Right. Just don't name anyone. How do they know that the party finally broke up at 5?

I am confused. How long had AS been missing when her dad found her car?

5am.
It is not an odd time for a party to break up at all. The fact that it coincides with the time AS went missing is.
So everyone is leaving and AS is walking to AmPm - nobody saw her out and about ?
Or maybe someone did and grabbed her.

Her dad shows up at around 2pm.
The door is unlocked and no one was there?

I'd expect to find a few people still asleep at that time...

Wonder where they were...
I forgot it was Father's Day.

The time frame that she went missing to when her dad called in that he found her car and was worried was from:

4:53 am Saturday Morning to the next day, Sunday, at 2pm.

About 36 hours.

In Rick's call to police he also notes her phone was off and kept going to voicemail and she wasn't answering texts, which is NOT like her to do as she usually gets back to people. When she finally didn't even turn on her phone to call her dad for fathers day (or attempt to call him from another phone), Rick showed up and found her car near her apartment :(. Heartbreaking.

Did they all head out to
Waffle House or somewhere similar? (no Waffle House in AZ
is there?

Is it crazy to think that when her cell died that she might have returned to her apartment

or when she discovered her wallet was left behind?

just because they cell shut off doesn't mean she was grabbed right then.

someone could have seen party people leave and AS return to an empty apartment alone...
could be a neighbor!

I chose 4:53 am as being around the time she disappeared bc that's when she told The cabbie on the phone that she would be there in a minute (if it was her...)

Whoever snagged her had a vehicle......not some homeless guy. Could be random, but it is odd that she hasn't been "recovered". I tend to believe that the calls were from her....but not all of them were necessarily her choice, before her phone went "dead" IMO

This is a good point. Additionally, her second cell phone charger was noted to be missing from her room in the police report.

I'm thinking her phone died before she left the house and she might have grabbed the phone charger so she could charge it while in Scottsdale at the BFs or at another location/house to charge it.

IMO

Good point gingr :)

A room mate said AS wasn't good at texting and didn't do it much.
- yet I have seen where she has told people to text her...

maybe she just meant she didn't text 24/7.

Still not pointing a finger at the Bf -
but 36 hours!!!

He got 32 calls and a text that said I'm coming over - she didn't show and he never called her back ?

That sounds more like he was trying break up with her that night to me.
imo

From AS texts she seems like she didn't prefer it and was very short/terse with her correspondence via text rather than descriptive. I agree, though to me it seems it wasn't her preferred way to correspond. I don't think this would mean she would neglect to respond to texts from others or use it when needed IMO. Then again I didn't know AS so all I can say is that the text I have seen "I'm coming overt" (sic) seems like she is very direct when using text message.

If she was waiting for the cab and found a cheaper way to get to her bf's and took it, what would that have to be? bus? is there any other option there, aside from a ride from another person?

  • #293
Possibly, the flurry of calls to BF were not her desperation in seeing him but desperation of another order, i.e. HELP!!

There is something that has been in the back of my mind for some time now. I thought it was mentioned early on that some of AS friends went to Huntington beach a few days after she disappeared. Please correct me if I am wrong. I am not sure how far Huntington Beach is from Tempe. I wonder..... Who all went ? Did they drive? How many cars etc. they may have taken? Did they have room for extra cargo? Just thinking out loud.

NIC Interesting idea about JEALOUSY....... they all seemed to party without any concern for Adrienne

Most if not all of them likely did not realize anything happened. They thought she's at her bf's place.

  • #296
GOODWITCH Interesting point. If that's so, LE surely knows and isn't sharing it with us monkeys lol. Could be some pary people collaboration going on here. IMO

  • #297
Right, most didn't pay attention. But who was the BF paying attention to? Attention receiver would know.

if his phone was off, he probably didn't realize she called that many times. i dont think phones show missed calls that came in when the phone was off.

assuming his phone was actually off. idk if it's been confirmed either way. i've only heard he told LE he was asleep at the time(s) she was calling.

Ok, since I'm a psych person, I'm going to look at what may have been going on with AS since she became ill---->from a psychological standpoint.

This is all speculation and moo....not meant to be disparaging to AS in any way.

Big Question: Who did AS confide in? She had been hospitalized, she may have been on pain meds for months, she may have not seen her friends (or even her bf as much) during her lengthy illness 'cause in today's fast society, there are many more fair-weather-friends than we'd imagine. It's always disappointing to see that. IMHO, the illness changed AS in many ways. AS may have been disillusioned by the whole scene.....she may have outgrown her pals...she may have expected more. Did they visit her when she was ill....come to see her in the hospital? AS may have been (and rightfully so) bitter and harboring resentment. Had she started to develop other friendships outside her circle? What were her plans when the lease expired?

Maybe AS suspected bf of cheating on her since she had been ill, maybe there was some truth to that and I would think her roomies know. Maybe even one of her roomies were making flirtatious advances with bf (hence the reason AS sat out on the grass outside her apartment after the fight). She very much may have felt all alone that night---wishing she had more loyalty and understanding from both her bf and her roomies. My gut tells me there was a strain in some key relationships that AS had. That doesn't make these key people suspects in her disappearance, but it does point to a young woman (AS) with a lot of tumultuousness in her life---and that seemingly added to some tragedy here.

Also, since the roomie was called by bf after one of their fights that evening and asked to get her back to the apartment safe, AND the roomie came via bicycle and couldn't find her (?) makes me wonder if AS frequently took shortcuts and walked behind houses? She probably still wasn't up to par and shortcuts would've made it easier for her---but she may not have realized the risk in being off the street? Cab Guy mentioned something along the lines of one possible shortcut when he did his great video walk.

with a party with that many people at it it would be really hard to keep track of what time everyone left at. There would probably have been people leaving at all different times so when they say the party finished at 5 how many people exactly were still there when the party finished at 5? and how many people did AS actually know who were at the party jmo but surely there were people there that were friends of friends or whatever maybe someone took a liking to AS and saw her walking from the apartment herself and just decided there and then that it was the perfect opportunity to take her. JMO
