The following is an extract from the book I Catch Killers - Gary Jubelin. Published recently in the DT.
What it indicates is GJ concluded BS wasn't involved in 2016... and BS was not the only line of enquiry at the time.

BILL is not our only line of inquiry. So far, we’ve spoken to 18 known sex offenders who live among the acre blocks and rural properties that lie within a 30-kilometre radius of Benaroon Drive, and another 60 who live further beyond it.

There seem to be so many such offenders on this stretch of the Mid North Coast. It’s as if they’ve settled on this quiet, overlooked backwater like mosquitoes.

One of them, Gavin (not his real name), is now Bill’s cellmate at Cessnock Correctional Complex where the white goods repairman is waiting for his next bail hearing. We monitor their interaction.

Both men live near each other in Kendall and both have past links to Wellington, yet it seems they have never met before.

While Bill is in the cell, I go back at him again. We launch a covert operation, the details of which are kept within our strike force and the bosses who authorise it.

It seems to work. Bill continues to insist he was nowhere near Benaroon Drive when William went missing.

That’s it, I think. He didn’t do it. On 8 June, I update the strike force’s investigation plan, to say that, accepting on the balance of probabilities, Bill was not involved in William’s abduction and we need to refocus our investigation.

I thought they lived across the road from each other in Wellington? Wasn't there a story about how the Speddings helped them when their house burnt down?

If it is who we think it is, yes they lived near each other in Wellington, but neither live in Kendall or, for that matter, near each other in that area.

Yes that's my understanding as well.

I wonder if it was meant to say... Both men live near each other in the Kendall area or in the vicinity of Kendall?

Possible, there are a few 'editing' errors that I've come across so far in the book.

That's a shame. Seems it happens even to the best of them :(

I would love to know who GJ thinks is most likely the perpetrator...

So just reading Jubes's new book .......:)
We finally have an answer about the Post Lady.....

"We bring the Post Lady in for an interview in April 2017 .She tells us her mail run to the street the day was unusually early, at around 8.45am so she would have been long gone before William disappeared."

Ref: I Catch Killers
Chapter White Spider Pg 4 E Version
Post lady would have been on her round nearly the same time as Savage walked up Benaroon Drive from Batar Creek Road returning from his walk. About 8:45 versus 8:50. As far as I know neither saw the other? Also PS didn't notice the 2 parked cars, which he would have had to have walked right past, if they were there, and FFC said she saw them for the second time at 8:55. I wonder if there's something wrong about PS's return--if he didn't come back the way he said he did, or the time was significantly out.

How much of the Jubelin/Box book is about William's case?

It bothers me that the resident of #35 seems to have been untouchable to everyone.
We seemed to know all the other neighbours names.
Not even the reporters seem to have shown any interest in him, yet quite a few of us find him very suspicious.
Are people scared of him, did he threaten to sue anyone who published anything about him?

Another dodgy link to Wellington... isn't that where TJ and BioMum's friend Kim also have history??

I thought I read that BS and TJ lived across the road from one another at Wellington, IIRC. I'll look back through the threads to find a link.

Not Bio Mums friend - Bio Grandma's friend Kim - had lived in Wellington in the past.

They did, nobody is disputing that. Country area though so big difference to living across the road in a suburban area.

Thank you for the correction!

No problem - seems I've been doing that a bit today (doesn't feel good) but we need to have facts.
