Thanks GGE.
I was looking this over last night and believe it will provide a wealth of new details and information.

I too wonder if NG has obtained a copy of the report. Can someone please post a link to her online programming if its available? I seem to remember on Hailey Dunn needing to watch it online. Otherwise I hope someone will be here to give us a play by play. please.
NG can be disappointing-but lets hope she gives Adrienne 100%!!!

Also, all....Amandareckonwith (crankycrankerson) has a fabulous file archive documenting video, msm, photo's on Adrienne's case and other missing persons cases. A link can be found on the first page of the thread. Its a great resource to be able to refer back to.

Thanks Amandareckonwith~

You were looking the police report over last night? Do you have a full copy?

Ive checked Nancy Grace's website and she makes no mention of Adrienne.

http://www.hlntv.com/shows/nancy-grace

Why would the missing persons page say her case is going on nancy grace tonight? Yes I am now beginning to question the credibility of her MP page like SandSage bc of this.

Well, you asked me to and *I* checked it and told you there was no sign of her covering the story.

Just like the screencaps were all mine, but I kept getting PM's asking me if I had seen other people's screencaps. It was kinda funny, I kept having to reply "yeah uh those are all mine."

PS- here's her twitter page. NG always tweets what her show will be about prior to it going on the air. I'll keep an eye out for tonight's show info.

Yes and I checked the link you sent me via PM and decided to provide the info here to the forum. I just wanted that to be known publicly...

What are we playing dibs? (confused)

Additionally I use a phone APP that makes PMs and forums appear/link very differently in respect to the desktop version. My apologies for any issues this may cause in my ability to see prior content in messages and who is being copied etc. That others using the desktop version may see.

Would love to have a pdf of that police report if anyone happens across it.

Wide Open, can anyone pick up and listen in on a cab dispatch call if they tune into a specific CV radio channel? Just curious as you have experience.

Depends on what the cab co is using and what the person who wants to monitor owns, even more expensive systems can be monitored:
The newest innovation in scanners is Trunking Scanners. Trunking scanners are designed to track Motorola® Type I and Type II (such as Smartnet™ and Privacy Plus™) and hybrid analog trunking systems, ...

Yes! Public information forum for taxi drivers:

"Hi Cab Driver and all,

Right, 152.36 is channel 1 (base) but quite likely a "split channel" so you may have to also listen to the mobile frequency 157.62 as well. Going by the callsign it looks like an old license and according to the old band plan taxis didn't use repeaters on those frequencies, they were paired with the mobiles being on the higher of the two. Channel 2 is simplex 159.66 and that frequency looks like a later modification to that license under the new band plan, originally taxis were only on the lower, paired channels.

BTW I'm quite familiar with Taxi Wars and the competition stealing fares."

All of the posts give info on scanner frequencies for cabs and scanner tips.

I tried to answer this prior.
We use cell phones to dispatch and in the vehicles.
Please read the article link provided below.

I do not know much about how the 2-way radios work.

Taxi frequencies are generally licensed in duplex pairs. One frequency is used for the dispatcher to talk to the cabs, and a second frequency is used to the cabs to talk back. This means that the drivers generally cannot talk to each other. Some cabs have a CB radio in addition to the company radio so they can speak to each other.

Scroll all down a little more than half the page and it will explain it better than i can here.

on Nancy's page it says:

"Tonight: Mark O’Mara sits down for a one-on-one interview you don’t want to miss! What does he think about the case and will he tell us what’s next for George Zimmerman? And also tonight --Digital Firestorm: Zimmerman now facing the court of public opinion as the country immediately takes to social media after the Not Guilty verdict! Millions of Facebook & Twitter flooding social media in a flurry of fiery reaction. Some are now using social media as a call of action to demand justice while 1 million have signed a petition demanding Zimmerman face federal charges. Will the government act after the Zimmerman verdict? "

maybe it's left over from yesterday regarding last night's show, though.

:banghead:

This does not sound promising. More often than not, NG may use the "bombshell" headline and then do a 3 minute synopsis of old news. Very disappointing.

To my knowledge (and I have searched for like an hour now and I have an internet related degree so I'd like to think I know how to google effectively), the ONLY mention of this case being on NG today was from the FB page for Adrienne.

I can't find it ANYPLACE else. at all.

  • #434
My fear is if anyone, it seems, can listen into these dispatch calls even if they aren't a cabbie.

It's been gnawing at me.

Tonight on CNN at 5:00 this case will be discussed on the Nancy Grace show. This is information I have just now been given by Sgt. Mike Pooley of the Tempe Police Dept. He says that there will be new information on the show. He will also be on the show tonight.

So...tune in! 5:00 Pacific Time CNN

The nancy grace show is on HLN. You meant HLN, correct?

Just called Pooley as well. No answer.

The FB page also said it was CNN. HLN is a sister station to CNN and NG does appear on there in very short segments from time to time. That may explain why we see nothing on the HLN site.

ETA:
It may still be called CNN2 or CNN Headline News in some places, I have no idea.

But Miss said that it was going to be on the nancy grace show. Does nancy grace have a show on CNN as well???

I'm aware that HLN is a CNN affiliate, but wasn't aware the network name changed according to viewer location/community. Crazy.
