Not even close I would say
I think close imo. Not sure if it’s just surrounding houses but most have popped up as either poi or witness statements.

Ray popped up as a friend of FA that lived by the show grounds

bearbear,

The CO book says that FGM told a few people about William's foster-care status after he'd gone missing, so I agree: it's reasonable to think she might have mentioned his upcoming visit before he arrived, too.

"[A text from the director of the Young Hope out-of-home care program] said: 'I received a phone call from [William's caseworker] who informed me that the foster carer's mum had disclosed to Fay at the local convenience store, and to Mercure (hotel) staff, that William was her grandson, and that they were (in) foster care. I immediately phoned [woman from FACS] to convey the situation. The foster carer's sister was also instructed that her mother was not to have these conversations."

My thoughts were yesterday: He drove a woman and a child? Had he been a taxi driver beside his other jobs? (Thinking of PB/nocturnal man ....)
ETA: If he drove the woman, it was a very long journey and expensive, so very unusual, I think. He had around 3-4 hours time to listen to this woman and the child and didn't hear a name or something important for identifying her? I wonder.
Yip im puzzled on this...how would you give someone a lift if you didnt know them..they werent hitch hiking i doubt..so how did this lift come about..arranged ?? By who

We don't know for sure that FA didn't know the woman and child that he supposedly took to Tamworth as FA hasn't provided his testimony yet. Personally, I think he does... but we will have to wait and see.

Lia's tweet just recounts an incident from a witness with no right of reply.

This info about FA taking a child & kid to Tamworth , is just other people re-telling his " stories" he told.

FA loved to tell stories IMO & I don't give much weight to this story at all.

Plus, we have had very little evidence that he ever drove, mostly had other people drive him around. I can't see him driving to Tamworth at all IMO

Will be interesting to see what he has to say next week ( I have my suspicions he may say very little & take up a certificate )

He's used this week to blab on & on .............IMO

Is that after William was taken? This is more about the foster care statis.

FGM had to be reined in after W went missing because she was reportedly telling people that W was a foster child, which was a no-no, so it is not inconceivable that she also could have been excitedly telling people before he disappeared, that her family would be visiting. It was not a secret that the family would be visiting, it was only a secret that they were arriving on the 11th instead of the 12th. Who knows if she may have shared with friends and acquaintances, shop owners and etc., that the family was to arrive on the weekend. Afterall, it seemed like it would be a special occasion in FGM's life, considering FM said it was their first visit since FGF had passed away in February, which was 7 months prior.

"There were no circumstances under which it wanted the public to know that William was a foster child. Here is one of the emails that were exchanged immediately after he went missing.

"Voice reading email: I got a text from Denise saying the three year old missing was in foster care. The situation was shared in a public setting. I asked Denise to convey that this was confidential and that his care status was *not* something that should be shared. The conversation could reach the media. It was entirely inappropriate, and imperative that William’s care status *not* be made known. I pressed the importance of keeping this information confidential.

"CO: Here’s another, even more urgent:

"Voice reading email: I received a phonecall from Ben Atwood, who informed me that the foster carer’s mom had disclosed to Faye, at the local convenience store, and to Mercure staff that William was her grandson and they were in foster care. I immediately phone Briney from FACS to convey this situation. Briney said she would immediately have it followed up at the Mercure and that she would also follow up with Faye also. Foster carer’s sister was also instructed that her mother was *not* to have these conversations."

"Foster carer’s sister"
This answers the question that confused us about who might have answered the phone to GO in the day or so before WT was taken.

It also indicated that FGM was not aware that she shouldn't speak about WT's foster status and her relationship to him. You could draw a conclusion that she would probably have spoken to people about him prior to his disappearance as well.

There was also an additional reason to speak about her family, because her nice, big home was getting sold (a very special circumstance: leaving the hometown) and her daughter/s-i-l (FFC/MFC) had to help her to prepare the handover. MOO

Apparently, the FFC & MFC were not there to help her pack, but to help her look for another property. Don't have a link but FGM said words to the effect they were there to stop her making a silly decision (about a new home).

The William Tyrrell inquest has resumed in Taree with police officer Robert Dingle on the stand. He told the court he was told in October 2018 Frank Abbott wanted to speak to police, so he went to interview him.

At the time, Abbott was facing a District Court trial and was in custody. He told Officer Dingle about a trip he took with his friend Ray Porter to a property near Kendall.

The court heard Abbott told him they went to a spot where there was a “log dump” and ran into two men in an old white station wagon. He said one man introduced himself as “Jones” and he told the officer he later saw a man on the news he recognised as the man he saw.

He said the men had a young boy with them “about 7 years of age”, however he “conceded his memory was not reliable at his age”. He told the officer he thought the encounter would have happened shortly after his release from prison in July 2015.

The Coroner asked Officer Dingle to clarify why Abbott thought this was relevant to the William Tyrrell case and he told the court “the gentleman he’d seen at the log dump he now believed was the same person” he’d seen on TV as a POI in the toddler’s disappearance.

He told the court Abbott was “adamant” that he wanted to ensure “the information would make its way to the Strike Force” investigating William’s disappearance.
