tom, the first call was it from her cellphone?

well you know what today we looked and it looks liek that 423 call was from our dispatch to HER which means a call might've come in before that and we might've been busy and she left a message for us to call her back so that call at 423 was initiated by our dispatch

yeah from the records we have from the phone company it looks like she was the one who initiated all the phone calls.

My hinky meter goes off on this. He just found out today that she ha to have called before??? I call B.S. Earlier in the broadcast he said the first call was at 4:23 am and lasted 3/4 minutes. Then he says after a commercial break that it was them calling her. :doh::dunno:

I was stunned to hear 32 calls vs. 11 to BF...wonder why 11 were reported earlier? And if the calls just went to voice mail and she hit redial each time? Very strange anyway.

I agree....the bf took a polygraph and passed. Eventhough they had a very emotion filled night...arguing...driving to his place and back...he returned her phone to her...he called her roommates....

But the most obvious points are what Ms Siegler (?) said...to check out boyfriend and cab driver...those would be the people that are known to have had contact with her.

I have followed other cases here previously and rejoined recently hoping this very sad situation would be resolved quickly and positively for the missing teen and her parents. As a parent of a teen daughter, I am so distressed for both of them. What concerns me is the statement (BBM) that her phone was returned to her. From a previous statement (see Boyfriend Speaks Out), he said she left her phone in his car, and he couldn't find her to return it, so he went home. Could anyone please explain how, when and where her phone was returned to her? It seemed to me she may have used a different phone to call the cab and text her BF . . .

he was on tv in an interview saying that she was in his car. got out at fifth and mill, he got out after her to give her the phone that was on his passenger seat, she kept going, he called her roommate to say to please come meet her so she gets home safe, the roommate said she got on her bike and went looking but didn't find her, etc.

I never saw himasy he couldn't find her, but then I've missed a lot - do you think you could you find a link? this is really odd isn't it?! and definitely worth making sure we have quoted here!! thanks for pointing it out!

Are you sure? I have only read that he exited his car, and returned the phone to her before calling her roommate. And LE confirmed tonight that all calls to cab were made from her phone.

I guess I owe an apology for getting carried away and posting my theory on what happened to AS. My only defense is that I cut my teeth here on the Dylan Redwine case where a person not named a POI nor a suspect by police was discussed openly and freely, at length. I forget it's not that way on all cases. Sowwy.

Ya me too. And if this particular question was not allowed to be asked, as MissD suggests, I wonder why? Maybe that woman and car have been identified already and ruled out?

I feel that if it were ruled out they would release that info.

IIRC that was because the person's past and history of domestic actions were published in MSM.

His car and home were searched in the beginning and he was questioned, but I don't remember if he was given a poly.

He was DNA tested. They won't say if he refused to take the poly. But I think they would have said if he passed one. JMO

No, not sure at all. Just looking for clarification on what appeared to be conflicting information. May be he implied that he gave it back to her at that point in time . . . Looked for the article and only saw this reference to her phone:

"Arteaga then told officers when he came up to a stop light at 5th Street and Mill Avenue in Tempe, Salinas got out of his car and began walking home.
Arteaga says he also got out of the car to give Salinas her cell phone that she had left on the passenger seat of the car.

Can you point me to the article stating that he did in fact returned the phone to her (BBM) when she got out of his car as he was stopped at a red light on Mill & 5th, then noticed her phone on his passenger seat, so he got out to look for her but couldn't find her . . . then called one of the roommates at 3:23 am to say she was walking home . . . so then he left and went home, I guess? So many missing pieces to this puzzle. It's just so strange, that's all.

I would not be distraught if a random girl I didn't know from Eve went missing before I picked her up at my job. I would be puzzled, perplexed, and curious - but not distraught. I would also not want or need a PR blitz from a family member. JMO
