re: why would someone flush a t-shirt down the toilet (this is an assumption on my part because I fail to see how a shirt could get down a sink or shower or bathtub or laundry drain, but toilet I can understand because: ):

I have three kids and a septic tank. When we had the septic pumped a couple of years ago the workers pointed out three things we have to do differently to avoid clogs in the future:

1. put a hair catcher in the drains
2. stop flushing tampons
3. don't let your children flush clothing down the toilet anymore

of course the first two were my fault, and that wasn't at all embarassing () but the third, we had to go talk to our kids about. Turns out one of our children for some reason had flushed a pair of boxer shorts. I still have not gotten an answer out of him as to why he did that when he could've put them in the trash, but apparently children think the toilet is a magical-disappearing-vortex where they can eliminate all signs of something.

Point being, an embarassed and/or humiliated child may be the source of this item being in the drain. Why, who knows? I haven't even figured out the why in my own kid's situation. But just a thought. Kids of all ages (mine was a teenager at the time!!!!) think they can flush stuff and it just goes away forever. FWIW.

I realize threads so serious in nature do not lend themselves to moments of levity but I can't help but want to share this with you all... when I just now google searched:

"bill spedding" "speddos"

google immediately asked me this:

Did you mean: "bill spedding" "peddos" ?

well played, google. well played.

But the children in care as mentioned above are not as far as we know victims. MS contacted the victims via text apparently. This is just discussing fear of the parents/grandparents due to the other charges.

Part of the police case against Spedding is a series of formal statements made by adults who know him. The Daily Telegraph revealed yesterday one of the people made the original call to Crime Stoppers about Spedding days after William Tyrrell was snatched.

This stood out to me too but I had forgotten to comment on it. Days after William went missing everyone still thought he was in the bush...

Someone who knows Spedding and made a formal statement against him knew he was meant to be at William's grandma's that day? How did she know? Was she there when Spedding saw the house on tv and said, "I think I've been there?"

According to a relative, the first time Mr Spedding had mentioned the baffling case was when he saw William’s grandmother’s home on television news reports and said “hey, I think I’ve been there”.

He was called back to Kendall to complete the repair in the week after William *disappeared.

I agree the whole Tshirt thing is odd but if the Tshirt did belong to WT IMO that would be enough to arrest someone. I Think it was released to justify the search.

  • #586
I just cannot see that the washing machine being repaired would have been a priority, given what was taking place.

But LE having a chat to the repairman that was called back to do the repair - may have been. imo

That visit just happened to be mention in the media.

I just randomly googled "speddos hire" and google showed me facebook pages of people who have entered that they have worked there.

I didn't know there would be other people working in such close connection with our POI. The one particular profile with the growing marijuana plant for a profile pic is all kinds of sus, JMO of course.

(I rarely if ever post about facebook so if this post is in the gray area of what can and cannot be posted about I apologize and obviously hope it will be reported and removed.)

Well, anyway. I'm sure LE have already tracked down and interviewed his other partners, past and present, for their possible pedo ring involvement (and other activities of questionable legality perhaps), but I find myself wondering what (and who) all else they're going to find at this point. JMO.

You could be on to something there. It seems silly for an adult to flush something they want to hide. Why not bag it and hide it in the bin? It sounds like it was done by a kid. So puzzling.

Also I don't really understand the whole suprise thing. As it is confirmed by parents that they were due to arrive Friday and WT went missing that morning I dont see how Bs would of actually known he would be there. She might of said Friday but nothing more? LE Gary said maybe was just a chance encounter. I tend to agree. The POI had a reason to turn up. Perhaps he could not get through so just drove there.

Hello fruity. Both my cousin and my neighbour are retired Snr Sergeants and they are both very gentle family men but they BOTH arc up when they speak about the animals out there, almost a fear comes into their eyes. The worst of the worst should never ever see the light of day again ...

Their day is coming. 'It would be better for them if a millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.' Supreme Justice awaits.

