a very horrific theory. and, i can't dismiss any of the details of yr theory, yet. its plausible.

i never until today even leaned towards such theories, but the evidence could, with just a verification of whatever the car looked like, in that car part lot, either solidify or negate the theory....

I feel just the same, Goblin. But it seems like whenever we are all theorizing...we always come back to the cab and those last few calls.

And only the driver knows what he and she really said.

I agree. If - and only if - the times are correct, then my theory is solid and even the most likely. I don't like the probable outcome either, but it is what it is, and at this point I want her family to have closure no matter what. She has been missing way too long for there to be a likelihood that she is still alive. Especially in light of this new information.

It sucks.

two things i hope can be solved within the next day, by LE...and the third if 2nd is determined..

1. make a positive/negative ID on the slender woman walking into the auto parts lot.

2. determine if car entering north entrance of auto parts lot, matches a descrip of scottsdale cab guy car... OR NOT.

3. criminal background of owner of cab company. this is beyond relevant IF the car matches descrip of the specific manager car which is in the pics on twitter. or the other DARK cabs pictured.

i would think identifying the slender girl is a matter of showing it to roommate, bf, and her father. and aunt, perhaps.

the outfit shes wearing, the manner of walk, and her height in comparison to things walked past.

i wonder how good the footage is, or poor.

Remember, there are other possible theories, like it being unmarked LE, another 'gypsy' cab, or even an acquaintence, but I'm just going for the simplest explanation with the info that we have. Usually that is the way to go in situations like this. Usually.

I don't think it's possible that it was someone random in that sedan. Meaning, I think it was someone she trusted - directly or indirectly (LE) - or someone she scheduled. She was there too long for this not to be the case (around 13-15 minutes). A predator would have scooped her up immediately and not bothered to call/text/answer when a cab driver allegedly called to follow up.

Still think it was cabbie though. All of the other conditions require too many variables and too much coincidence. Most troubling - all other theories are contigent upon his version of events, which already don't seem to add up.

It's no direct evidence, but it is circumstantial and would be compelling to a jury in this context. It's definitely enough to lean on him hard, and most importantly, it's enough to get warrants.

but for the cab driver, to somehow be at a location within 2 mins in same parking lot of salinas, and never of seen her?

i hope LE can figure out IDs for the surveillance cams

I set an online alarm for two minutes and it is a bit of time. She should have been out of the lot by the time the car came in.

If LE has had this video for weeks, and nothing has come of it, I don't think they have much else. Maybe just suspicions.

She would have been out of the lot - if the car wasn't someone she was expecting or waiting for. If she was really meeting cabbie at AMPM, she would've been at AMPM a full minute or two before the sedan pulled into OReillys, and well before cabbie said he arrived at AMPM.

Again, his story isn't adding up at all.

2 mins of a car, and then a woman, both entering a lot of closed business in the wee hrs of morning, is beyond coincidence.

and that, salinas and a cab are both to be enroute to this location...

they need to make posi/negative reviews of the info, (LE), and i believe they probably are.

So then who was making the calls at 5 or after? Are those assuming the cabbie is perp thinking he was making all the calls?
