OK this site says it can be hard to distinguish between infant and animal bones, so I feel like cutting them a bit of slack since William was so young, but I don't see why the media had to hear they found any bones at all until they were sure it was an important find: http://www.statemuseum.arizona.edu/crservices/human_animal_bone.shtml Just no need for the family to go through that kind of heartache unless it was finally some answers.

Surely they would test the bones first before creating such unbearable waiting for the family ?

Agree. I've been checking updates all day. I imagine his family has been doing the same given the searches being carried out today.

I can't even fathom reading about bones being found if police were searching for my child. Devastating. The media really has no respect ��

Who are the first and second parties ?

Honestly? I would think it strange if animal bones WEREN'T found! I've never been off a track without seeing some kind of small bones beforre too long, it is just so common. They absolutely MUST be tested in cases like this, but for the sake of the family no details should be released until after confirmation of some kind.

It is not yet known whether the bones found near Bonny Hills National Park are animal or human, but investigators are examining the remains.

No, it doesn't look good... and it's even less than 3km because Google Maps went to the the middle of Houston Mitchell Drive when I typed it in. He could even walk to that bushland from his house.

Yes - I thought I saw the same - it could be monitoring wildlife - or they could have been put there some time ago by investigators.

If the worst has happened, I can only hope police can uncover any rings operating, then it's possible this poor little kid may have saved other kids lives

Phew..... My opinion is that BS is well and truly involved - along with perhaps a few others..... too much of a coincidence that the area they are searching is so close to his property..