OMG this finding is the "gateway drug" equivalent of opening a can of worms from hell for a websleuth member.

There is no other news article, post, sleuthing term, etc that opens one's eyes like this profile.

And with that, I have to self-censor. No wonder this thread is so difficult to keep within TOS.

unless ms or someone else found the t shirt and flushed it?

Anything bigger than a Barbie shirt would be near impossible to flush past the S bend.
Where could have they found a shirt?

A shower drain??

AHH CRIKEY! I just can't get used to this.
No wonder some sleuthers need a break from this sick.
Bloody hell.

Me neither. I feel like I'm on the verge of taking a break. Part of me wants to stay on top of things because I'm desperate for William to be found but at the same time this is a world I really don't want to know anything about. It's like being emotionally assaulted reading all this horrid sh**. My thoughts are with the police officers who know more than we do. Good grief. I'm thinking back to the looks on their faces, especially Fehon, when they were giving press releases. They weren't revealing anything but their faces always told 1000 words. I'm wondering if they knew this stuff all along while we thought they were "stumped".

Where could have they found a shirt?

Is the home rural enough to have septic instead of public sewer and water? Or is it completely different there than the US (I admit I am painfully uninformed as to the way the Australian septic/sewer system works)?

I ask because we have septic as previously stated and somehow those boxer shorts ended up all the way out in the yard at the junction of the outflow pipe and the actual septic tank. I don't know how it would've been different if we had city water/sewer though. Either way, I suppose the smaller the shirt the further it will go (and we don't know if it was cut into several pieces or anything either - I doubt police would release such specific details of a piece of possible.. probable IMO ... evidence). What a freaking heartbreaking scenario that conveys.... the smaller the shirt the younger the child. ugh.

ETA: I remember now they said he does have septic.

I read all your posts ...thank you for sharing .. but rarely post. However one thing I can't get out of my mind is the child allegedly given by BS to another man for sex. This is just so horrible, sickening and upsetting to read about. Is that poor child ever going to be found? If the police knew this, then no wonder BS became a POI in the disappearance of William. For that alone, I hope he rots in jail for the rest of his days.

I hear you... feel the same way. Then I realize that suspicious wives probably also get overwhelmed and so just try not to think about it. It doesn't help anyone. So I try to power through. I told my 12 year old daughter all about this case the other day because IMO she needs to know this stuff exists. Otherwise when she's older and I try to explain why she can't go out dressed certain ways she will just think I'm old-fashioned, or anti-sexuality, or over-protective, or who knows what. I want her to know she can be stolen and sold to the highest bidder for sex. I am probably the only parent who will ever say that, but I find it necessary. Knowledge is power. JMO. I also expect this to make her think twice about everything she thinks she wants to be allowed to put on the internet.

(I was painfully unaware of this stuff until I was in my 30s. I would've argued that sex trafficking is not a real thing. How many times did I go out dressed in a way that could've easily attracted predators when I was 13-18 years old? Answer: probably all of them. I feel so lucky not to have become a statistic. I don't want my daughter to become one. I'm willing to take some of her innocence away myself by telling her about it, because I am NOT willing to let someone else take her innocence away from her by taking advantage of her ignorance. JMO)

Wonder how many that are involved in the pedo ring are s******* their pants worrying about when BS is going to name them. I wonder how many different countries they will be from. The thing that I can't wrap my head around is how do these creeps find each other, with the age of the internet it has gotten much easier, but they found each other even 50 years ago, how do they know to gravitate towards each other, I can't see it just coming up in a conversation.

Little William could be anywhere in the world, if BS is guilty of taking William he could have turned him over to another pedo shortly after taking him. I watched a documentary about pedo rings, they take the children all over the world, they are all over the world. I think about how easy it would be to change his looks, a little hair rinse can go along way. They get fake identification and disappear.

Keeping fingers crossed that the lead investigator is close to finding William.
