I’m hoping they take into account that

1. PS did have surveillance by warrant for a time (so not random that he decided to tape the conversation)
2. The infighting in the team and difficulty in getting a straight answer on what was going on
3. That he took the recording under consideration of needing to being alone and potentially worried
4. That the team wanted to stop looking at PS and he thought it was a last ditch effort

I think he might still get a small charge for not following protocol after taking the recording outside of the warrant, but hope it will be an error in process rather than what the charge has stated.

And I wonder if after all of this there will be an investigation into the infighting and or an official complaint from the Fosters regarding Scott Cook and his comments

Imo, this trial was brought about to publicly humiliate Jubelin to bring him down a peg, quite petty actually. I think it's done the exact opposite, it's shed light on how badly the investigation was going, if the top bloke had given up, it's understandable some officers chose not to stand by Jubelin and whoever he thought was a poi at the time, the boss says lets totally scale back while Jubelin was going full steam ahead, a great cop, isn't his attitude what we expect from our police force?

Cook definitely needs to learn about compassion and empathy because sometimes, it's all you can do, he let William's family down, he'd made up his mind it was a lost cause, omg, makes me angry just writing that.

Sadly, there are other missing persons on the books, but each grieving and desperate family needs to know their child will never be abandoned, that every avenue is being
thoroughly explored and investigated. It's not their fault it wasn't handled correctly from the start and as a result, Cook wants to cut his losses. smh

After HS died, PS walked around the town with an A4 picture of his wife around his neck. Jubelin thought this was strange.

The size of the photo varies in articles A3 and A4.

It is very odd. imo

Det Greg Gallyot said PS wore a photopgraph of his dead wife for a month after her death because he was so devoted to her.

I wonder if HS ever spoke to her brother, sister in law, children, friends about her husbands avo and possible health issues. Was she concerned about his state of mind?

I agree, it is odd behaviour, it certainly raises concerns about his emotional state, physically he appears fit and he was quite animated in the snippet of the interview with Jubelin. He seems suspicious because of his disappearance at important key moments which doesn't appear to have been cleared up. I can see where Jubelin might believe this man would make rash decisions if something tragic happened, or he witnessed something alarming to do with William, and not report it.
He breached the avo with the postie, so he's impulsive and acts on his emotions without considering or respecting the other person's boundaries. This also could mean, he's in places where he shouldn't be and wouldn't admit to it. jmo

Potentially A3....

I mean i can’t imagine losing my partner - but the behaviour is extremely weird. Wether it was caused by her death? Potentially ? Regardless, it does seem he was not mentally fit at the time.

So... based on Intensive searches June 2018, where they instigated by looking into PS?

Hope you don't mind me adding a few dates.

5 October 2017
PS was told by GJ it was police who planted the suit on the track and photo's of him were taken.

6 October 2017
PS called GJ when he was at home, told GJ he saw a white top, possibly striped covered in dirt.
It was this moment GJ wondered is he describing the suit on the track or the one William was wearing the day he vanished.

Paraphrased from
Nothing black and white about William Tyrrell case

Assuming warrants for PS home, car and phones were current, given Margaret Cuneen conceded the last recording on 28 December 2018 is the only one where a warrant was not in place.

So... based on Intensive searches June 2018, where they instigated by looking into PS?

That's the million dollar question.:)
Some thought the search a waste of time as I recall. However, Harriett Grahame made time to visit Kendall during the search. She must have considered it worthwhile.

If there is someone else on the radar, imo it would be imperative that PS be investigated and every stone turned to rule him in or out. Because with all his contradictions, mutterings and behaviour. He would be a liability if another is ever charged.

Hi JWS,
I'm not sure if they can be linked to PS …. The coroner was involved in those searches I think... and after her visit to the forensic search site / Kendall Area - they added the search of Batar creek road and Cedars Lane...

The Police had never done a forensic search of the area until 2018...… and I think the Coroner wanted to know "why the hell they hadn't done it"???

In addition to the Coroner not hearing evidence from Jubes …… I don't think Lambert has ever been called either???

So both lead investigators haven't been called …. ???

Unless Lambert appeared in closed court ?? but his name has never been on an Inquest List that I know of...

Totally agree, The one thing Jubelin has done is admit what he did and stand up to what he did regardless of the consequences. He never lied about it, he never walked away from it. He told the truth.

Cook just Denies Denies Denies he said or did anything wrong.

There are so many unsolved missing persons and there would and will be a time that things need to wind down a little in a case, but that doesn't excuse heartless comments and a lack of compassion to those who have a loved one missing and are wanting answers.

I agree this trial has if anything highlighted Jubelin's loyal determination for justice, not for his own agenda but the families to have answers and closure.

Gary Jubelin trial: Mutterings of William Tyrrell’s neighbour

I am no psychologist.... but how could PS consider himself to have been so devoted to her if he was out being infatuated with and making advances to the postwoman whilst HS was still alive, ending in an AVO to stay away from her.

Maybe him wearing this photo was his way of dealing with the guilt?

Totally strange behavior regardless. Most keep a photo in there wallet/purse of a loved one.
