Could the 2hr difference in the time on the photos taken on the phone be due to it having been purchased overseas (Bali)?

This is what was written in the report
If you take out the small dirt track off Benaroon Drive, which winds several hundred metres up to a cemetery where William's grandfather is buried, or another dirt track that meanders up another side of a ridge, the street is the only way in and out.
And the walk up both tracks is steep. Very steep.

Well that's just wrong. I'm not sure if it was a police person that wrote that or whatever... but its's just completely wrong, who's report are you quoting?

"18 September: Foster mother picks up relative from Port Macquarie airport and suddenly remembers three strange cars being in Benaroon Drive before William's disappearance.

Gives second police statement, at Port Macquarie, and says while searching for William on September 12 she heard a quick, sharp high-pitched scream from the reeds and a grassy knoll.

The sound was "like ... when a child hurts themselves" although "maybe it was a bird""

So the scream that could have been a bird that was heard in the reeds and a grassy knoll, was reported 6 days after he went missing, and at the same time as she remembered the three strange cars.

Links are very important. My favourite quote from Mods 'If you can't link it don't say it'

Grassy knoll?

That's it. As much as to say FFC's account is ludicrous. Dropping it in once might have been an accidental witticism, but twice?
The link for the above is here:

let me be clear that it’s not my intention to prove what I post to be right or to prove anyone else’s posts to be wrong. I am simply posting bits of information that I’ve come across that cover all aspects and all possible scenarios. I’m not finger pointing or claiming my thoughts and opinions to be fact because that would require actual proof and that I most certainly don’t have.

The article wherein that is quoted is here:

I did say that there was a link posted up yesterday by another member. The link is titled William Tyrrell. Might be a good idea to open the link and read the report.

From memory the photos were not taken on a phone they were taken with a camera which was purchased either in Bali or around the time the family went to Bali which is also where William got his Spider-Man costume. Although not confirmed by coroner we’ll not that I’ve read anywhere, that the 2hr time difference was that between Bali and Nsw and ff had forgotten to adjust the time on the camera when they returned

Here's the link to the article peekinandy.

Steep may mean different things to different people. Dan Proudman the journalist thought it was steep - a quick google of Dan Proudman might explain why he could have thought it a steep walk - no disrespect to Dan intended. Or maybe what he meant was it would be steep for a 3yr old, especially if he had asthma?

Ok thanks. For some reason, I thought it was her phone.

There was a lot of discussion about the camera here at time of last inquest when the time stamp came into question.

Steep meaning inclined. Re reading the report I do feel as though that word was used in reference to a child’s point of view being that the dirt tracks would have looked “steep”

We're waiting to hear the results.. but it seems odd that the photos are not out *exactly* two hours, but rather 1 hour 58 minutes and 50 seconds.

The report by X-Ways forensic software reads: “Created 12/09/2014 07:39:54 Corrected time: 12/09/2014 09:37:44”.

There are a couple of photos of the photo discrepancies at this link:

So now we’re quibbling over 70 seconds? I think I’ll wait for the inquest. IMO.

Yes. On that date, 9:37am Sydney time would correspond to 7:37 in Denpasar and Taipei, for instance. Could the camera have been manually altered to Sydney time and the person's reference was a couple of minutes out?

No one really knows why the time discrepancies not even police could explain it. If it was as simple as time differences from one country to another that would be simple enough i would think, but then why the need for a forensic examination of the photos timeline? And BD's lawyer and the coroner needed a forensic explanation too. But hopefully it will come out at the next phase of the Inquest for clarity?

No-one apart from the FFC saw those cars and even the Coroner questioned the accuracy of her claim.

You can't take it as a given.
