What if the bf crashed the car? The witness kept referring to "they". I know LE said it appears only one person was in the car but things could have been moved around. Could AS have hit her head hard? Maybe he's the one who needed a cab.

Do we know if anybody actually knew the cab driver, Tom? Since he came from Scottsdale, obviously he'd be driving back there too. So I don't know what tracking his GPS proves really. He came and he went - could have picked up anybody along the way outside the view of cameras.

BBM
Cabbie was going to Scottsdale anyway, it was the end of his shift......

There's no issue as to why that service was contacted by her. It advertises Scottsdale and surrounding areas, including Tempe. Key words are used for anyone searching for your company site. When I was selling specific poultry on my old web site, I used: Arizona, Silkies, Chinese Silkies, ASBC, Paulden, Zubaz Ranch, Poultry, Hatcheries, Chicks, Chickens, Adult Chickens....etc.etc. You pick the key words you want that will take your perspective customers to your web page.

I don't know if she had the same relationship with her pup as I did with mine, but when I was really upset, esp relationship issues and feeling lonely or hurt, I wanted my dog with me. She was my comfort and consistent companion. That's why they make such good therapy animals...
And I agree that it is a good idea to put all kinds of ideas out for everyone to consider, and I appreciate it. Opinions and brainstorming are not declarations of absolute truth, and keeps us thinking.... so thanks everyone for sharing!

But....she might have thought she was only going to be gone the day and back that evening when the party started up again? She might not have thought 12 or so hours of being gone would not have required some one taking care of her dog. She could have packed maybe something to swim in if her BF had access to a pool. Unfortunately, we don't even know what she took or what she was wearing.

I wouldn't have done that...my dog went everywhere with me when I was that age. "Love me, Love my Dog".

Until we find out what Adrienne's phone records show, and that might not even prove for sure, we only know for a fact that a female with her phone said she would be there in a minute...

At the risk of sounding redundant, annoying, wrong or disagreeable... FYI
http://www.nationalgangcenter.gov/Gang-Related-News?st=AZ

I'm not saying that someone that is associated with a gang definitely did this to her, but it is still possible IMO, especially considering the cousin's murder, fellow WS's friends being shot in the face, and what I have seen from social media which I can't share here.

Also still wondering about the sex offenders in the area, the guy in the video with gloves on, and if there is any corroboration to the story told by the roommates and bf that we are privy to?

Editing to add: OH! and what about that car with screaming coming from the trunk? That was really really crazy IMO! Timing and everything....

So many questions, trying (although not very successfully) to be patient for the answers!

But then, why the lying? So maybe my idea is too far out there :/

Sleepy, I had the same ideas and wrote them down maybe 2 threads ago. It's not too far out there......or maybe we are, LOL! I just got to the point where I had to work with what's within the report or it'll drive me crazy! So there's some time discrepancies, these young adults could have been 3 sheets and stoned to the bone. They might not have seen anything, they might have seen everything, we just have to sort out what we are willing to put weight into. I still hold onto what you're saying, it may have happened, but if it was just a misjudgment of time, I'm covering myself and starting at the end and back tracking.
When you start mapping and doing a timeline, you'll find hella conflicts, but ? Post your theories, get some feedback, mull it around. Hold on to what your gut tells you but be open to suggestions. Just don't take anything written as "personal". This case gets heated sometimes because we're missing maybe just one piece to make one of the scenarios valid. So until then, we're going to keep coming up against brick walls..........The young adults having something to do with the disappearance is harder now for me to hold onto just because LE doesn't seem to have any interest in them, they MIGHT, but IDK.

