i drove hardy north few days ago, then cut a right onto rio salado and pushed it to near 65mph, as i was heading into that bend where it curves from east to south and changes into ash (or u could hang east to rio salado, which is the path i think she would of gone if she didnt get in accident, to get to bfs,)

the signs say 15mph turn at the bend, i refused to press my luck doing a 65 turn in there!

she was driving extremely erratic, and that she tore her tires as she did, its a wonder she was able to leave the scene of accident on those wheels.

what the mindset of her at that point, must of been the highest of anxiety... and i was thinking about ALL the moments of extreme emotion she must of been thru, that night

i keep repeating my own quote, and i guess i will say it again.

what seemed to be adriennes' worst night ever, possibly was her last.
i can't imagine the mood at the candle vigil; i wish i made it there.

i hope that another is held possibly on mill ave on 5th/mill as there is a large area by post office where a nice vigil could be held, AND ALSO get a lot of public attention, if held on a friday night.

cheers webbie sleuths! i hope new info comes thru soon. each day that passes, it just gets that much more depressing

i noted on my last trip to the area, that the back patio of cornish pasty (a great restaurant /bar!!!) faces north towards 7th street.

i dont think, or know, if they have surveillance on the patio... its the first business on the northeast corner of the ampm lot that runs along hardy...

my thinking is, IF salinas crossed over to oreillys, how soon did she cross over? its possible she walked the entire length of hardy down to ampm, and then crossed over from oreillys to ampm.

tough to note why she would, as various parts of hardy feel unsafe on both sides, there is no real 'right' way to walk that street in terms of safety, it is what it is.

until that surveillance footage is dismissed, or embraced, i feel like (for me,) this case treads water and is stuck being able to move forward based on that info being useless, or not.

maybe, what ifs, just don't seem fair to assess with the info provided now; until something is substantiated, or not.

perhaps LE has a good lead they just can't leak....

Rick salinas quoted as saying he doesn't believe it is AS in the video.

I guess on one hand he should know if it's AS or not. I like to think I'd recognise my family on footage.

But on the other hand, emotions can leave us blind to what's in front of us. His hope could be clouding his judgement.

So it appears AS father does not believe it is AS in the video.

thats a bit of a relief, if its not her.
and then, it also means less info in regards to where/what salinas was doing at that time.

the car driving into reillys at that time, and the girl as well. i guess thats just an incredible coincidence of circumstance and location. amazing really

Out of curiosity, can anyone recall any similar cases where the taxi driver was involved?

  • #167
I would rather hear LE say it was not her.

Adrienne's Vigil was very nice but small. The weather was ominous. The wind began to blow and then the rain came pouring down. I stood there in the rain talking to her mom and then to Francisco.

Her parents are so nice. The mother so sweet and the father so sad and so broken hearted. Both of them so broken hearted.

I have more to share but will wait until I can.

For now you can read about it here:

Vigil marks 5 weeks since Tempe teen vanished

Dozens of people bowed their heads at Jaycee Park Saturday night as Rick Salinas prayed for his missing daughter during a candlelight vigil.

"We pray that you send your angels in flight to be with her and comfort her. Keep her safe. Keep her from harm," said Rick Salinas.

For the parents of 19-year-old Adrienne Salinas, the past five weeks have been hell. Adrienne was last seen around daybreak on June 15.

Investigators say she was headed to her boyfriend's apartment when she hit a curb and got two flat tires just a few blocks from her apartment near Hardy and 5th Street. Phone records show that she called a cab and asked the driver to meet her at a nearby gas station but Salinas never showed up.

"It's very hard. It's very hard to stay positive, because my emotions betray me," said Adrienne's mother Suzanne Coss.

"Adrienne is a big part of my life and I feel like part of me is missing," said Rick Salinas.

Heartbreaking. I feel so bad for her family. :(

Maybe not important (I don't know) but I find it odd:

"According to Tempe police, a witness who was driving to work in the early morning hours of June 15 saw Salinas' car driving erratically at about 3:40 a.m. The witness said the car passed her near the Rio Salado Parkway and struck a curb, flattening both the driver's-side tires. The car sped off on the damaged tires before the woman could check on the driver, according to the police report. The witness called the police, but responding officers were unable to locate the car, the report says."

bbm - why were the officers not able to find the car? The witness told them she sped off, and we know Adrienne abandoned the car not very far away. So, were the officers not following the indicated direction? Otherwise they must have seen the car I would assume.

