9 killed, 2 injured from August 2015 to July 2016, W. Phoenix; Victims:
Raul Romero, 61 occurred on 8/16/15 was shot & killed,
Jesse Olivas. 22 was shot to death on 1/1/16, a
16 year old boy was shot & wounded on 3/17/16, a
21 year old man shot & wounded on 3/18/16,
Diego Verdugo-Sanchez, 21 was shot & killed on 4/1/16,
Krystal Annette White, 55 was shot to death on 4/19/16,
Horacio Pena, 32 was shot to death on 6/1/16,
Manuel Castro Garcia, 19 was killed on 6/10/16,
Stefanie Ellis, 33 & her daughter,
Maleah, 12 were killed on 6/12/16, their friend
Angela Linner, 31 was also shot; she initially survived, but died from her wounds three weeks later; on 7/11/16, the shooter opened fire on a car occupied by a
21-year-old man & a
4 year old boy, but neither was injured. –
*Aaron Juan Saucedo (23/now 32) ("Serial Street Shooter") indicted (5/9/17),
charged (6/29/17) & arraigned (7/18/17) with 9 counts 1st degree premeditated murder, 6 counts drive-by shooting, 2 counts attempt to commit 1st degree murder, 2 counts aggravated assault, 1 count of endangerment & 1 count discharge of firearm. Plead not guilty. No bond. DP case. Maricopa County
Trial set to begin on 12/7/26. (Trial cancelled 6 times).