She was gone in a minute
BUT then 1/2 the stuff she allegedly was wearing or would have taken with her are not
WALLET IN APARTMENT
EBT CARD IN APARTMENT
CLOTHES IN APARTMENT
DOG IN APARTMENT
CELL PHONE NOT IN APARTMENT
OVERNIGHT BAG NOT IN APARTMENT
makes ya hmm?

gngr~snap, I've been "hmmmmm" all over this case! Her car key was also in the apt, the EBT card was actually a food stamp card. She had a savings account, but her father said there was nothing in it. Add to that her ID too. Roomate originally said she was wearing her party clothes. They were found later.
What did she REALLY take with her? Roomate can't remember which bag was packed!
If I was Adrienne's dad, I would have been fit to be tied. I would have found it EXTREMELY hard not to mentally tap dance all over those kids.
My daughter ran away at 13, she was gone for 2 weeks before we found her, NOT the LE who actually ran into her 3 times. (And she WAS on the National Data Base, my bro in law made sure of it) After I totally lost it when I realized she was gone, I became the mom from he##. I don't know if the local LE thought I had every right to side step a few laws or if I was just plain loca. But I DID threaten several youngsters and adults, I DID kick in one door, I did bust a few heads....I had one kid up against a locker at her high school and the HS security just stood there.
Mr. Salinas has shown an incredible amount of restraint, he's a better person than I.

I agree Bless that poor man. He sat by her side scared to death she would die... when she was sick.

I wonder was he alone?
If so WHY??
Where were her friends?
Boyfriend?

Grr... moo

Her friends may have been there too...she does seem to have at least one very close friend, I've noticed on FB, and I am sure she had others. There seemed to be a group of girls she had been close to since middle school. I don't like to "diss" the friends, without evidence. Adrienne may have been determined to do her thing that night and avoided her friends on purpose. JMO

"In a minute".......the last thing we know Adrienne said.

While those calls surely happened, those words may not have actually been spoken. Unfortunately, we don't really know what was said between her and "certain folks", and where it was said. We are really only going by what a certain individual claims was said and where he says he was when he claims it was said. We really only know the when, but even that is approximate because IIRC we don't have the actual times.

It sure would help if we had all of the electronic data for this case, and had them sync'd correctly. Including video. A verified communications timeline would suffice.

Hey! Thanks for the response. <respectfully snipped> Maybe there is no such thing as a safe time for women alone. :( JMO

I'm sorry for forgetting who it was, but someone mentioned earlier in this thread about the bag she may have packed and returned with from the crash, if she did indeed drive her car. If she had left the apartment again to go to the AMPM she had no wallet, or keys etc: It appears she was not planning on going anywhere after returning to the apartment, IMO.

The three things I take with me wherever I go, are my wallet (or at least ATM card and minor amount of cash), phone and keys! The previous comment also mentioned that she may have decided to stay in, get dressed and was confronted in the home once party had concluded. This IMO is a train of thought which has caught my attention. If her party clothes were found in her room this may imply she had changed at home or was taken from the home/left very quickly, IMO. As the times do not match up it makes it a very confusing and a grey area.

If she had returned upset from her BF's place, psychologically, she may have returned teary/annoyed/angry/upset with her BF, IMO. She may have spoken with her friend on the lawn out the front and waited for individuals to be finished upstairs. IMO When you are upset and after a long night I imagine you want a shower and a clean change of clothes. How frustrating to not have access to your room? IMO. Could an argument ensued between herself, roommate and the man upstairs which resulted in something which got out of hand? All speculation of course. But if you are to believe the line of thinking that it was individuals she may have known, a woman would be on the phone/at her car and another would need to assist to move A's body (possibly a man due to the weight). The two individuals would have a deep loyal connection to each other if they were able to do this. If a room mate was involved it may explain access to the keys, her things found in her room, female having access to A's phone, neighbours not noticing anyone different coming and going form the apartment. All speculation and all my opinion.

whoa, I was without internet for a small handful of hours and come back to six pages. Hopefully there's some new news somewhere in here. time to dig in and catch up!

I know I am in the minority but I completely believed A called the cab and was that desperate to continue the fight and/or make up. Also probably upset by the wreck, maybe wanted to blame the BF for making her so upset that she crashed, or get him to comfort her. I also believe, at this point, that she ran into a predator, known to her or otherwise, but not necessarily anything to do with the party. JMO

Well, with more than a dozen people thanking your post I think it's safe to say most of us agree with you wholeheartedly at this point, or at least nobody here minds you saying so nor interprets it as you not letting someone else get in their own theories.

