Re the "creepy house": I kept a file for similarly creepy photos of other houses too, all advertised by the same real estate agent (whose agency and website have since gone). The photographer seems to have had a strange ability to make every house look like the residents had fled the scene without warning. (I mean no offence to the owners of these properties, by the way. I expect their places would have looked very different if the photos had been done by anybody else.)

Some examples, with Creepy House first:

Thanks for posting the pic of #35 living room. Now people can see a bit of the stuffed toy sitting on the top of the couch.

(I don't know whose houses all the other pics are from, but they look much more normal to me. I think 'staging' of properties for sale is a more recent happening, and there may have been no facilities in that general area to rent furniture for staging ... as well as it being somewhat costly.)

Blues Clues,
I've got the paperback edition of CO's Missing William Tyrrell, so can't do much of a search, but just based on a quick flick through: I think there's nothing about GO's vehicle. And I think the only time GO is mentioned is in relation to his phone call to FGM's house at 9:10 am on Fri 12 Sep 2014.

But at the inquest: a white sedan was mentioned in Lia Harris's tweets on 14 Aug 2019 during the appearance of witness MM:

@LiaJHarris: [MM] is asked about a man named [GO], who he played darts with. He tells the court he didn’t know him well. Mr [GO] is also expected to testify in the coming days.

@LiaJHarris: [MM] is asked if he knew [BS] and he tells the court he didn’t. He is also asked if he knew Mr [GO] drove a White sedan and he said he didn’t.

Thank you Stormbird, much appreciated. It seems GO's car is of interest.

#35 was sold in June 2015.

If the camera wasn't put up until 2016, could they have been watching to see if he returned to the property? Or was it the property itself they were watching and not "a fat hairy gorilla of a man"? Were they expecting to see someone else come to the property perhaps?

It is such a creepy photo to use when you're trying to sell a house... normally the photos look much better than reality so I can just imagine what the place really looked like. It also appears to me that it looks like the the person is getting ready to move/pack up.
Just such a strange photo.

I just re-read this older news article where they talk abouy searching a small house near the FGM's... sounds like #35:
Disturbing early clues in William Tyrrell search

They mention that the officer who looked briefly in the roof cavity saw a plastic owl. So creepy because the plastic owl is also in the living room pic. Of course it doesn't mean anything and could also be a different out. Why would he have a boxed up window though??
The article also mentions a man with a white ute watching the search when they found blood near the side of the road... and we've heard so much discussion on cars and utes!
Any thoughts?

There are some interesting comments about the neighbor from No35 in Jubes' Book, that are fairly disturbing .... IMO

He describes him as "a fat hairy gorilla of a man"

"Hanging in what remains of his garden are the bodies of dead animals, tied up with string. Walking inside my worry deepens when we find what looks like a kind of shrine at the end of the man's bed made out of a photograph of William, along with quotes of mine taken from newspapers, saying we will never give up trying to find him."

This is so creepy... and very interesting in the way GJ describes the man "a fat hairy gorilla of a man"...hmmm

I wonder if the than occupant of #35 may have been a user of the dark web??

And we don't know who subsequently purchased the property neither...

Very possible. I found the way GJ described him in the book very intriguing. Did not give a very positive impression of him. We also don't know if he was questioned at the inquest correct?

What we do know is, he can't be named. We also know there are witnesses who have given their testimony in closed court. Maybe he is one of them. Maybe not.

"Police also searched the home of one neighbour, who cannot be named, three times in a period of less than 24 hours."

I’ve been trying to think of reasons why this man can not be named AND why police were focused heavily on him in the first 24 hours by searching his house 3 times. IMO, those two facts together point towards the likelihood of prior criminal history. This is JMO though and I could be way off the mark. I hope he was investigated much more thoroughly than we are aware of.

Well, there are only a certain amount of reasons why a person can't be named - to protect children, due to sub judice, to protect informers, perhaps other reasons that I am not aware of.

FGM said his first name is Peter. I bet journos know exactly who he is, with their kind of resources.

'I was asked this question initially by Wendy Hudson (a police woman who lives in Kendall) and I suggested Peter across the road, (as he keeps odd hours and lives alone),' the inquest document said.

#35 has always bothered me, I found the real estate pics creepy, that’s before we knew about the contraption across his window, I dont recall ever hearing a logical reason for it.
After hearing that postie was not interviewed until 2017, I suspect occupant of #35 had even less scrutiny.
I think EVERYONE who was in Benaroon Drive should have been under more scrutiny.
I suspect up until 2017 BS was still main POI.

Trying to recall if there was any sign of a computer in realestate pics. Did we ever find out if the guy owned or re ted #35.
I think we did know his name at one stage, but drew almost a total blank trying to find any presence of him online.

I dont recall seeing a computer, but that is a desk chair that is sitting by his front living room door.

(Edited out renter/owner info.)

I think he was a renter IIRC. I think someone (Makara?) found the name of the owner, at that time. Someone else may remember better than I can right now.

He wasn't a renter - his name was on the Property sale contract, but he can't be named.

Ahh ... thank you. Glad someone else remembers. :)

The camera was discovered by Savage in the bush in March 2016, so I think others were likely under suspicion well prior to 2017.

Photos show the camera repeatedly took photos of Savage's as he plucked it out of the bushes and walked it into his home on March 25, 2016, where police claim kept it for five weeks.

I guess the camera could have been put there well before March 2016, when Savage discovered it.
It definitely could have been put there to see if anyone returned to the area.

(Edited out incorrect info.)

Also in March 2016, Beacroft started investigating the two cars that were parked on the street.

In one document, Detective Sergeant Laura Beacroft said that in March 2016 she investigated William's foster mother's claims that she saw two parked cars outside the home the morning he went missing.
