priority. GJ wasn't using the recordings for some perverted and ghoulish reasons, he acted, he thought, under operational standards, we'll see if the court agrees.

Re PS: GJ found PS to be untruthful and irritable, he decided the conversations needed to be recorded for reasons he stated. PS is not on trial but I'll challenge anyone who minimises stalking and harassment with a long laundry list of excuses. IIRC, I read earlier posts from yourself implying the postie was exaggerating or lying. She had a job to do and PS won't take no for an answer.
BBM, But that is still no excuse to break the law if that's what he did and what his charges are. He could of obtained an emergency warrant first but didn't.
(quote)
For the avoidance of doubt, it is intended that a warrant may be issued, or an emergency authorisation given, in this jurisdiction under this Act for the installation, use, maintenance or retrieval of a surveillance device in this jurisdiction or a participating jurisdiction, or both.

No nobody knows but it's out there anyway. I'm well aware what people are discussing here, but my point is it was also mentioned in a court of law. Hope that clarifies for you.

Is he still classified as an acting Police officer if on Annual Leave and PS rings him because he has a problem with his car? Jubes then goes to visit and records him.

He said he saw Mr Savage again on December 28, 2018. He was on annual leave at the time, visiting his widowed mum, not from Kendall, when Mr Savage called him on the mobile telephone

“It was unexpected,” he said. “He had an issue with his car, which had been seized. He reached out to me.”

Mr Jubelin thought maybe this “was developing the rapport that we need. I thought, I can’t bypass this opportunity,” he said.

He borrowed his Mum’s car to drive to Mr Savage’s house. He recorded the conversation because he was alone, and “when opportunities present themselves, you either take it or you lose the opportunity.”

“If I went into his place on my annual leave ... all sorts of allegations could be made,” he said.

Mr Jubelin said he was not armed.

'It's disgusting': William Tyrrell's foster mother launches furious tirade against the police and claims they're 'doing nothing' to find her son five years after he went missing

New episodes of Ten News First podcast Where's William Tyrrell? will be released on Monday, where the boy's foster mother claims internal politics and in-fighting from NSW Police officers involved in the case has hampered the investigation.

'I'm really angry because police are playing with William,' his foster mum told Ten News First.

'William's investigation right now is not going, they're getting ready for the coroner's court.

Mr Jubelin said he had a junior officer record one phone call to Mr Savage so his side of the conversation was backed up.
He was asked if he said "just do it".
"No, because there wasn't any resistance to doing what I had asked," Mr Jubelin replied.