Yup this has been causing me to staple my head to the wall with frustration. Where exactly in the "area" did the cops check? If her car wasn't anywhere and not on Roosevelt and Brown yet I worry about where her car MUST have been during that time (I worry about it being by the lake on one of those side paths/roads during that time. Jmo.)

I'm still not convinced she physically was the one to drop her key and wallet off at the house after the wreck either.

Not discrediting your theory - just discussing...

I believe forensic were done at the apt...

Would be interesting to know if LE took photos of BF, GF to show they did not any marks/bruises...

I think if either were involved, they'd be arrested by now or at least be under allot of calls to come down the station...

Same with cabbie - cab was checked...

That long exposure time, alone for about 1.5 hours in wee hours and in vulnerable state ...

Great to be able to discuss!

Re: forensics, sometimes a murder can occur without leaving any forensic evidence, say strangulation or asphyxiation as opposed to a crime involving release of blood....

As far as if someone was involved, they'd be arrested right now- Not necessarily. LE would want to make sure they have all the evidence possible before filing charges, so as to not provide an opportunity for acquittal due to lack of evidence. They could be also be keeping an eye out, building their case, etc. I've seen other cases where LE seems to think someone could be involved, but they just don't have enough evidence to arrest them.

I agree with you...alone in the wee hours, a recipe for disaster.

I doubt police look too hard for a car that crashed and then drove off, considering no other cars or people were hit.

  • #172
I think SOMETHING was going on in that car between Adrienne and someone else. An unknown person.

I just want to mention that sometimes, other people try to cause drama in other people's relationships for their own gain (say, another interested male trying to get her to turn away from her bf....this has actually happened to me as well, lol, people making up crap to try to break us up).

  • #173
If LE says there were two people in the car, I will believe it.

  • #174
Again, in my experience I mentioned above, I was on foot alone in the middle of the night....(It took me all night to find them. Apparently I was a sleuther back then, lol...). Cars would eerily follow, so when I saw lights approaching from behind me in the distance, I would run and hide til they passed...(in ditches, behind trees)...This also happened to me when I was accidentally left at a bar one night...Any woman walking alone in the middle of the night is a target.

I had a similar experience while out and about in the dark after being stranded. I hid every time I saw a car approaching. The only time I didn't was when there was a long block wall with houses behind it. There was no place to hide there. But as soon as I could, I was back to ducking and hiding behind trees, cars, you name it. At that time of night I would not have just walked around without being very aware of my surroundings and done so boldly. I was scared.

Slow down guys... I believe that it was the original transcript of the 911 call and that hasn't been confirmed. i.e. she THOUGHT there were two. I am likely wrong but it was never confirmed this was a "new" finding. It may have been that the admin was just then turned on to that tape. We don't know how many people are admin'ing that page.

No NEW tape was released to my knowledge...

im gonna go out on a limb here, and say that because we are following EVERY BIT OF INFO, that we might know more than the salinas missing page, or the aunt fb page, too.

they might in a month say OH MY GOD THERE IS SALINAS AT OREILLYS AND A TAXI CAB AND THEY JUST TOLD US PRAISE GOD PRAISE GOD SHES COMING COME

and i wouldnt be surprised to read that, on those pages. likewise, i think that the 911 call is ALL that was being referenced, and nothing new surfaced that actually unequivocally puts 2 people in the salinas car prior to accident.

Exactly. And, I participated in that convo under the FB post and if it is read in the correct order (all comments, not top comments) it occurred (real time), the individual suggesting they seek help from Marc was emailing info about Marc Klaas, not the "new information". :twocents:

I thought the caller said "they" as in what one says when they don't know the sex of the person they are referring to.

For all of the conspiracy theorists who insist we are watched and monitored 24/7...sure seems like people vanish into thin air far too often. Makes one wish we really were monitored all the time...

All good points, but Imo I believe the official missing persons page for AS in regard to the two people being in the car.

Check out the July 9th post speaking on behalf of the family.

Apparently the police at that point were neglecting the case in the families opinion.

Which one are you referring to specifically? There are three.