It's pretty clear this is what happened based on everything we know, not the least of which being cab guy's recollection of Adrienne's voice mail in which she said that she just wrecked her car and got two flats and therefore needs a cab. IMO, she wrecked it herself and she called the cab herself.

But there's no reason to think she brougth her clothes, bag, or car key back to the apartment herself. Or that she didn't. It's a 100% unknown.

My money's still on the fact that (IMO) somebody at the party knows (IMO) more than they're telling (IMO), and they're witholding evidence/information (IMO) as well as obstructing justice for doing this, and I can't wait to *IMO* get to see her (IMO) prosecuted for this (IMO). When/if this happens (IMO) I will print out any article I can find about it and dance upon it (not an O).

Yesterday I was pondering a few things about this case and thought of something I hadn't before. Perhaps this was due to looking from a different angle.

When I was a teenager I had a boyfriend for several months who was often in trouble with the law. In one instance my mother had to bring me to the police station to give a statement. When I was in the middle of giving the statement, the officer threw something out there that I wasn't prepared for - it caught me off-guard and I didn't know anything about it so I answered with things that I felt would be most likely to keep him out of trouble, since that was ultimately my goal (not unusual for a teenager to be more focused on staying out of trouble than on the truth, IMO)....

so, when I later read back the police report/statement I had given, to *me* it was obvious when we got to that part, that I had been thrown off and ended up giving an answer that was just meant to silence the question being asked... to *me* it was one of the parts of the report that didn't flow the same, didn't fit in, didnt seem natural. Of course since it was me who knew the truth, I'm not surprised.

BUT.

when reading adrienne's police report a couple of things hit me as being superfluous information/facts/details that seem like they may have been prompted by LE asking a pointed question someone wasn't prepared to answer, and like perhaps the answer given in each instance was meant to keep someone out of trouble rather than being 100% truthful.

The problem is, I'm not sure how to go about pointing out exactly what I'm talking about, since obviously nobody has been named a suspect and WS policy is that unless LE specifically gives a name of a suspect or POI and says they're a suspect or POI, we can't sleuth them, let alone POST about sleuthing them, nor can we post about them in anything but a completely victim-friendly (not neutral, but FRIENDLY) manner, to the best of my understanding of the rules.

And I don't know how to keep it "friendly" while saying his answers on a couple of things might've not been 100% accurate, based on my opinion only.

ETA: snipped by me because I really don't want to flirt with rules, even if I'm 99% sure I"m erring on the side of caution.

Well, in any case, LE has their hands full, IMO, dealing with so many young partygoers.

  • #137
"In a minute" to me means that she was in Scottsdale.......

  • #138
Kind of a lurker on this thread, but I would guess LE is indeed pinning down timelines and re-assessing information as we speak. I see justice coming.

  • #139
Still thinking about Lauren S. and how more than two years later, no one really knows if the friends she spent her last known night with are telling the truth or not. Of course, they all hired lawyers very quickly, which somewhat impeded LE and raised some eyebrows. I wonder if anyone in this case has hired a lawyer or is no longer willing to talk to LE.

My reasons for thinking a perp unrelated to the partygoers killed Adrienne are based on her being the one who made all of the calls and the idea that she was walking toward the market the last time she spoke to the driver. Right now, I believe that to be the case. But if it wasn't her on the phone, of course everything changes. Still, the number of calls seems far too complex to be a part of a hasty, late-night cover-up to me.

Coming out of lurk mode. I am just at the beginning of this thread, but before I forget, from the last thread, this was posted

"GGE's catching those two young men (and that van scary) in the wash getting air lifted on july 21st only feet away from where A's body was found - it's still giving me the creeps (speaking of forced servitude)"

Can someone remember what this is about, or whereabouts I can read about it. Its nothing something I remember reading.

Thanks in advance..hopefully by the time I catch up, more will be known.
RIP Adrienne.
