I think if she was being followed and couldn't get in touch with her boyfriend, she would have been calling other folks like mad. I think we can rule out that she was in fear up until the point something happened.

Perhaps yes, perhaps no.........sometimes the follower is tricky. Sometimes you think it's your imagination. It is not always obvious, and sometimes you can be unsure if you are being followed or not.

I wouldn't rule it out completely, Tonto.

This is telling, too. This all goes back to the whole one minute she was on the phone and fine, and the next minute it was off and she was gone. I'd love to know if she has GPS and where she was when this happened.

60 seconds, folks. It's either a highly efficient perpetrator, someone she knew, or someone she trusted at that time.

I thought LE said all the calls from her phone came from the same general area as her apartment, but that probably means they just all hit the same tower.

So, whoever got her, got her quickly and efficiently.
This possibly indicates a strong perp or maybe even multiple perps (well, she was tiny and not 100% healthy, so maybe it wouldn't have taken much), some sort of weapon, chloroform or blow to the head...

Also, per cab guy - if the police are definitively calling it a kidnapping, then they likely have specific evidence that she was kidnapped.

Kidnapped/abducted, same thing, IMO, but lots of times LE use the phrase when nothing else makes sense. I don't know what actual evidence they could have that would seemingly have them without a suspect or vehicle description a month and half later.

They did, but I'd love to have specific coordinates. I hope they do.

I asked this before, but don't recall an answer...

In other cases (Mickey S), the perp was out strolling for an escort, right, when he came across Mickey?

Are there any red light districts close by?

Well if they were in front of a particular house, for instance, and sex offender lived there, could they have obtained a warrant by now? My thought is that even if they have a specific spot, it does not seem to have led them anywhere.

Actually Mickey's killer was calling escort services when she spotted her.

Can any of you locals recall any similar cases within the last few years? Think, think! :)

*gasp!* In Arizona?! That's Illlleeeeegal! ;)

The only active red light areas are off Van Buren, Roosevelt and this way, west Mesa. NewTimes and Craigslist seem to be the preferred resource for escorts in the valley.

EDIT: That I know of... not really something I find myself needing to know... NTTAWWT. :)

I don't buy that. They aren't going to characterize a girl that went missing under such an array of bizarre circumstances as a kidnapping unless they had evidence of it. To LE, it could have been any number of things that caused her disappearance - including one of her own doing. I mean, they may have had an inkling that the probability was high that she was taken due to the purported timeline, but they're not going to call it a kidnapping unless they know it was one. It might not be as compelling as a suspect or vehicle on camera, but it could be blood or similar.

My gut based on some of the timeline stuff leads me to believe that someone or something had her attention for a good ten minutes when she should've already been at the AMPM.

The cab was there waiting.

Why did AS say she'd be there in a minute?

First call she made was at 4:23-4:27. Granted, we don't know what time she left the house or why she wanted to get picked up at the AMPM really.

But......

It's a fifteen minute walk. Or a five minute ride by car.

She should've been there at around 4:50 the latest.

Was there another house party along the way that she poked her head into? I've read they often still go on at this hour. Does LE have any calls of disturbance that night from another party house?

And Cab Guy, what are you seeing that seems odd to you in the timeline that you referenced a few posts back?

But it would track her route to the nanometer. It would tell them if she was picked up by car or otherwise. It would tell them which way she was headed until it was turned off. They could calculate speed and time.

It would help.

<respectfully snipped>

Hmmmmmm...
<going back to mamacita's timeline>

If this is the case, there could be some possibilities here (puppy for sale, have you seen my puppy, help I'm injured, can I use your phone...> Reaching, I know!!!

I think if they found blood, we would have heard about it. And they did not find her phone, or any other items, signs of a struggle, as far as we know. I can't think what evidence they could have, but I think it is fairly obvious she was kidnapped. JMO

She did not fall down in a faint or health-related collapse, or she would have been found. She cannot have gone too far without a lot of cash or a credit card, which she apparently is not using. Her phone apparently has not been used. She must not have called anyone other than the taxi or her BF, or else LE would not be spending so much effort in tracking down party-goers. It really leaves nothing but a kidnapping/abduction scenario, IMO.

IMO they would classify it as "Missing Person" not "Kidnapped" if there was genuinely NO evidence of such.

Fair enough, but they have not said "kidnapping" to the public. So I guess we will have to wait and see. I just can't see another scenario.

Hopefully that police report will shed more light than it adds to the confusion. :please:
