I checked last night and couldn't find BS in the court lists, checked again today and bingo, he's appearing today.

I'm giving Margaret Spedding the benefit of the doubt for the moment. Perhaps she is in court not to support him but to actually find out details of the charges. It's after today we'll see what type of woman she really is.
I can't imagine the hearing will go for long anyway. Hopefully he will be remanded in custody for a later date.

If I were MS, I'd be turning up to hear about details of prior crimes, as well..

If they were relatives, and this was in 1987, and Bill and Margaret have been married for 30 years, then doesn't this mean it could be her daughters, nieces .. or his nieces?

Yes, I have been wondering if Margaret already had young children when they married. That would not be an uncommon pedo move ... to marry or get into a relationship with someone with little ones.

Once again the child care system fails big time. Better to have kids in the care of a pedophile than their own mother. Right now there's a mother of 7? or is it 8? crying KARMA and who may just get her kids back.

Im not surprised by the latest accusations at all or the fact they happened nearly 30 years ago or the fact Margaret is sticking by him. The EXACT same thing happened in my family. A family member of mine was a paedophile and abused many many of the girls in our family and had previously (years and years before i was born) been charged regarding a few unrelated girls. I was the last one in a long line of family members (the youngest cousin) and i spoke up at a very young age. Many spoke up before me but everyone buried their heads in the sand. Relationships were ruined, families were split and many members still have nothing to do with the family. His wife stayed with him until the day he died, some of his daughters are still in denial and think he was the greatest man that walked the earth and he never had to pay for what he did. If my family got their heads out of their arses 20 years earlier i wouldnt have gone through what i did. As an adult now and with a better understanding it makes me incredibly angry but im smarter and more vigilant for it.
So NO none of whats happening is a surprise to me at all. I also suspect this isnt the first time the accusations have come about, or why would Margaret need to be reassured by a clairvoyant?

Isn't there some law with the media not being allowed to report on child sex abuse on a minor, because they want to protect them? Does this apply if the victims are now over 18?

It was already said yesterday that bail would be denied.

BILL Spedding&#8217;s wife Margaret has arrived at Port Macquarie courthouse to support her husband appearing on charges of child rape.

She arrived hand-in-hand with her relative Colin Youngberry at about 9:25am.

She did not make any comment.
