The original post was in reference to MSM and the media yes I did read that comment prior to yours. For sure the media can play a huge role in persuading and influencing its readers to think and see things a certain way but your comment was suggestive of the media presenting information that centres around Williams custodial status. If for example William wasn’t a foster child but everything else was the same but instead of foster parents it would be biological parents in the spotlight I can’t see how media reporting would be any different or how discussions between interested people on social media would be any different.I respect that some members feel strongly about the foster parents and support them and that’s fair enough. I on the other hand prefer to look every possible scenario without bias that which is plausible of course
I disagree but respect your opinion

Where would the forensic software be pulling the corrected time from then? Perhaps the created time stamp includes the time zone it was originally set to, so that the corrected time can be inferred from the created time together with the location of the photographed place. But then what does the two-minute discrepancy mean?

Now I'll try to shut up.
Few more days and you might get an answer

Look forward ( with sadness to what we might here ) to the inquest .

Taking into account the fact that the time stamp on the last photo taken was bought to the attention of the coroner by the legal representation for wt biological father at the last inquest. Shouldn’t this CRUCIAL piece of evidence been presented to the coroner prior to the inquest?
BBM, That would depend on when it was first noticed in the 2000 page document i would think?

Not a personal attack on you so please don’t take it as such but “Might get an answer” won’t suffice. Sorry. Every piece of bill speddings statements paul savages statements and lives were scrutinised right down to the very last detail and publicly for all to see hear and read. And with reason. It’s an investigation. I hope for Williams sake that this inquest is in the right hands

Think it was until GJ was taken off the case

it May very well have been noticed prior however it was never mentioned discussed or made a question to fm and ff questioned whilst under oath on the stand at either of the inquests. Unless I’m wrong if anyone has information stating otherwise

And thank you for your valuable insight and information. I too am looking forward to what comes out of this inquest and also with much sadness as I’m not confident that it will provide the answers needed to bring William home. But I always live in faith so fingers crossed

Here's the link to the article peekinandy.

Steep may mean different things to different people. Dan Proudman the journalist thought it was steep - a quick google of Dan Proudman might explain why he could have thought it a steep walk - no disrespect to Dan intended. Or maybe what he meant was it would be steep for a 3yr old, especially if he had asthma?

"If you take out the small dirt track off Benaroon Drive, which winds several hundred metres up to a cemetery where William's grandfather is buried, or another dirt track that meanders up another side of a ridge, the street is the only way in and out.
And the walk up both tracks is steep. Very steep."

William Tyrell: how a boy vanished into thin air

Thank Blues. Maybe he means steep for a 3 year old? lol. I have no idea. At the end of William's street there's the dirt road which has a slight gradient & then you turn right along a track to the cemetery - the track is kinda flat. But if you went left, and continued walking along the dirt road away from the cemetery it begins to gets steep... anyway. no matter. just a different in steep attitudes :)

I could be wrong, but I took it as being corrected by the forensic software company not anyone else:

The report, obtained by The Australian, was generated by X-Ways forensic software. It reveals the image is a .jpg created on a digital camera, and it says: “Created: 12/09/2014 07:39:54. Corrected time: 12/09/2014 09:37:44.”

Probe into William photo

ETA: I don't think a camera will show created and corrected times. MOO

I think some are missing my point here. IMO the camera doesn't say Created/Corrected neither does the EXIF data - the REPORT says that.

The report, obtained by The Australian, was generated by X-Ways forensic software. It reveals the image is a .jpg created on a digital camera, and it says: “Created: 12/09/2014 07:39:54. Corrected time: 12/09/2014 09:37:44.”

Put together my bolded parts and it says "The report generated by X-Ways forensic software says created.....Corrected" etc.

So if X-Ways have forensically tested the photo's on the camera, to me it looks like they (X-Ways) are the ones that have reported the corrected time.

IMO - it's worded incorrectly by The Australian.

That is all I will say on the matter I'm just confusing everyone, the answer should be known next week.

Roll on next week, its been such a long wait.
My greatest fear is we will learn nothing new and the inquiry will be postponed again for months, or even indefinitely.

The number of known child sex offenders in NSW has increased more than 500 percent since William went missing.

The problem is particularly bad on the mid-north coast where there are thought to be hundreds of sex offenders.

Thank you for the post, stormy. I went to 'like' it but somehow it just doesn't feel right. :(

What a terrible environment for littlies and their parents.

Can someone explain to me, how the minutes and seconds on the time stamp are different on Williams last photo??

I still don't understand that aspect.

If it was a timezone issue , wouldn't it just have been 7:39:54 am to 9:39:54am??

The only explanation I could offer would be the time it took someone to find and adjust the time. So a bit like setting your alarm clock to the correct time by your watch and when it goes off in the morning it's a couple of minutes later than the time on your watch.

As none of us are Meta Data Specialists …. that is what we don't know, but are expecting to find out the answer to that very question next week at the inquest....and hopefully early in the first week....:)

Yep. We've been through all this during first part of inquest. With older digital cameras you could manually set time, didn't update automatically. Anyway, IMO it's a minor technological issue and not a major game changer in the whole of the case.
